Chapter 6 | Charlotte.

CHAPTER 6 | CHARLOTTE.

I woke up at exactly 2 AM midnight because I heard someone opened the door from the living room.

I got out from the bed to see who’s that person is. I thought that maybe it’s just dad but, I felt something is strange though.

I opened the door slightly and quietly then, peek outside the room then, I saw a familiar guy but, he’s not the one in my dreams.

It is another guy but, he looks so familiar for me too. I just don’t remember where I met him before though. There’s a dim light on his place and he’s reading some papers while standing.

He wears his eye glasses while reading the papers that he’s holding right now. He looks so cool when he’s wearing his eye glasses.

While staring at him to remember who he is from my past, he suddenly looks at my direction and because of shock, I slammed the door shut.

I heard some footsteps and someone knock on the door. I opened the door slowly then, I saw him standing in front of me and he looks so shock while staring at me.

“Lotté?” He calls me softly. I creased my forehead when I heard his voice because it’s very familiar for my ears.

Then, I felt a sharp pain on my head and I held it. I kneel down because of too much pain.

“Lotté! What happened?” He asked me in a panic but, his voice is slowly fading away until, I finally fainted.

THIRD PERSON

CD woke up when he heard some noise from outside of his room. He got up from his bed and went out of his room then, he was shocked to see his big brother.

“It’s a miracle that you went home this time.” CD commented and the guy looked back at him.

“Just shut up and help me here.” CD went towards him to see what happened. He’s shock to see that Charlotte fainted again and they both carried her and put her down to her bed.

CD immediately grab his phone and call a doctor for them to know her condition. They want to make sure that Charlotte is safe.

“I have no idea that she’s finally back.” The guy commented while staring at Charlotte.

“Well, she’s already here for almost one week but, she just woke up yesterday.” CD answered him.

“What do you mean?” The guy asked while creasing his forehead.

“She’s sleeping for almost four days because I saw her unconscious in a dark room from her home before and it’s obvious that the family who took her were always hurting her.”

“Damn those people. They’ll fucking pay for this.” CD hold his brother’s shoulder to calm him down.

“Brother, before that, introduce yourself to her first so that, she’s not going to be scare of you.” The guy nodded at CD.

“I’ll stay here with her. You may go back to sleep. You have class tomorrow.” CD nodded and he went back to his room to sleep again.

Later on, the doctor that CD called already arrive at Charlotte’s room and he’s already done in checking Charlotte’s condition.

“You’re too stubborn. I already told you not to force her to remember something from her past.” The doctor commented while shaking his head.

“We didn’t do anything wrong though. She just acted like that when she saw me a while ago.” The guy said.

“Just let her to have some rest for now. I’m going now. She’s already fine but, she needs more rest.” The doctor said then, he prepared his things.

“Thank you so much, Jake.” The guy stated then, Jake went on his way. The guy grabs a chair and sit down. He continues on reading his papers while guarding Charlotte for the whole night.

CHARLOTTE

I woke up when I felt something warm on my hand. I look at the direction of my hand and I saw the guy that I saw last night while he’s holding my hand.

And I didn’t know why but, I held his hair and caressed it gently. I saw him moved and he woke up.

He looks at my direction and smiles sweetly at me. He slowly got up and sat up straight then, stretch his bones.

“Hello, I’m Craide Dio Alcaide – your big brother.” He introduces himself to me. He caressed my hair gently and I close my eyes.

“I’m happy that I finally see you again, little Lotté.” He said and I smiled at him.

“It feels like I know you.” I told him softly.

“It feels like I want to hug you and I feel like I also miss you so much.” I added. I sat up on the bed and hugs him.

“I’m also happy to see you.” I whispered and I felt that he kissed my hair.

“Me too. I’m happy.” I heard him answered. I stop hugging him at look at him.

“I need to fix myself now before I become late to my class.” I said and he nodded at me.

“Yeah. And, I have to go too because I have work to do.” He answered and I stand up. I got up from the bed and went inside the bathroom to take a shower.

After taking a bath and wearing my clothes, I went out of the room and I saw big brother Craide and CD who are eating in the dining room. I sat down beside then and they gave me my food and started eating.

“Dad’s not around because he has a meeting.” Big brother Craide told me.

“He’s always in a meeting early in the morning though, starting when mom died.” CD commented.

“So, he’s not always going home here?” They both nodded at me.

“I am shocked when I saw big brother Craide last night when he went home. He’s not always here too.” CD commented while staring at big brother Craide.

“To be honest, I just went home last night because I’m too tried to drive back to my home.” Big brother Craide explained.

“You have children already? Can I meet them too, brother?” I asked him and he nodded at me.

“Later, after work, okay?” CD and I nodded at him and he stood up after eating his breakfast.

“I have to go now before I got late with work.” He said and he kissed me and CD on our foreheads.

“Be careful!” I told him before he went out of the house and he smiled at me. After closing the door, CD and I continue eating our breakfast.

~ 6 PM. ~

When I get back to the house, I saw CD and big brother Craide while playing with two children. I went towards them.

The two children look at my direction and they run towards me with a big smile on their faces.

“Auntie!” They both call me and I smile at them. I kneel down to hug them and kiss their foreheads.

“Hello, babies.” I greeted them.

“They are Aziel and Marcellus Alcaide – my sons.” Big brother Craide introduced his sons to me.

I look at the kids and pinch their cheeks softly and kiss them again. Both of them hugs me and I hug them back.

“Hello, nice to meet you.” I greeted them and sat down on the floor. They both kissed me on my cheeks and I giggled.

“How old are you?” Marcellus raised his four fingers with a smile. So, he’s only four years old, huh?

“I’m eight.” Aziel stated and I smiled. Both of them are really cute and I want to be the best auntie that they can have.

“Let’s play, auntie.” I nodded at Marcellus and then we begin to play when someone opens the door and we all look at its direction.

We all saw daddy who only got home and he really looks so tired right now. When he sees us, he immediately smiles at us.

He went towards us and hugs us all tightly and kisses us on our foreheads lovingly. The two kids laugh.

“I’m happy that you’re complete right now.” He commented and sat down beside me.

“Grandpa!” The two kids hugged him and this is the first time that I felt this way – this is the first time I felt so happy. It feels like I don’t want to lose this happiness anymore.

“Are you okay, sweetheart?” I looked at daddy’s direction and nodded at him with a smile.

“You became so quiet that’s why I asked you because you might not be feeling so well. Are you feeling something?” I shake my head.

“I’m fine, dad. It’s just that, I’m not too used to this yet.” I answered him honestly.

“I know that you still don’t remember most of your memories and we understand that.” He said.

“And besides, we have a lot of time to be together. No need to rush just to remember us, little Lotté.” I nodded at big brother Craide.

“Okay.” That’s all that I can answer to them and continue playing with the kids to bond with them more.
