Emmanuel's POV "Nuel?" A voice called out to me whilst I was being shook into wakefulness. My eyelids slid open and my vision blurred, feeding clearer

Exams were drawing near and the halls and classrooms of Belleview were getting quieter, heads were bent over books while the unserious ones went about business as usual. "Guess what?!" Ella slid into the chair excitedly, almost bumping her elbow into my plate. 

Exams had started already and my guardians hadn't found another decent and trustworthy driver so we were back to our "normal". We arrived at school on our own sometimes, Aunty dropped us off, rode with Nuel on my way home and I saved a little money from doing this. I had no exams this afternoon and I was planning something big. I wanted to do this alone so I carried no one along. I was going to sneak out of school.&

The exams were over this afternoon and the school was turning into a ruckus. It was the last day of the exams and the ss3 students were having a signout today, prom tomorrow and their valedictory service a few days after. Loosened weaves, untucked shirts, uniforms without ties were the highlights of the afternoon with the junior students being the noisiest.
