This is in Wunmi’s pov

"Good morning." I said to Natasha as I walked inside the office building. She didn't answer me as usual, then I walked in thinking about why she's like that. I almost wished I didn’t say a word to her, the scowl on her face was scary as hell, almost seem like a bad luck for a new morning.

"Good morning Wunmi." Caroline greeted me, making me realize I already walked past her without noticing it.

I turned and gave her an apologetic smile. "Good morning, Don’t be annoyed."

"What were you thinking?"

"It's about Natasha,” I frowned. “She hasn't been nice ever since I got here, I don't know why?"

Caroline laughed. "So you're putting that girl issue in your head, Don't mind her it's her own problem. That's how she is sometimes, I mean most times." She chuckled.

"I really don’t understand her, anyways I’ll see you at lunch." I shrugged and walked into my office.

Mr Tayo wasn't around by the time I entered so I decided to take out the food Lara packed for me in a cooler before I left home this morning.

I was almost halfway eating the entire content of the cooler when I heard footsteps, I hurriedly tried to hide the food but I was caught already. Mr Tayo was laughing at me as he saw my effort trying to hide the food going to waste, I covered the food and put it beside the desk.

He saw me and spoke."I didn't say you shouldn't eat. No wonder you are always getting fat." He laughed and walked into his office.

I looked at myself, I wasn't getting fat or even fat, besides I won’t die if I’m fat. Then I remembered the words he said, those were the same words Tayo says just to stop me from eating too much.

I have to know if he's the same one today, I thought to myself. I know I have been saying it but today is the day.

I took my food and continued eating, also thinking about how to ask him. No sooner have I finished eating when I heard the phone ring.

"Hello." I said professionally into the receiver. I was already getting accustomed to the ways here.

"Meet me inside when you're done." Mr Tayo said, his voice was different from when he spoke here some minutes ago, it was like he was sad.

I hurriedly got up and went into his office, even forgetting to knock as I rushed in.

"I'm here sir." I said but he wasn't facing me, his chair was facing the wall.

When he turned I saw that he was really sad, too sad for someone that was laughing some minutes ago, he stood up and looked at me.

"Wunmi, I'm really sorry."

"What happened?" I asked, confused as to why he was like this. "Mr Tayo, what's wrong sir?"

"Sit."

I looked at him again for confirmation and he nodded, I sat down on one of the chairs.

He sat too and started. "Wunmi, I've decided to tell you everything. It's me, Tayo. The same Tayo you wrote the final examinations with."

He stared down at the ground. “The same one who left you at the bus stop six years ago.

I stared straight at him. I was not surprised, I have been expecting this for a while now.

“Why didn't you tell me earlier?" I stood up from the chair, the matter didn’t need me to sit.

"I didn't know how to tell you. I was a bit scared,” He got up and walked towards me. “I didn't know how you would react when I tell you because I know how you get when you're mad." He stopped just a few inches from me.

"Wow." I clapped my hands and gave a dry laugh. "So what are you going to tell me for what happened before, sorry?" I walked backwards slowly, not wanting him to come to close to me.

"Wunmi, I need to tell you one-"

"Just leave me alone." I stormed out of the office to mine, not letting him complete his statement.

"Wunmi, wait!" I heard my name but I didn't answer.

Mr Tayo came out of his office and looked at me with pleading eyes. "What do you want?" I snapped.

He stood still and stared at me.

I sighed. "Alright I'm sorry, I shouldn't have gotten that way besides you're my boss."

He shook his head. "I don’t want sorry, I’m the one apologizing."

"What do you want then?"

He came closer to me, very close till there was only a little inch between us. I got really uncomfortable and I started taking steps backward till my back touched the wall, beside mt chair.

He moved closer to me and used one of his hand to pull me close to him. My cheeks became hot as my breast touched his chest, and I looked down at the floor.

The air surrounding us became hot as we got very close to each other, he used his finger to raise my head so I’ll look at him. I stared into his brown eyes while he looked into my already dreamy black ones.

Then he kissed me, softly and slowly.

Why am I acting this way?

I was so weak-kneed, I dropped the pen in my hand unknowingly then I used my hand to hold him closer too, feeling the warmth in his hugs. Then I kissed him back just like what he did to me, getting my own first kiss at the age of 22.

The kiss was cut short by the ringing of my phone. I smiled as I hid my face, I'm very sure if I was white my face would be like a tomato by now.

I looked at Mr Tayo or maybe I should call him just Tayo, he was smiling and touching his lips like a teenager who just got her first kiss. Something I should be the one doing.

I shook my head as I smiled at him then I checked my phone, I got a missed call from Lara.

So much for being a best friend, girl. Calling at the worse time ever.

Mr Tayo collected the phone from me and dropped it on the table. "Would you... Uh, go out with me like you and I... Go out on a date?"

I shook my head.

What is he asking me? It was all too soon.

"Why? Is there a rule against going on a date with your boss?" Mr Tayo asked and I nodded my head, slowly, trying not to meet his face.

"I think so."

"Well, if there is. I'm your boss so the rule is canceled.” He shrugged. “I'll pick you up at 6pm on Saturday, and for your address, don’t worry I already have it."

"Okay sir." I grinned widely, I was never really angry at Tayo.

He came closer again and nipped on my lips before he went back to his office.

Ahhhhh! Tayo is back!

I smiled and licked my lips again before sitting. I took my phone and dialed Lara, I was going to tell her the entire gist. I guess even after seeing Natasha this morning, the day wasn’t a bad one.
