CHAPTER 16.1

Phoebe's POV

"Phoebe,hey!,wake up!"I heard Kay's voice in my sleep,I groaned as I woke up

"What's the time"I asked

"After 6"mum said

"What!"I jerked up from the couch

"What's wrong"dad asked

"I'm going out tonight and I haven't dressed up"I said as I ran upstairs to my room, immediately I went in,I took a fast shower,and got dressed up, wearing the dress Clark bought for me,as I applied light make-up,Jax call came up

"Hey wifey"he greeted me

"Hey baby"I answered putting it on loudspeaker

"Your with him already?"he asked

"No,not yet, I'm dressing up"I said

"Okay,don't dress too high for him, I'd be jealous"he said 

"Okay, I'll just apply light make-up and um pack,a simple style, I'll about that?"I asked

"Have you applied the make-up?"he asked

"Yes"I answered

"You couldn't have, he'd say you're pretty"he said

"Am I not?"I asked smiling

"Yes baby,you are of course,but I want you to be pretty for me alone"he said, jax's so possessive

"Asshole"I joked,he laughed

"You're done with dressing?"he asked

"Yes baby, don't worry, I'll share pictures"I said as I carried my bag

"Just you alone"he said

"Okay,call me right back"I said

"Ok babe,I love you"he said

"I love you too"I said and hung up,then walked downstairs

"Going out with JB?"dad asked

"No,a friend of mine"I said,then received Clark's call

"I'm around Phoebe"he said

"Okay, I'll be right outside"I said and hung up

"Dad,I haven't forgotten,our discussion,when I get back, we'll talk"I said

"Okay dear"he said

"Bye"I said and walked out, meeting clark standing of his car

"Wow,you're look taking away"he said smiling

"Thanks Clark"I said smiling

"You're looking good too"I commented

"Yeah thanks"he said as he opened the door for me to walk in,I gently walked in

"Thanks"I said as he walked in too and drove off,Jax call came up,I received it

"Hey baby"he greeted

"Why did you call again,we just talked some while ago"I said smiling

"Am monitoring you"he said

"Okay sir"I smiled

"Are you with him now"he asked

"Yes, we're on our way now"I said,he hissed

"Okay,don't let him touch you,not even your hair, not allowed,I prohibit it,you understand me?"he asked

"Yes sir"I laughed

"Better"he said

"So what's now"I asked

"I'm really bored in here"he said

"What you doing"I asked

"Nothing,just on my bed, talking with my wifey"I smiled

"If your bored,maybe you should pick up,your history, textbook and read"I said knowing he would hate the idea

"Jeez,can't believe your saying this,your making me feel more bored"he groaned

"That's all I got in mind baby for now,sorry baby"I said

"I wish you were here with me,darn!"he said

"And not with that guy"he said

"Jax, you're too insultive,I promise you,if you utter any insult again, I'd hang up on you"I said

"I'm sorry"he apologized

"Better"I said

"I think your boo is feeling sleepy now"he yawned

"Oh okay,later then"I said

"Yeah,I love you"he said

"I love you too"I said and hung up

"You're lucky"Clark said

"Why?"I asked 

"He cares a lot about you"he said,I smiled 

"And I guess,he's not happy you're with me tonight"he said

"Clark"I cautioned

"Yeah,if I was the one, I'd do same thing,i wouldn't allow her to go out with someone else,when I'm here,but I guess Jax is lenient and cool enough for him to allow you go out with me"he said

"Hm yeah"I said,then he drove faster,we reached our destination as fast as we could

"Wow"I said as we got down, seeing a very beautiful water fall outside the building as we enter

"It's beautiful right"he asked

"Yes"I smiled

"Yeah,take a pic of me"I said as I handed over my phone to him, telling him to take pictures of me as I stood at the front of the water fall,when we were done we walked into the building.downstairs was the restaurant section,we had our seat, sitting opposite each other,the waitress came serving us what we ordered for

"You're pretty"he said as we ate

"Thanks"I smiled remembering Jax had already foreshadowed him saying that,I took selfies when I noticed he stopped talking,as soon as I was done taking selfies,I telegramed them to Jax,he chatted me up

**Fuck,darn it, Phoebe,I hope Clark is not lusting after you there cause you're unresisttable,so fucking gorgeous**he typed in putting a drooling emoji,I laughed silently

**No,he's not,we cool here**I replied

**Better**he replied back

**Thought you were feeling sleepy**I asked

**I actually was,but I couldn't when I know for the fact that you're out with another guy I don't really like**he said

**It's not that bad**I replied smiling,then looked at Clark,jeez,I can't believe I left him hanging

"I'm so sorry for keeping you hanging"I apologized as I texted back to Jax to text me later

"It's fine,you look so happy chatting with Jax"he said almost not smiling

"How'd you know"I asked

"Why wouldn't I know,when he's so bothered you're with me, he'd like to check up on you,if you're okay"he said

"Oh"I said

"So tell me what's your favorite kind of girl"I asked as I sipped my drink

"Um, short, pretty,smart,less troublesome, caring, natural,just the way she is,I think that's better"he smiled

"Wow,that's great, nice choice"I clapped once and smiled

"You know Phoebe,you're not a mistake in my life, I'm grateful I found Someone like you"he said smiling

"Why"I asked

"Cause falling in love with you made me stop some certain things,I hoped I wouldn't stopped,of course,I know you wouldn't be able to love me and I wouldn't be able to date you but I'm grateful enough cause I'm still able to talk to you and be around you"he smiled looking at me

"What kind of things"I asked

"I really would love you not to know"he said smiling

"Okay then"I said smiling too

"Come,let me take you around"he said as he stood up,held my hands and made me stood up too,then we walked around

"Wow,this is great"I exclaimed

"Yunno,I go out alot and this is one of the place I find fascinating,that's why I brought you here"he said smiling

"Thanks"I told him

"Let's see what we can buy you here"he said as we both entered a boutique,jeez,this was amazing

"This one will fit you,I guess"he said picking a dress,I loved it,he kept picking clothes and shoes, they were getting too much and I was starting not to like it

"Clark,I think it's enough,it's more than enough"I said smiling so it wouldn't sound rude

"You're sure"he asked

"Yeah"I said

"Okay,let's go pay"he said as we moved to the counter.

We head for outside as he was done paying,we entered inside his car as he zoomed off.till we got home,we didn't utter any word to each other

"Thanks for tonight,Clark"I thanked him

"Yeah, you're welcome,have a nice night"he smiled

"You too bye"I said and got down from the car

"Bye",he said and drove off

"Dad,you haven't slept'i said as I entered, sitting beside him, dropping all what I brought on the floor

"I was waiting for you"he said

"Aww dad, okay,you said you wanted to talk to me about something, I'm here now"he smiled

"Phoebe,have you ever wondered how you got asthma?"he asked,the question got me confused

"Um,no"I answered

"That night,when that house exploded,I,your mum and Kay were outside, leaving you inside in your critical sick condition"he said

"Uh,what"I was surprised

"Yes,we were all weeping and yelling, until Kay went in the house and brought you out,I carried you like baby Jesus"he half smiled,it was looking familiar to jax's nightmare,I was getting emotional

"We were all scared that night,as we drove you to the hospital,the car stopped,we got down with you and then the rain heavily started,you were almost dying,you got choked up with smoke in the house and now in the rain,we thought you wouldn't make it,no hope"he narrated gently,tears flowed freely

"We spent hours there,till I was able to fix the car,then we got to the hospital.Days later,you were diagnosed with ASTHMA,at your tender age,it was too much to take in"tears flowed from Dad's eyes,it was horrible,when he started the story,it was familiar to jax's nightmare,so I had to ask

"Wasn't there anybody to help?when the house got burned down?"I asked

"Phoebe,what I'm gonna tell you now, you're the first person I'm telling,even your mum and Kay don't know,hm,there was someone to help,if only he had help"dad said

"Who?"I asked

"At that time,when the house was burning down, roderigo could have helped,but he couldn't.that night,he was in the car with Jax Bowen"dad said,on hearing jax's name,I widened my eyes, I didn't understand something

"Roderigo??Jax Bowen??"I had to ask

"Yes, roderigo was the bodyguard to Jax Bowen and Gideon bowen,"dad said, uncontrollably tears flowed through. Jax's nightmare was my own reality accident,he was there when it all happened

"Who is Gideon bowen"I asked 

"That's jax's dad,he sent roderigo to bomb down the house"he said,i was shocked!

"What?"I exclaimed,no wonder he was asking questions that day,so he's the reason I'm in all this mess!,only God knows what dad will do if he finds out, I'm dating Jax bown and not Justin Bieber,the son of the man who caused this catastrophe

"Why?"I asked

"Years back,I and Gideon were business partners,when it comes to money, contract and business, Gideon is usually a devil,I was given a contract in which Gideon helped me with,I won it band we already made a deal,to share the money equally, I did as I promised but jealousy and greed wanted him to have it all to himself, that's why he did what he did. Roderigo was the one who helped us out, telling us Gideon was the master planner,we went as far as we could,now we here, forgetting all that ever happened"dad said, cleaning away his tears and cleaned mine as well. 

"You should stop crying dear,just told you this to let you know, whatever we do for you,we do it for the best for your health,don't take it for granted"dad consoled me,that wasn't the reason I was crying,it was because of Jax, he's been suffering from the nightmare for years, unable to sleep,not knowing it was me in it,it was my own accident which his dad caused was his nightmare, I'm sure he isn't aware of it

"Dad, I think you should go sleep, I'll be fine"I said finding it difficult to stop crying

"You're sure?"he asked

"Yes Dad"I said,then he stood up and walked upstairs to his room,I was even afraid of letting dad know,Jax is my boyfriend,he would do something crazy,I pited Jax so much,I can't tell him either,that his nightmare is about me, I'd have to reveal things to him,Jax call came up

"Hey baby, I'm sure you're back now"he asked

"Jax"I said in my crying voice,I tried adjusting my voice

"Phoebe?,what's wrong?"he asked,I didn't answer

"Phoebe answer me"he said,I kept sobbing

"Did he touch you?"he asked,I didn't reply

"Would you fucking answer me!did he touch you?!did Clark touch you"I could feel anger in his voice

"Fuck! Phoebe, please answer me, I'm begging you"he lowered his voice this time

"Jax"my voice broke,he would run mad,if I tell him I'm ASTHMATIC and his dad is the cause

"Yes baby,talk to me"he pleaded,I didn't say anything

"I'm coming right there, just stay outside'he said and hung up,his dad was so heartless.its a good thing Jax didn't take over him.i gently pulled off my heels,wore my palm and walked outside, sitting on the bench, waiting for Jax,I wasn't believing he would come,cause it was late already,I didn't stop crying,not up to 30mins,Jax showed up,I stood up as he hurriedly got down from the car,ran up to me and hugged me.

I cried on his shoulders,I really had pity on him,if only he knew the reason I was crying,he pulled away cleaning my tears

"Babe, please stop crying and tell me what's wrong"he pleaded looking down at me,I shoked 'nothing"

"Open up to me babe,I love you,tell me what's wrong,he touched you,he hurt you?,he hit you?"he asked

"No"I manage to answer

"Then what!you're making me scared babe"he confessed concernly

",Jax,I love you,I really do"I said looking up at him

"Fuck Phoebe,why are you saying this in this manner,I love you too,I love you more,you're freaking me out now"he said,I was bothered,words can't explain how I was feeling,i wish to tell him everything from the beginning to the end but things were gonna get worst.I moved closer, leaning on him and kissed him deeply,I wish this could explain everything that was going on.he took it easy with me knowing the kind of mood I was in,he kissed me so gently,yes,that was what I wanted, forgetting the pains.i wanna wake up the next morning and not able to remember all what dad said,but I knew it,it wasn't possible,but at that moment,Jax kisses and touches could do the healing.

Jax was so perseverance,he had endured 15 years of his life with this horrible nightmare that had happened to me,which obviously wouldn't stop showing up,he tried right? And still didn't stop expressing his love for me, pretending nothing happens.

He pulled away, cleaning my tears

"Is that what you wanted?"he asked not smiling,I nodded

"You sure nothing's wrong? because you look so hurt and pained"he told me

"I'm fine babe"I told him

"I don't know, I'm not sure"I said,the truth they say is bitter,it was real fact.

"If you don't know, I'd say whatever is bothering you,take it away from your mind okay,be at rest, smile and always stay happy"he half smiled and hugged me

"Cause your my sunshine and smile, your the only reason why I'm able to give that smile.your happiness Phoebe,so please be fine,okay,I love you"he said,then pulled away

"I love you too babe"my voice broke

"You want me to leave now?"he asked

"Yeah, I've stressed you"I said

"No you haven't,but since you want me to leave,I will"he smiled

"Okay bye"I said

"Bye love"he said as he entered his car and drove off, immediately I entered inside, carry the packs to my room, changed into my pijimas,laid on my bed and sobbed myself to sleep.
