TÓDÙN "Welcome to OASIS." A masculine voice echoed as I and Nife tried entering the car. I couldn't see his face but his hair was tinted gold and the car had a strong odour of the perfume he uses. Remilekun sat on the passengers seat beside him while I, Tamilore and Nife sat at the back. My phone rang as he drove the car and I wanted to pick it up but a glare from Tamilore made me think otherwise and I put the phone on silence. Driving carefully, the guy whose name I was yet to know parked his car at the front of the villa and we all walked to our room. "You have a very nice room, I am sure this is your Mum's handwork." He said as he walked round the room before taking his seat on the plastic chair that was placed by the window. Remilekun grumbled into her phone. She had been on that particular phone call since about thirty minutes ago. Sometimes she makes me wonder if she is an ambassador to one of the service providers. She talks for long hours and sometimes long into the night. The blaring of her ringing tone is not a strange thing to my ear again. I even find myself humming along to the sound before she picks it up sometimes or the ones she has decided not to pick. I grasped the broom tight when I remembered that the matriculation was in two days time and I had  nothing decent to wear. The money I had on me wasn't enough to buy a dress and I didn't want to disturb my Mum. My Mum had made sure she called me everyday and everytime, she updated me about her welfa

TODUN "Are you sure you brought that phone home from school, you didn't try changing it anywhere and maybe you forgot to unplug it?" The guy who I mentioned earlier happens to be my course mate, he seem to think we get along well because I decided to offer him a ride when he was running late for a lecture. "I know you are a guy o but guy beware of guys." Funsho had told me when he found out about the ride. I wasn't bothered by what he said because he would have said otherwise if it was a girl. He seem not to find girls as dangerous as guys. To him they are as calm as dove because he is able to manipulate them to the extent of dating three able bodied girls at once, without any of them suspecting it and when he breaks up with them they always come back begging.

TÓDÙN Hand in hand like school children, I and Funto retraced our steps back to the school gate and we chattered along side. Our topic was about  what Victor had said about Nife and my phone. We stopped intermittently as cars passed by and crowd of students walked hastily to their lecture rooms, almost pushing us off the road. "Todun." I heard Kunle's voice scream my name.
