It's time - Imagine Dargons

I stared at him as he sat alone at the bleachers, watching our class football team. That has always been his wish, to join the team. But he was scared of being laughed at. I remember my first day at school, he was surrounded by some seniors at the elementary department. I got angry because they kept on yelling words that I knew would affect him. Gay, ugly, skinny. I walked up to them and challenged them. They laughed at me and pushed me down next to him. From then we became best friends.

"Are you still mad at me?" I asked him as I sat beside him. He looked away from the team, particularly from Alex and I shook my head. It was a secret he never knew I knew. He loved Alex. I found out when I crashed at his room on a night. I read his diary. The only huge problem was his mother didn't know of his sexuality and I was scared of what she would do to him if she found out.

"Can you leave. I'm watching something interesting," he said not looking at me but back at Alex.

"Oh c'mon Roy don't do this to me." I begged but he ignored me. I frowned at the sudden silence treatment he was giving me and nudged him by the shoulder. He shrugged me off and kept on staring at Alex. I sighed in defeat and stared at the football team too. Alex was good looking I wouldn't lie. He was tall and had the typical Scottish look and vibe. He had short trimmed black hair and was totally freckled on the face.

"I'm sorry." I finally apologized and I turned to see a lopsided grin on his face.

"That wasn't so hard for you to say was it?" he asked and I rolled my eyes. "Apology accepted. You quit the job?" he asked and I pursed my lips and looked down.

"No I didn't," I muttered. "You gotta understand me Roy I need this. Jack and I barely eat these days. I haven't renewed Jack's meds and nurse Kiki moved away. So many fucking responsibilities." I told him with my jaw clenched. If I hadn't controlled the fire that evening, this wouldn't have happened. If I hadn't killed mom. If I hadn't asked those questions. If I hadn't burned mom.

"It's fine. I get it. Just be careful Po. I don't want you to hurt those people or get into trouble," he said with worried eyes. and I nodded and linked his pinky with mine.

"I promise to avoid trouble. I promise never to burn anyone unless the fucker deserves it." I said and we both laughed. It was so good to have Roy back.

"Looks like freakozoid over there can't get his eyes off you." Leroy teased and I followed his stare to see Finneas, sitting on the other side of the bleachers, his eyes on me intensly.

"Holy shit. Why does he keep staring at me like that?" I asked not breaking eye contact with him. He grinned at me and waved. I waved back lightly and turned back to Leroy.

"He prolly likes you," he shrugged.

"I don't think so. Not with the ugly mark on my face and two colored eyes." I reminded him and he rolled his eyes.

"You're beautiful Po. You don't just see. Forget those jerks that cringes at your sight. They aren't worthy of you. There's Finneas. A very handsome, handsome! And hot fellow that likes you. That's enough proof," he said and I smiled and pushed my hair back. The closing bell rang and I stood up with Leroy.

"Meet me outside. I'll be waiting," he said and I left to the ladies locker room to change back to my clothes. I stared at the girls as they admired their faces on the wall mirror. I looked away and changed back to my clothes, folding my PEs into my backpack.

I got out of the school and met Leroy standing next to Elise' sleek black mustang gt convertible. I smiled at him and we made our way to my house.

"Isn't that freakozoid." Leroy pointed and I followed his finger to see him arguing with a blonde haired woman who looked equally angry. I squinted my eyes and noticed the man in the driver's seat of the pickup truck they stood near was smoking. He had sunglasses on with a black leather jacket. He had a dark vibe and I shivered as he turned his head to look directly at me.

"C'mon Roy let's leave. That's none of our business." I pulled him and we walked home. The scene was glued to my mind. Who was she? She looked like she was older with a few years. Why did he look so angry?

"Aren't you a bit curious?" He asked and I rolled my eyes.

"I don't care Roy." I lied, the words bitter at the tip of my tongue. My mind went somewhere else. Was I going to be paired in a match? Was I strong enough?

We got home. Leroy and I did our homeworks. By the time we finished, it was late. Leroy prepared dinner for Jack as I dressed up. I wore a black denim jean and a tight black tank top. I put my hair into a set of two French braids and paired my look with a pair of high combat boots. I grabbed my winter coat and left my room. Jack was watching the local news as Leroy fed him haggis. My stomach did a flip at the sight but I ignored it. I had to focus on the important job ahead.

"I'm leaving." I announced and gave Leroy the spare key to the house.

"Take care of him." I told Leroy staring at Jack. He had his eyes glued to the TV. I leaned down to him hugged him. These days, I finally understood what mom meant by giving love to Jack. He had been quiet lately. Sometimes I would wake up at midnight to him crying out mom's name. I killed the only person that stayed with him throughout his autistic days.

"Be careful Po. Don't forget you're the only person Jack has," he warned, ruffling Jack's hair that had little specs of gray in it.

"I will." I rolled my eyes and buttoned up my coat.

"Kick their asses," he said and I laughed.

"You bet I will." I retorted.

Ouija, a fistful of Vinyl - Harley PoeTick tock, tick tock, tick tock, tick tock, tick tock.I stared at my old wall clock as I sat on my old bed. Nothing had changed except the room felt smaller. Not because it was bigger than my room at Jack and I's rented apartment, but because I had noticed that things had changed the moment I got sent out of the mansion. I wasn't the old Po anymore who relied on hiding my powers from the world and keeping shut when I was insulted. I was the new Po that killed innocent and non innocent people to save the people that were close to me."We'll be going out now," I flinched when I heard Aunt Rory's voice and I glared at the smug smile she had on her face as she peeked into my room. "Behave yourself till we get back Aye? Your new parents will be arriving with us." She shut the door and I sighed in tiredness. I heard noises outside a

Moral of the story - Ashe ft Niall Horan10 years ago"Patricia," mommy called me and I looked up from my homework and stared at her as she kept the neat plates into the rank. "Go find out what your father is doing." She ordered and I nodded and jumped down from the high chair before leaving the kitchen to find Jack. I dreaded going to his room. He was so mean to me."Jack?" I nodded on the door of the room and heard no reply from him. I didn't want to be rude and open his door without any permission so I leaned my ear against the door so I could hear what was going on inside. I heard his voice finally, but he sounded like he was crying. My eyebrows furrowed in worry so I opened the door and g

Raging fire - Philip Philips "Edana," a voice whispered and I opened my eyes slowly to face Jada. She had a big smile on her face and I stood up straight and wiped the invisible drool of the side of my lips. I raised an eyebrow at her and her smile seemed to increase. "Daddy is back." She said and my eyes widened in shock."Shit." I muttered when I heard the roaring of an engine go off. I reached for the handle of her wheelchair, and wheeled her into her kitchen after turning of the light in the living room which her father must have never failed to notice. I set the mini laptop I had in my coat pocket on the counter in the middle of the kitchen, and turned off the light. I motioned for her not to make any noise with my index finger across my lips and waited for him to show his face.

  • BURN(A Roswell New Mexico Fanfiction)   That's What's Fucking Fair

If I killed someone for you - Alec BenjaminThe day had gone to rest and the night took over, enveloping me with its darkness. I liked the night, it hid my ugliness, the scar on my flesh, and the sad and depressed expression on my face. My boots were the only sounds I heard as I walked cautiously on the lane, making my way to the black car that waited for me in the front. I got closer to the passenger door of the car and looked skyward at the canopy of luminous stars that designed the black canvas of the night. It had no moon.I opened the door and got in, slamming the door hard to control myself from scratching the smug look on his face and burning his ear with the cigarette in between his fingers."Took you long enough," his deep voice filled the silence and I rolled my eyes and unbuttoned the tight dark gray coat I wore."Jack needed me." I crypted and ignored the warning glare

  • BURN(A Roswell New Mexico Fanfiction)   That Intoxicating Taste Of Finneas

Lash out - Alice Merton"Finn, they're staring." I whispered to him as we stood in the middle of a big bar called REGALS. It looked sleek, almost formal but at the same time old fashioned. I stared at the fancy drinks arranged behind the lanky blonde haired bartender who Finneas was negotiating something I knew nothing of. I needed to leave immediately. This wasn't the 'bunking' I expected. Old men that sat on the big sofas with brown tables filling up the spaces all stared at me. I guess they didn't expect two teenagers with their backpacks hung on their backs to be in a dangerous place like this."You owe me one Finn. You're lucky my boss isn't in town," the blonde haired punched Finneas on his shoulder and he gave off a laugh, one I knew very much to be fake. He handed Finneas a bottle of alcohol and I narrowed my eyes at the drink. What was he up to?"Thanks Cal. C'mon Po," he tugged my hand t

  • BURN(A Roswell New Mexico Fanfiction)   Leroy Wouldn't Hurt Me This Way

Let's hurt tonight - One RepublicSad, sounds childish, like something flimsy, something one should be able to cast off with a happy reflection or with at least a smile. It sits inside like the seed of depression, just waiting for the right condition to grow, to send out roots to choke the hope of your heart.Sadness and internal pain was what I felt when Leroy passed me by this morning, not even sparing me a glance. I had woken up early so I could get to school and be the first and maybe only person to wish him a happy return. Just as I stood in front of the gate, I plastered a grin on my face the moment I saw his mom's beetle pull up in front of the school. He got out with gray loose hoodie and black jeans on. He never wore dark colored clothes and that drew my attention. His expression was emotionless and dull."Leroy!" I jumped, "welcome back." I smiled at him. He walked past
