CHAPTER SIXTEEN

Two and a half hours later the plane landed in Australia. I wasn’t going to waste any time.

I immediately called Timothy for help. A while later he sent Tara’s home address and the location of where she kept the spare key.

Twenty minutes later on, I arrived at Tara’s apartment. I quickly unlocked the door and entered the house, but it was oddly silent.

‘’Tara!’’ I called on top of my lungs, but there was no response.

''Tara am sorry for hurting your feelings I know am the last person you want to see right now, but am just asking for one last chance to set things right between us.''

I know I messed up big time I ruined the special moment for us and I feel dumb right now. You can call me names if you want to punch me, as many times as wish I'll take it because I deeply care about you.

And most importantly, because Tara Watson is madly in love with you.

''Tara'' I call heading upstairs. I gently open her bedroom door surprisingly no one was in the room.

My attention immediately drifted to the white piece of paper neatly folded in the center of the bed. I walked closer and picked up the paper my heart was wildly thumping in my chest.

‘’You left for Italy!’’ I shout angrily.

‘’Fuck this is just great!’’ I cuss loudly.

I scrambled the paper into a ball and toss it away rushing down the stairs. I glanced at my wristwatch anxiously.

''There must be a bit of time left'' I muttered breathlessly.

It wasn't long before I slammed my car door and drove to the airport. I googled all the flights that were leaving for Italy and only two appeared they were leaving in forty minutes.

I dialed Tara’s phone number and it went straight to voice mail.

‘’Shit!’’ I cuss.

The road had been in traffic tonight just great I mutter caustically.

Every minute was too precious to waste Tara was just a few miles away.

TARA POV

The pickup truck tolled the taxi at the airport.

‘’Thanks so much, Andy, if it weren't for you I would have certainly missed my flight'' I say softly and the driver flashes me a shy smile.

''It's alright MS. Watson has a safe flight'' he says coolly.

I smile and nod.

The truck drives off and I wave goodbye.

I drag my silver suitcase and make my way to the entrance of the airport.

‘’I thought I could find love, but it was miles away.’’ I thought I could conquer the world with you always by my side.

I sigh sadly.

‘’I thought we were meant to be together… am still missing the comfort of your arms.’’ I wish this pain would just go away.

A tear rolls down my cheek and I wipe it away.
