CHAPTER 25

Phoebe's POV

I was the only one left at the hospital with Jax.i refused to go home,I couldn't afford to.

     Still sitting alone in the lobby,dad,Kay and Zayn came up

"Phoebe"Kay called on me,I quickly adjusted my mood

"You didn't sleep?"dad asked

"Of course I did"I lied,I didn't say anything

"You'd be fine, he'd be fine"Zayn said as he patted me on my hair.

"We bought you food tho"Kay said as he placed it on the bench for me to eat

"I don't think I'm hungry"I said as I sat down

"I'll try later"I added.they agreed.

"As the doctor come around?"Zayn asked

"Not yet"I answered

"How's jax's mum"I asked

"She's okay but really depressed and worried about the whole situation.she is at home with Jade"Zayn said

"Lucy"I asked

"No idea"Zayn hissed,then the doctor walked in,I stood up.

"He's in a dead line"he blurted.

"Oh God"I said with disbelief,I felt my cheeks go wet

"What's wrong"Kay asked

"He's in a very critical condition and he needs a liver transplant"he said

"A liver transplant?"I repeated

"He needs it before today ends,it's serious damaged and we're traveling him out for the surgery,if only we get one quickly"he explained briefly.zayn guarded me with his arms from behind stopping me from shivering.

"Which country"dad asked

"Korea"he answered

"Who's gonna do the transplant"the doctor asked

"I will"a voice answered from behind,we all turned around to see lucy.Her eyes were already swollen and red.she cried.thought she never cared about Jax.

"I'm sure you know what you're getting into"he asked,one can't survive without a liver so obviously she was gonna die

"Yeah, losing my life for my twin brother.i don't need to think twice.maybe this is another way of saying I'm sorry"her voice broke

"Hm great,you'd go with us this night"he said,she nodded in agreement

"Can I see him?"I requested

"Yes"he answered,I nodded and then he left.

As I was about to make a move,Lucy held me

"I'm sorry about everything Phoebe, I'm sorry for trying to kill you (yes she tried to kill Phoebe,she Gased the class while Phoebe was alone in the class,I didn't include that part in the last chapter) I'm sorry for the hatred and sorts of"she said as she sobbed.i'm glad she realized her mistakes.

"Tell my mum I'm sorry as well, for all the pains I've caused her"she added.

"I feel Jax is more needed around than I am that's why I'm doing this"she said,then I walked forward and hugged her and pulled away

"Everybody doesn't feel the same way you do,it's all about making choices.i don't know how you feel but I think you made the right good choice"I said and walked away to has private ward.i didn't like the condition I met him,I sat down opposite him.

"Hey babe"I greeted trying to smile but I couldn't.

"I don't even know what to say"I said

"You know really,I didn't wish for any of this to happen,it shouldn't have been you Jax"I sobbed

"Jax"I called to him

"You're leaving tonight and I have no idea when next I'm gonna see you.this month,next month?this year?next year? absolutely no idea"I told him even if he wasn't listening

"I really have no idea how much I'd be able to cope,God, I'd really miss you so much"I cried out loud

"I pray the surgery's gonna be successful and I'd be happy to see you again".

"I love you Jax,I really really really love you, I'm crazily in love with you,and I can't help but think you'd be away for some while,it's gonna be a lot to take in but I'm sure you'd be fine, I'd be fine, we'll be fine"I said and pecked me on the hand.

"Where's dad"I asked as I walked out from jax's ward after spending hours with him talking as if he was listening.

"He went to the sheriff for the case of jax's dad and um"Kay answered but stopped talking

"And who"I asked

"Clark"Zayn answered

"Clark?what does clark have to do with all this"I asked

"He does"Kay said

"What?"I said with surprised.clark??I mean,how??how possible

"Zayn is that true?"I asked frowning,he nodded yes.i was definitely gonna see him,cause I need explanations.i walked away,Zayn called my name as I walked,I didn't answer.

As soon as I got to the sheriff,I ran inside meeting everyone get busy with their business.

"Hm,excuse me please, I'm looking for Clark,Clark Johnson, I need to see him"I said causing distraction

"Excuse me ma'am, you're causing nuisance,keep calm"A man said coming out from another department

"I need to see Clark Johnson"I said with tears as my voice broke,he held me in my arms about to drag me out

"Dwayne,let her be, she's my daughter"it was dad.then he left me then walked away.i walked to dad

"Dad,I need to see Clark"I told him

"Hm okay"he said,I can't believe he's here.we walked through the stairs to another department and walked in

"She's here to see Clark Johnson"dad said to someone that was unfamiliar to me.

"Okay"he said,then he called up to someone

"Bring in Clark Johnson to the visiting room"he said on the phone,then dropped it

"You can go, he'll be there now"he said

"Okay"dad said and we walked out.he led me to the visiting hall

"Dad I think I wanna talk to him alone"I said standing at the front of the hall

"It's okay"he said then I walked in to see Clark,God,I didn't expect this.i composed myself

"Pho"I didn't even let him finish

"I just need a yes or no Clark"I said looking at him,he was nothing to talk about,he looked so beaten,God,I felt so bad for him,I didn't want this for him.i was pained he did this.

"Yes"he said

"Why Clark,why?"I said trying to cry out loud

"Phoebe"he called to me

"Just shut up!"I yelled

"Phoebe trust me"he said as he ran his hands through his hair

"I did trust you!I trusted you Clark,even if Jax didn't like you,even if none of my friends didnt like you.i never cared if they did or not,I still trusted you and I didn't stop talking to you,so why Clark,why did you do this!"I yelled as I sobbed

"I'm so sorry Phoebe"he apologized

"How did it happen,I want to know how long you've been doing this,I wanna know how you got to know jax's dad, I wanna know everything"I said

"What I do is planting explosive  or gas,but I did stop all those,I stopped since after I met you,I really did changed  and promised not to even go back doing that until I met Gideon,he bought this offer to me,I declined it at first but nigga kept pestering me and kept troubling me,I was so confused and depressed and accepted but I had no idea he wanted me to plant the gas for you"I cut in

"Wether it's for me or someone else,you still shouldn't have accepted the offer.do you have any idea how many people could have died if the gas has been released?"I rhetorically asked.

"I'm so sorry phoebe.i'm sorry.i didn't even know Gideon was jax's dad and when I did find out,it was late.please forgive me"he pleaded.i think I understood him.

"I don't know.i don't know how I'm gonna be judged.i'm just really sorry about everything and everyone and hurt so much, please don't think of me as a bad person"he said,I disagreed

"No,you're not Clark,you're not.youre just a victim of circumstances"I didn't finish what I was saying when the guard came up

"Your time is over ma'am"he said

"Bye Phoebe"he said as I stood up

"Bye Clark"I said as they took him away.

I got up and walked out of the visiting hall.dad wasn't there.As I walked i didn't know when I stopped walking,sat on the stairs,buried my head on my knees and cried.

I don't like what happened to clark.it wasn't his fault.why do I get to lose good and important people to me.lucy wasn't good but she got to realize her mistake and apologize although at the late hour.Clark wasn't good but he changed but a little mistake pulled him down and my Jax.,he was too good enough for me and way too important to me but he dad a bad dad who brought nothing but destruction and problems.

As I was still crying.i felt a touch around my arms.it was musculine.he gently pulled me up and turned me around,only for me to see an unfamiliar face.immediately he set his eyes on me,he changed expression.

"Hey, I'm mark"he introduced,his hands where still on my arms.he was tall,handsome and he was black,not really black tho but I guess chocolate.

"Stop touching me please"my voice broke,he didn't recoil.

"Hm,you don't look okay"he said then dad came up

"Excuse me, she's my daughter"dad said

"Oh"he said and quickly recoiled.

"Let's go Phoebe"dad said

"You guys talked?"dad asked as we entered his car

"Yes"I answered cleaning away my tears

"I'm taking you home"he said as he drove home.

As soon as I got home I received a call from Samuel, telling me Jax has travelled around along with Lucy.

"What?, thought the doctor said in the night"I said,It was just 2pm.

"The schedule was changed"he said as covered my mouth and cried,so he wouldn't hear me

"Phoebe"he called to me

"I'm fine"I said as I sobbed gently

"Does his mum know?"I asked

"Yeah,Zayn already told her"he answered.i didn't get the chance to see him one more time before he left for Korea

"Is Jade still with her?I asked

"She just left'i answered

"Okay bye"I told him

"Bye, please take care of yourself"he said and hung up.

"Ja-x"my voice broke as I buried my face.a part of me was gone, totally gone,I felt so numb.i wanted Jax back.

"Oh God"I cried so much,I didn't know when I fell asleep.

Later In Night,I woke up with aches in my eyes.i got up from my bed to my wardrobe, packing some of my clothes to my portable backpack with some of my school stuffs.as soon as I was done,I picked up my car keys and walked downstairs meeting dad,mum and Kay

"Phoebe,where are you going to?"mum asked as she stood up to me

"Jax's house,I need to be with his mum for the main time,she needs company"I told them

"I think that's a good choice"dad agreed,I nodded

"I'll transfer some money to you"dad said

"Okay,I think I'll leave now"I said as I hugged them and walked out.i entered my car and drove off as memories of I and Jax began to show itself.
