We’re a Singapore company and we value legitimacy, because we consider legitimacy the foundation of gaining trust and building a healthy relationship with our authors. As a new platform, we have gained many loyal readers and authors who place their trust in us. Currently, we have thousands of authors and the number is still growing fast. In fact, many authors turn to us because we value the rights of authors, and provide greater benefits for authors. I mean, you can’t just claim a platform illegal just because it’s new and it offers better deals than many other platforms;)
I know that it’s hard to trust someone and some company over the Internet, so our every contract is signed in a very formal way. We send and sign our contracts through HelloSign system, a commonly used e-signature system. All contracts will be reviewed by our lawyer after signing, and then reviewed by a third-party lawyer monthly. This is to make sure that all contracts have legal effect, so that both our rights and authors’ rights will be protected.

#I heard some bad rumors about you.
eg. authors don't get paid even if they should have earned.
eg. that I will have to translate my Indonesian books to English if I sign the contract.
eg. You ask authors to pay money to you if their books are not popular and make little money.
First of all, PLEASE keep in mind that the information you heard about might be WRONG if there's no solid proof. Please be aware that it is a CRIME to spread false rumors against someone or some company without solid proof and you'll be legally responsible. If we find out that you're spreading untruthful information against us, we will sue you. Also, Please don't come to us, especially our editors with a preset suspect. It's extremely impolite and offensive if you go straight to a person without any proof and question him/her "I think you're a liar".
Now let's get to these specific questions.
1.do we pay our authors?
Just go to any of our social media platform, FB, discrod, IG and ask a random contracted author who has earned on our platform. If someone who claims to be our author and has earned but never get paid, please ask his/her book name and penname, and contact any of our editor, we can help you find out if his/her words are true or false.
In fact, there were a few who claim they were like that, but the truth was that one of them didn't update their book so there was no earning in the first place, and the others just refuse to tell us their book name or penname. Well, if they're telling the truth why do they refuse to tell us the book name? I wonder.
2. I will have to translate my Indonesian books to English if I sign the contract.
What? Why? Are we a translation platform? I don't get it. Why would we ask authors to translate their books? This is such a weird question to ask.
3.You ask authors to pay money to you if their books are not popular and make little money.
Haha, so that's our way of profitting? Interesting.
The only condition where authors need to pay us is when authors violate the contract and if it's the share you earned is under $200, you just need to pay back to amount we paid to you. e.g. the book is stolen. Hey, shouldn't we ask authors to pay our money back if the book is not even his/hers? Or, if you want to end the contract when it's not time to end it yet. This makes perfect sense too. We used our resources and funds to promoted your book and even put your book to ads, and once you gained readers you just go away with your book to other platforms, shouldn't we get back what we paid?
There're many more different rumors about us out there, many are made up by "spy" or people who work for other platforms. Please think twice when you hear the rumors. Thank you.

#What are the things I need to do after I sign a contract?Make sure you read our Author's Guidebook first.Here are 3 things you might want to check after you sign the contract with GoodNovel:1. Fill in your payment info so that we'll be able to pay you. Go to your personal page using a DESKTOP and you'll find it. (You can't fill in payment info on your phone)2. Usually, after you have 15 chapters, you can apply for premium. Please contact your editor about setting the premium chapters(paid chapters) for your book.Most of our books open premium somewhere between the 5th -15 th chapter, and where there's a cliffhanger. Payment MethodWe can pay you by PayPal, bank transfer, and Payoneer. Paypal is most recommended because you will receive payment soon after we send it out. Author's Guidebook Before Signing the Contract
# How do I apply for contract?When uploading a book on our platform, you will need to register an account on our website first and then start uploading your book chapter by chapter. When you create a new book, the synopsis and book cover needs to be reviewed to make sure there's no infringement or anything inappropriate. The reviewing process normally takes a few working days. When we finish reviewing it, your book can be published and will be qualified to applying for contract.After you upload more than 15,000 words, you need to click the “Apply for contract” button which is on your personal page (Click your avatar) to submit your application. Author's Guidebook Exclusive And Non-Exclusive Contracts
Being a signed author of GoodNovel might be a milestone in your writing career. We offer two different contract types:1. Exclusive contract2. Non-exclusive contractEXCLUSIVE contract means that your novel can only be published on GoodNovel within the designated time. If the novel has been published on other platforms, you should remove it within a 30-day time limit. It's okay to put about 5 chapters on other platforms to tell the readers to read your story on GoodNovel.
