CHAPTER 4 | CHARLOTTE.

I woke up in an unfamiliar room and there’s someone that I didn’t know sitting down on a chair beside the beside.

When I was about to sit up, he instantly to stop me from doing it. He’s also writing something on his notebook and he held my forehead.

“What do you feel?” He asked.

“I’m fine, it’s just that, I feel some pain on my body.” I answered.

“Where did you get those wounds on your body?” He asked me again.

“Daddy kicked me repeatedly and mommy pushed me hard towards the wall.” I answered him.

“Did you remember something?” He asked and I got curious when he asked me that.

How did he know that I have amnesia? He looks like not a doctor. I’m very curious now about him.

“How did you know that I don’t remember anything about my past?” I asked him curiously. When he was about to say something, the door suddenly opens and I saw CD went inside.

“How are you?” He asked me. So, this is CD’s home, huh?

“How did I get in here?” I asked me.

“I went to your house. I saw you lying unconscious within a dark room so, I took you away from there and take you here instead.” He explained.

“What do you want and you went there? You don’t want to tell me the truth, right? So, why bother going there?” I asked and he took a deep sighed.

“That’s why I went there, for me to tell you about everything that you need to know.” He said. He looks at the guy and he went out of the room.

I sat up on the bed and he sat down on the chair beside the bed. I wait for his next words.

“Three years ago, you’ve got into an accident.” He started and I nodded. That, I know.

“You’re with mommy at that time when you’ve been in an accident.” I creased my forehead.

“Mommy? Your mommy or mine?” I asked him.

“Our mommy. We’re siblings, Char.” I hold onto my forehead when I felt a sudden headache.

“Mommy! We’re going to hit onto something!” I shouted when I saw that we’re about to hit a big truck.

I saw mommy removed her seat belt and she went in front of me. I closed my eyes and everything went black.

I look at CD’s direction and I saw that he’s worried about me. He held my hair and caressed it gently.

“This is the reason why I don’t want to tell you the truth yet. You’re having a headache every time you’ll remember something.” He complained.

“Mommy removed her seat belt to protect me.” I stated. I felt a tear fell down from my eyes. CD wipes my tears and smiled sadly.

“Lil sis, it’s not your fault. No one’s blaming you so, don’t blame yourself.” I look down.

“But, why you didn’t introduce yourself to me? Why you didn’t look for me?” I asked him.

“We looked for you but…” He took a deep sighed.

“They already hide you away from us. Dad’s enemies already hide you away from us.” He answered.

“The reason why I didn’t introduce myself to you is that because I know that you won’t believe me if I told you the truth. Most especially that you already know them as your parents.” He added.

“That’s why you befriend me?” He nodded.

“Sabby and the others knew?” He nodded.

“All of us are childhood best friends, sis.” He explained.

“All of us can’t tell you the truth because of those reasons. That’s why we didn’t say anything to you.” He explained.

“Who’s that guy? The guy in my dreams, based on what I’m seeing, I’m too close with him. It feels like we have a relationship.” I told him.

“He’s not here right now because until now, he’s still looking for you. I also have no idea what is your relationship with each other because you’re not saying anything to us.” He answered.

“But, you’re too close with him. He’s your best friend. You also have feeling for him. To be honest, you’re crazy for him.” I slap his arm.

“What? I’m just stating the truth. While you’re telling me everything before, you’re shaking like you’re dying. Then, you’re also always slapping me.” I feel so ashamed.

“Every time you’re telling everything what happened to big brother Craide, you’re grabbing his hair.” He told me again.

I held my cheeks when I feel so embarrassed. I’m really ashamed now even though I still don’t remember anything, I can still feel that everything he said are true.

“Daddy knows everything about you but, we’re just looking for a right time to tell you the truth. We’re looking for a way for you to believe us.” He explained.

“What about Craide?”

“He didn’t know. When you and mom are gone, he never went home here and even me and dad, we have no news about him anymore.” I nodded.

“Don’t you have pictures or videos?” He shakes his head.

“We’re not that fond with pictures.” He answered me.

“So, we’re just waiting for you to remember everything at your own so that, you know that we are telling you the truth.” He added.

He looks at his phone when it rings. He grabs it and answer the call. I saw him creasing his forehead.

“Aize, where are you right now? I need to talk to you.” I hold onto my forehead when I heard the name that he’s talking with.

Aize… Why do I feel like I know a guy with that name?

“Hello, there. I’m Aize, your friendly neighbor, just for you.” A little kid introduce himself to me.

His face is very familiar for me and also his smile. That’s the smile that I want to see every day. His cheerful face that I want to stare.

“Hello, master. I’m so sorry I’m late.” A familiar guy gave me a bouquet of roses. I happily accepted it from him and I kissed his lips. He sat down beside me and look at my notebook.

“Hmmm… Good job. You got the answer correctly.” He said. I leaned towards him and hugs him.

“I love you.”

“Ahhh!” I screamed when my headache became painful than before because of the memories that I suddenly remembered.

“Char? Shit! Ether!” I heard CD screamed. He held me on both of my shoulders and hug me. My headache became more painful and I held my head tighter than before.

“This is the reason why I told you not to say anything to her, Cial!” I heard the guy commented.

Suddenly, I feel so sleepy and my eyes are slowly closing now. Later on, I totally dose off.

“What did you do?” I asked him. “I made her fall asleep for her to have her own rest. She felt stress because of your words.” He answered.

“I and Jake have been listening to your conversation since a while ago outside the room and, we’ve been stopping ourselves to stop you from telling her the truth.” He added.

I lay Charlotte down and fix her blanket for her not feel cold because of the air condition.

“The more you force her to remember something, the more that will happen to her. If you really want her to remember, take to the places wherein she can remember something about her past.”

“Let her go with the people who’re important for her. Let her introduce the person that is very close to her.” I nodded.

“I’m going to tell Aize to go home here so that, she can be with him.” I answered him and walk out of the room.
