I exhaled deeply, threw my purse on the table and leaned back against the sofa.
Dammit. Damn it!
If I can't come home next month, I'll die horribly from hunger in this place. Not because of anything or why, it's just that the sudden lockdown from the government since one week ago has succeeded in making me move.

"What? If I can go home, I'll go home right now."
"Impossible."
I snorted. "I know."
"And don't try to find illegal routes just to get home. Love your own life."
I can't help grunting loudly. "Whether I stay or go home, I'm still going to die, Niel. You must understand that. And again, why do we have to stay at home just because of this obscure serial killer? We should run away, not stay at home like cattle ready to be killed at any time."
Daniel glanced at me. His blue eyes with blonde hair really showed that he was a stranger, even before he mentioned his name when he first encountered me. I assumed he was from London or the Americas, and my guess was right, he was from London.
Suddenly, Daniel brought his face closer to me, reflexively I kept my distance from him. His blue eyes stared at me sharply, for some reason his gaze was a little different from usual, this time his gaze was cold and tense.
I was just about to get up, when his hand pulled my hand until my body fell on the sofa. My eyes are bulging. Daniel is on top of me, the smile on his lips as wide as a grin.

I swallowed hard, especially when I felt his breath near my earlobe.
"Don't think about leaving here ... no, Alin. I won't let you, you can die if you dare to leave this place."
"Tch, get away from me, you idiot!" I pushed Daniel and succeeded, the man chuckled and sat next to me after I sat down. "After all, what exactly is lurking out there? You must know something, right?"

He's right. Daniel is indeed a policeman who works in the crime division. But strangely, he rarely entered the police station and more often into my house.
