The bell went ping and a short while later the door opened. Nanklin being unimpressed with who pressed the door bell, she slowly closed the door behind her and stood right in front of the door, leaning beside it with hands crossed between each other.

"Hi Nanklin," a young gentleman greeted with a grin.

"Hmm, Morning Longkat, how do you do?" She greeted back throwing away her face.

"I'm good. Can I please come in?"

"Nope, absolutely not," She brashly declined. "Tell me everything you want to tell me right here, else am done."

He was in a sombre mood.

"First, I'm sorry for everything that happened between us. And also, I came to sympathize with the incident in your school, an. . ."

"That was three days ago," she cut him off. "You show up in my family house this early morning and try to use that old incident as leverage to get to me. Listen Long, I'm not in some lousy bull shit with you."

Seeing how she was well firmiliar with his cover, he decided to come clean, hide all his ego and do anything necessary. He therefore, after savaging his sight round the neighborhood and declaring it free from attentions, he humbly went down on a knee.

"Kai!" She exclaimed, slightly brushing her palms together right to left, left to right. "You ridiculous Long, just get up and get going before Granny gets here."

"Please, I love you Nanklin. I need you back in my life, I know I've messed up big time, but please give me another chance."

"We broke up like two years ago, and after you've finished fucking around you came back, just when you know people ain't watching and knelt down here."

"I don't understand, I'm kneeling in the public for you."

She laughed and instantly became serious once again.

"You must really take me for a fool thinking I don't know you've been constantly staring around to be clear of people. You're just unbelievable, Long. I'm a final year 2nd class upper student in psychology, I know your moves."

He immediately stood up, his cover had blown one more time. Admitting within him that what he was there for was a 'mission impossible', he contemplated on sarcastically replying her, especially from how unkind she was towards him. But on another thought, it would be the stupidest thing ever, simply it would just be better if he humbled and walk away. But that would be too easy, going down without a fight, struggle or pestering. At least he should be proud going home and having the temerity to tell a good story of how he tried.

"I can't stop thinking of you and how awful I misbehaved," he put his thoughts to test. "I've changed, please understand."

Just about to utter the next word, Granny showed up and leaving matters worse, Nanklin went in, leaving Longkat to face Granny all by himself. And one puzzling thing that stroke him, Granny was a dog, a rottweiler named Granny. She was never kind to strangers, sometimes Nanklin herself after being away in school for long returned back and find herself on Granny's vile list.

Nevertheless, Longkat deployed running as an option, but as well knew it was and indeed a bad idea. He therefore cleverly turned and headed for the road, walking but not that kind of usual walk, a more advanced one which was almost as running. However, the lusty dog went a bit at him but stopped as a little girl came out, calling it back. Actually, Nanklin's little cousin. Definitely, Longkat found himself a good story to proudly tell.

Later in the night, on a phone call conversation, Nanklin was reporting the earlier incident to Akwa. Akwa was actually at Jason's house for the mean time, while their hostels was under reconstruction.

"That was harsh fa, you should've been a little bit nice to him," Akwa lamented.

"Wetin concern me. God just sent him to come and see if I'm still stupid, foolish like before," Nanklin unpleasantly said.

Akwa gave a loud cackle, kicking the couch she sat on.

"Long. . . Cat," Akwa stressed. "Your tall cat was back on his knees and you sent your dog after him. See how sinister that is? Now you're the bad person in this story, not him, you're now the villain."

"It's Longkat, one word," Nanklin said. "Just call him whatever you like, I don't care. In fact, get off my phone bitch."

"Throw me out, slut."

"Happy married life," Nanklin further teased. "If you like, get belle or belles, wetin concine me."

"Wow. . .! Smart girl," Akwa complimented. "We actually have plans of making that a reality tonight, we're gonna make babies!"

Nanklin hissed and hung up. Meanwhile Akwa stood up and went to the backyard, to Jason. On the flat leveled trimmed, green grass he laid on his back under the full moon with earpiece stuck to his ears. It's luminescent had lit the sky bright, chasing the darkness to oblivion. Akwa stood leaning beside a pillar. She wore shorts and an oversized T-shirt of Jason's.

"Get over here Belle, come join me," he commanded.

She hopped down the corridor jumping from side to side to him playfully. She approached and lifelessly fell on him, spreading her arms like a plane.

"Aw!" he gave a grunt of pain.

"Sorry na. . ." She rubbed his belly under his shirt.

Suddenly, she as well winced from a slight nip on her belly. He smartly made his hand under her shirt and took his revenge. She instantly roused up in a deadpan aggressiveness and attacked him. He however didn't fought back and instead, buried his face in her chest, tightly holding her waist while she softly knocked his head. They were both on kneeling position, and soon, she stopped hitting him and embraced him warmly against herself, kissing his hair. They gradually went down together, she on her back and he kissing her belly and tickling her with his tongue. She laid still and let him, she actually loved it. Suddenly, with his lips stuck to her belly, he blew waves or air and it caused her belly to vibrate, causing her to laugh hysterically. She kept laughing till she pushed to his head off.

"Hey, look at that," she sharply pointed in the sky. "The shooting star, it's so beautiful."

He turned but it was too late, guess that's why it's called a 'shooting star', quick as quicksilver. He however rested is head next to hers, both catching their breath from the long laugh.

"I love sitting under a full moon, it's gives me joy," he said finally riding off the smile.

"Of course, Romantist, nature is your thing Mr. Coleridge," she affirmed.

"Not just that Belle, I've always wanted to sit with someone I love under it. The light shining on our skin, one of my top wishes."

She turned and faced him, closely together.

"You've always wanted to do a lot of things to someone you love," she said. "You first took me to the rocky mountain, then you sang for me in the public, you forced me to learn your ball room dance whatever, then this moon thing. So it got me wondering, what if we explore everything you love to do with me now and exhaust all of it, when we get married what will we be doing then?"

Quite alarming for she mention marriage at that point, he really had not thought of it. The whole marriage stuff had not occurred in his head yet, but as she had said, probably had thought, it looked like a win win for him.

"Well. . . I don't know, you tell me," he replied.

"Fight, we would fight all day since they're no more things you'd love to do with me. So, I suggest you keep some for future purpose."

"Al, alright," he forced a smile.

She totally had no idea of his consciousness about her marriage talks, she didn't think of it as not more than just an ordinary conversation, better still, figurative way of talking.

He then held her hand after a while of silence, being listening to her talk all the way.

"I lied about something," he interjected and she stopped.

"What? Tell me," she requested looking calm, but obviously curious.

"I've had this on mind for long now and believe me I wanted to tell you but I forgot."

She said nothing, wishing he'd say it already and should be of less importance.

"Remember when you first walked through my door and discovered I was a guy?"

She nodded slowly.

"You asked me if the girl I used her pictures knew about it, I said yes but I lied."

She relieved internally, laying waste of her fears. Yet, it wasn't over, a lie is definitely a lie, no matter how small it is, the same treatment applied.

"The truth is, I didn't know who she was, I just randomly checked and decided to use her pictures. I lied because you were so angry and I knew that would spoil every left if attention I gathered from you. I'm sorry."

He looked sombre, however she took it as nothing to hold a grudge unto. But definitely, she saw it appropriate to react, at least a little bit, but the thing was, she lacked a reaction. Out of her struggles to deliberately manufacture one, it led to humor and she just smiled, smiled for no reason she could possibly defend. She then reached out and kissed him.

"Don't worry, I got your special punishment awaiting," she said.

"Wha, what's that," he hyped up.

"Your dance, I will delay the dance till further notice," she said with a smile.

"Oh. . . God!" he fell his head tirelessly back to the ground.

She chuckled softly, strolling down with swipes on his phone for choice of music. She suddenly stumbled on Ed Sheeran's 'All of the stars'. While playing through the earpiece, she stuck one limb in her ears and the other in his, together they laid, facing each other listening to the sweet music.

The doctor affirmed her physically fit, however, the heart was sore, burdened and heavy. She imagined what it'll be like for Jason in prison, how her life was going to be without him around. Her mother had been trying all day long to get her eat something at least, not forgetting the fact that she failed to get her to talk."He didn't do it," she finally spoke. Her mother was filled with joy as she heard her speak finally, not minding what she said."He took the fall for me," another turn of tears began. "I put him in there.""No baby," her mother gainsayed. "He confessed, he's paying for his crimes not you. It's only good that he did the right thing by stepping up with the truth."Akwa was too weak and groggy for any long disagreement or anger demonstration. She grossly stared

Suddenly, a police officer walked to their bus and ruled it out of the waiting line to park over the pedestrian lane. Few police officers approached and a thorough search was administered to all passengers."Hey!" An officer exclaimed. "Drug, heroin."That was an alert from Akwa's satchel. At midday, Akwa stopped by a superstore to purchase a few things. While roaming around, there was a sudden raise of cheer within the store. Out of curiosity she abandoned her project to sought about the influence behind it. Suddenly, she heard the 'happy birthday to you. . .' being sang by the workers there. From her observation, it was a surprise birthday celebration for one them. However she took her time, leaned beside a pillar and watched carefully as they were in a pool of joy. She at that moment wished she'd been partly involved in such an occasion, either the celebrant or the organizer. Being staring for a while, she suddenly smiled and headed for the exit. It was as if she learned one or two concepts from the occasion which would benefit her.In school, Akwa sat in hall desperately going through her mobile phone.
