  Morning came and darkness paved way letting the sun rays shine through. The blaring sound of horns could be heard and voices of children and teenager's could be seen selling the provisions they held out for sale. Those who had white collar jobs drove their flashy cars as they hurriedly tried to overcome the traffic and get to their place of work. It was as if the world was in a rumble. Edna woke up from a bad dream only to find herself in the same situation, She wished to be transformed into the good life she desired. The morning air was fresh and sun rays shone on her face with great intensity. She folded her cardboard and hid it behind, one of the squalid looking houses and went towards the direction of the road. She stood staring at the street as it revealed its form.   Breakfast at the Adeleke's was akara with brown paper, Mr Adeleke was still at his bedroom why Mrs Adeleke was in the kitchen with Bisola . The sitting room had three brown sofas and two red arm chairs forming a circle.The Tv was placed to the wall adjacent to the chair and was switched off. The morning air was dusty but peaceful as Femi came down the stairs .Mr Adeleke came out of his bedroom flexing out his muscles .He was a short stout man with a bald head .He wore a loose robe which protruded his big tummy.  Flashes of shining knives ,were pointed to her which was the end.she woke up with a scream and the drip connected to her body, pierced through her skin thereby causing a sharp pain which sent her screaming loudly as she woke up from a deep sleep. A nurse came to her ward to attend to her . "Calm down "the soothing voice of a nurse said. She turned to look at the decently dressed nurse, in her beautiful white gown. The ward she was in was like a large room, which were harboured  by other patients who were afflicted with different ailments. A young girl who was about her age was connected to a drip with a band on her head . Edna wasn't sure of were she was yet, but the smell of medicines and nurses around, brought her to the consciousness of her vicinity. She shook her head sideways and watched as other nurses, gave treatment to patients in the ward

   The explicit silence,that grew between the beautiful couple that morning was unexpressed on the look of Mrs coker face that morning as she came out down the stairs looking perturbed, but was self controlled. The house was quiet,as it was a cool Saturday morning and the chirping sound of the birds was heard. One might think, that the Coker's had a life that excluded, the troubles of this world from the outside but there was more to this as the strength, to keep a family closed from the disparity that filled the earth was found in the person of Mrs Coker. She had set off on her journey that morning to get Edna, as she had left her to enjoy the comfort of her family and also her grandmother had wanted to have a heart-to-heart discussion with her .She  would begin by going to the office first and getting some documents prepared as her boss at the office had requested for them.
