CHAPTER 5 | CHARLOTTE.

I’m already eating my breakfast inside my room. I’m with the guy that I first saw when I woke up and he’s here to watch over me.

“How many days have passed since I came here?” I asked him while eating.

“Almost four days.” Now I know why I feel so weak when I’m moving my body. The last time that I ate something was four days ago.

“This is your medical certificate. Just show that to your professor if you missed a quiz or exam for you to take it.” I accept that he gave me.

“I am a doctor, by the way. Maybe, I don’t really look like one but, I am a real doctor.” He said and stand up. He walks out of the room.

I’m already finish eating and I get out of the bed. I grab the tray and went out of the room to wash the utensils.

I look around the house and it’s very huge. How many people are living here and it’s so big?

I walk towards the kitchen and it feels weird. Why do I feel like I know the way to the kitchen even though this is my first time going here?

When I arrive in the kitchen, I went towards the sink and wash the dishes. While washing the dishes, I heard some footsteps coming to my way.

I look at the direction of the footsteps and I saw a man who looks like in his 50’s. He went towards me then, caressed my hair and kissed my forehead.

I didn’t avoid his touch and kisses because it feels like I missed him so much. I have no idea why I’m feeling like this right now.

“Sweetheart, I’m happy to see you and to be with you again.” He stated with a smile on his face.

“How’s your condition?” He asked.

“I’m fine. It’s just that I have a little headache but, I’m really fine.” I answered him. I hug him tightly because I can’t stop myself already.

“I have no idea but, I miss you.” I whispered. He hugs me back tightly.

“We’re going to make you remember everything and we’re going to make new memories, sweetheart.” I nodded at him.

I take a step backward from him and I continue washing the dishes and put it on its place.

“Take a bath and change your clothes, sweetheart. You still have class to attend.” I nodded at him and went back to the room then, went inside the bathroom to take a shower.

~ IN THE SCHOOL ~

I’m talking with one of my professors to know if I missed an activity or not. I don’t want to fail any of my subjects.

Now that I met my real family, I don’t want to fail my subjects because I don’t want to disappoint them – most especially dad.

“This are the activities and quizzes that you’ve missed, Ms. Walker.” She gave me a paper.

“I’m going to give all of the activities and quizzes that are listed there through your portal later. I’m going to put there the deadline also.” She said.

“Thank you, ma’am.” I said with a smile and she gave my medical certificate back. I accept it and put it inside my bag so that, I’m not going to misplace it.

“You have to rest for now, Ms. Walker. Don’t come to my class later because your condition might get worst.” I nodded at her.

“You’re excuse to my class but, don’t worry because you still have an attendance to my class later.” I nodded again at her and went out of the office.

I’m walking towards the stairs when, I encountered Kristina and her friends. Damn. Here we go again.

“Well, well, well, our beast in disguise is here.” I creased my forehead when I heard her talk. Beast is disguise? What is this bitch saying right now?

“Beast in disguise? Are you reffering to yourself?” I asked while smirking at her. Don’t ever dare annoy me right now and my head is still aching until now.

“How dare you, bitch!” When she was about to slap me, I punch her first on her cheeks. She fell down on the floor and fell asleep.

“Don’t ever dare annoy me. I’m not in the mood to play with you or else, you’ll taste my fist.” I remind Kristina’s friends and went on my way.

I’m here in a waiting shed in front of my department building. I’m alone right now because Sabby and the others are still in their class and I don’t have one because my professor excused me to have some rest.

I’m using my FB account right now and went to my FB wall. CD gave me the access to open it a while ago. I look at all of the posts there and I saw a picture of a guy.

That’s the, the same guy that I keep on seeing in my dreams and I feel that I miss him so much right now.

I hold on the screen of my laptop while staring at the picture. I felt a tear fell down from my eyes.

I wipe my tears away and scroll down to see my other posts. I saw a lot of picture of the guy on my wall and there’s also a picture of us together.

I look at the messages and I saw a name that got my attention. I opened the chat box and read what is written in there.

‘Maybe I can also remember something if I read it.’ I said at the back of my mind.

A lot of tears fell down from my eyes when I read his messages. It feels like my heart is tearing up into pieces because of too much pain.

He never stops messaging me even though he knows that no one will answer him whatever he does. Then, I felt someone is caressing back and I saw CD who’s looking at me worriedly.

“I already told you not to open it for now.” He said. He gave me a handkerchief and I accept it.

I wipe my tears using the handkerchief that CD gave me. I really can’t stop from crying because of what I read.

“I still don’t remember him but, I’m hurt when I read his messages.” I said and he caressed my shoulder.

“Soon, you’ll meet him. Maybe, you’ll remember something about your relationship once you already meet up with him.” I nodded at him.

I already stop from crying and turn off my laptop. I already put it inside my bag and stand up from my seat.

“I’m going to roam around just to feel okay.” I said then, walk away from him. I went out of the campus and went to the nearest mall.

When I arrive in the mall, I immediately roam around the area. While walking, I saw a shop full of stuff toys and I saw someone familiar.

It’s a girl with a son. I don’t remember where I saw her but, she’s really familiar for me.

I walk towards the store for me to see her face clearly when I saw a panda stuff toy holding a rose and I hold onto my forehead.

"Do you want this?" He asked me while he’s hugging the stuff toy from behind. I nodded at him and he smiled.

He went towards the cashier and paid for the stuff toy. He went back to my place and gave the stuff toy to me. I accepted it and kissed him on his lips.

"I love you." He said sincerely. "I love you too." I answered him with a smile.

“Are you okay, ma’am?” I look at the direction of the voice who asked me and I saw the staff from the store looking at me worriedly.

That’s when I realized that I’m already kneeling down in front of the store and I slowly stand up.

“I-I’m fine. It’s just that, I had a little headache.” I answered her while I’m massaging my forehead gently.

“Do you need a doctor? We’re going to call a medic.” I shake my head.

“No, no need. I’m fine. I can handle myself already.” I said and walk out from that place before she calls someone.

I’m already in front of our house and the guard immediately open the gate after I push the doorbell. CD gave me the address of the house a while ago so that, I won’t lose my way home.

I went inside the house and when I arrive at the living room, I saw Cd there while doing some assessments.

I walk towards him and sit down beside him. He stops from answering his assessments and put his arm around my shoulder then kiss my forehead. I didn’t say anything to him and just sigh.

“Something happened?” I shake my head as an answer to him. I lean against him.

“I had a headache a while ago due on remembering something about that guy.” I answered him.

“You’ll meet him soon, okay? Just wait for him because he’s still busy with work.” He said and I nodded.

“You should rest for now. Let’s go, I’ll take you to your room.” I nodded at him and let him take me to my room.
