LOGINThe next morning, Avery woke up to find an angel sleeping next to her. Light brown hair, red cheeks, thin lips, soft skin…She smiled and got out of the bed, feeling a little pain between her legs. She took a quick shower and went to prepare breakfast.
After an hour, Damian woke up to chocolate waffles smell. He widened his eyes and ran to the kitchen.
“Whoa! Ave!”
Avery chuckled, “I made them for you,”
“Thanks,” Damian grinned before he took a bite.
Avery smiled as she happy things weren't awkward for them. That was why she trusted her best friend. She knew he would never change.
“Hey, beautiful. Ready for tomorrow?” Nate found her in the faculty hallway and put his arm around her shoulders.
“Y—yeah,” Avery nervously rubbed the back of her neck.
“Prepare yourself. It's going be a great night!” he chuckled and winked to his friend, who was watching them.
Damian finished his class and spotted the couple smiling to each other in front of the lockers. His chest tightened and he shook his head, “No Damian. Come on, just don't.”
“Hey, you.” Nate and Avery approached him, and he tensed when he saw his arm around her shoulders.
“What?” he asked coldly.
“You're a DJ, right?” Nate asked.
“Yeah, why?”
“I will need you to put on some good music on the radio tomorrow night,” Nate smirked, staring at Avery.
Damian clenched his fists, “Why?”
“Don't put slow and crappy music, okay? Bye!”
Avery smiled awkwardly and left with Nate.
“Do you want to have dinner tomorrow after practice?” Emmett asked.
“Um, I can't. I already have plans.” Avery said while wiping the sweat on her forehead.
“Oh, okay. Too bad, then.”
“Maybe next time?” Avery smiled.
“Yup!”
The next day, Avery finished all her, and the moment came for Avery to go to Nate's loft. She was extremely nervous because she didn't know much about Nate. She didn't know how he liked the things to be done.
“Hey,” Damian came to see her in front of the Psychology faculty, and he was out of breath.
“Were you running, Dam?”
“Yeah, I just, um, anyways, Were are you going now?”
“To Nate's.”
Damian bit his lip nervously.
“I should go now. I'll be l—”
“Wait!” Damian grabbed Avery's arm to stop her.
“Dam?”
“Um,” Damian nervously rubbed his neck. “Please be careful,” he said.
Avery smiled softly, looking at how serious he was. “I will,”
“If you don't like it. You tell him, okay? Don't let him force you, and—”
“Dam!” Avery chuckled.
“Anyways, if you ever need something, call me, okay?”
“I'll be okay, Dam,” Avery said before hugging him and running to the residence.
“Here you are, Avery,” Nate smirked, and she blushed because he was half-naked, showing off his muscled body and his six-pack.
“Like what you’re seeing?” he chuckled. “Anyways, wait for me in my room. I'll be there in five.”
“Okay,” Avery nervously opened the door to be welcomed by a messy room. It smelled like cigarettes and sweaty clothes. The windows were closed, letting the darkness reign over the space.Clothes and shoes were covering the whole carpet as well as the bed.
We'll do it here? she asked herself and she looked around, disgusted.
“What are you waiting for? Take off your clothes,” Nate said right after he came in.
“What?”
“Are you waiting for me to do it for you, baby girl?” Nate scoffed. “I don't have time for that. My roommate won't spend the night outside. He'll be back in two hours.”
Avery took off her clothes and Nate pushed her on the bed without cleaning around. He pinned her hands above her head, making her scared and confused. “Just to warn you, pretty girl. I always go hard.”
Avery had never suffered so much before. The first reason was that she was so blind to trust someone who did not deserve her, and the second, because Nate was hurting her at that moment.
“Stop please,” Avery had no more energy to shout, and Nate wasn't even listening. He was thrusting hard, making her legs tremble with pain and fear.
“Come on! Don't play the kid!” Nate shouted.
“But you're hurting me!”
“Don't act all innocent. I know you must have done it a bunch of times before.”
“No! Agh! Stop!”
Tears began to fall from her eyes, and during this difficult moment, she thought of her friend, Damian. She thought about their first night— her first time.
Why was it different? Why didn't it hurt that much?
“Shut up, you're too loud! People will hear you.”
“N—Nate stop! I beg you!”
“I should finish what I started, pretty girl,” Nate smirked and thrust again.
Avery felt anger taking over her body. Her chest tightened, and her heart threatened to explode inside her chest. She felt dizzy for a moment, then she opened her eyes as someone else.
“She said fucking stop it!” Scarlett took the lead of the body.
“She?” Nate scoffed. “You lost your mind, or what?”
“Get off me,” Scarlett muttered coldly. “ Fucking bastard, get off me!” she pushed him and made him fall on the floor.
“What the fuck?!” Nate widened his eyes.
Scarlett felt dizzy and closed her eyes for a moment. Avery was back.
“The hell is wrong with you?” Nate muttered, “Anyways, I had my dose for tonight.” he stood up, smirking. He quickly cleaned himself and put on his clothes.
“Where are you going?” Avery asked.
“To meet some friends.” Avery frowned.
“You should go too. My roommate will arrive.” Nate said before leaving the loft.
Avery covered her face and started crying, feeling all her body hurting and her heart breaking. It was 11 pm, and normally, she would be sleeping peacefully in her room, but now she was lying on a different bed— a messy and dirty one. Her body was aching from head to toe, and she was very hungry.
Damian was at the college's radio station, and he just finished his work. His boss complimented him because they had more listeners during nights thanks to his DJ skills. His mixes were the best.
He put on his jacket and headed to the parking lot to get on the car, then his phone rang.
“Ave?”
“Dam,”
He tensed when he heard her crying.
“Ave, what's wrong?”
“Can you pick me up please?”
“What happened?! Tell me!”
“Nothing. Just come please.”
“That bastard did something,” Damian muttered and punched the steering wheel. He started the car and drove as fast as he could.
He found Avery waiting for him in front of the bloc. She was pale and looked tired and cold. He got out of the car and ran to her.
“Ave, what happened?” he took off his jacket and put it around her shoulders.
“He wasn't gentle,” Avery mumbled, staring at her shoes.
“Asshole,” Damian frowned. “Where the hell is he?! I need to fucking kill him!”
“Dam!” Avery grabbed his arm. “He left,”
“What?” Damian furrowed his eyebrows.
“He went to his friends.”
“He left you alone? Like this?” Damian couldn’t believe his ears. “He’s insane,”
“Don't worry, Dam,”
“What the hell are you saying, Ave? He hurt you!”
“Scarlett was there,” Avery said.
“Scarlett?”
Avery nodded. “She appeared for a short moment, and she made him stop. She helped me.”
“I see. So, Scarlett, uh?” Damian frowned.
“Please, Dam. I just want to go home,”
“Okay, let's go.”
They headed to the car, and Damian realised his friend was limping. She was having a hard time to walk properly. He stopped and stared at her, feeling anger devouring his heart.
“He hurt you a lot, right?”
Avery nodded shyly, and Damian clenched his fists. He approached her and lifted her.
“What are you doing?!” Avery gasped.
“You can't walk.”
“I can!”
“Shut up.”
Avery took a warm shower and lied on her bed. She knew she wasn't going to sleep that night.
“How are you?” Damian, who came to check on her, frowned when he found her moaning from pain. “Ave?”
“It hurts a lot,” tears fell on her cheeks.
“Where?”
“Here,” Avery pointed between her thighs.“I can't sleep like this.”
“Can I take a look?” Damian asked quietly.
Avery showed him where it hurt and Damian gulped when he saw how red her clitoris and labia were.
“Asshole. Fucking asshole,” he muttered. “I will castrate him for sure.” he got up and looked for his wallet.
“Where are you going?”
“The pharmacy.”
Damian came back with ointments and pills.
“The creams should calm the pain, and the pills are for your headache.” he handed the bag to her.
Avery stared at him with surprise. Damian gave up on his sleep and didn't bother going out during cold midnight to buy her medicines.
“Thank you, Dam,” she smiled nervously.
“Here, some water.”
“I don't know what happened in my mind. I don't know why I trusted him,”
“We must make mistakes to build our personality,” Damian said as he helped her put on her warm pyjama.
“I gave him my body,” Avery sighed. “I let him see me and touch me everywhere.”
“He doesn't deserve you,” Damian said. “There is this quote I read before. Charlie Chaplin wrote it in a letter to his daughter.”
“What is it?”
“Your naked body should only belong to those who fell in love with your naked soul.”
“I love it,” Avery whispered.
“Imagine your body like a diamond. Do you know how rare and expensive they are?” Avery nodded.
“If you ever found a diamond, will you just give it to anyone?” Damian asked.
Avery shook her head. “I can only give it to someone who deserves such a precious thing.”
“Exactly. You shouldn't offer your diamond to just anyone,” Damian said. “Look what I'm saying,” he chuckled. “You gave it to me, and I'm saying this.”
Avery frowned. “You are not just anyone, Dam. If I had a diamond, I would never hesitate to give it to you.”
Damian looked at her in surprise and smiled.
“I don't regret offering my virginity to you. You didn't hurt me, and it was as I always imagined my first to be. Perfect.”
“Please stop talking to me this way,” Damian mumbled.
“Why? I know it's too cheesy and cringy.” Avery laughed.
No, it's killing me.
The next morning, Avery woke up to find an angel sleeping next to her.
Damian dropped his phone on the floor the second she finished the sentence. His heartbeats went insane inside his chest. After a long moment of proceeding and analyzing what Avery said, he cleared his throat and burst out laughing. “You almost got me with this!”“Dam&helli
“Someone's looking hot here!” Nate whistled when he spotted Avery approaching him.Scarlett doesn't like formalities, so she opened her white shirt, showing off her chest. She also messed up her dark hair to give it asexy look.
After Emma left the loft, Damian cleaned everything as he cursed Avery every time he got the occasion. When he finished, he sat in the living room to check his mails on his laptop. He decided to look for his things the day after because it was already late and cold outside. After a while, he heard Avery talking to someone. He sighed and headed to his room, but stopped in front of the door when he heard her giggling snd talking to someone sweetly through the phone.
After twenty minutes, Damian arrived in front of the club and spotted Avery lying her head on the wall, while Nate was tracing his fingers on her neck.He mumbled cursed and slammed his car door behind him.
Avery was arranging her big psychology books in her locker. The faculties were open even on Sundays during the exams period. She was humming the chorus of a song Damian started writing a year ago.She had to beg him for weeks to let her listen to it. Damian enjoyed being a DJ because people never recognise him on the radio, or in the dark. He wasn't comfortable about sharing his songs, especially the most personal one
