Chapter 13

Selena

The last night passed very fast with a good start, and I came back home and fell asleep immediately for hours. I needed waking up in a good mood to start what I planned to.

I woke up at 5 pm and rushed immediately to the shower; I need to be in the casino at 7 pm as a maximum.

My legs slipped in the bathtub while I was taking the shower.

Suddenly the door opened, I was totally naked. "Franco!" I shouted annoyingly at Franco.

He blushed and scrunched his nose "Sorry; I heard some noises, I thought you need help with anything. I didn't mean opening the door without permission."

"It's not a door! It's the shower door!"I groan and huffed.

"Pensively I am sorry." he headed down in discomfort.

Somehow I feel as if he is a female child or as my little young brother, I wasn't so furious. To be honest I have to admit he didn't look at my body at all. He was the one who just blushed not me.

I commanded him sternly "Get out Franco please and get ready I have to go to the casino on time."

"But why?" Franco cleared his throat and stared at me.

"Mr. Jacob, the owner of the casino, invited me for dinner."I stepped out of the tub and covered my body with a towel.

"A date?!" Franco rolled his eyes and pursued me to the room.

"No silly! Just friendship I guess!"I chuckled. But I don't know why I'm telling him and I don't understand why he asks either. But I guess I really feel how good a person he is.

"Take care please." He sighed and patted my back gently then stepped outside the room.

"Why?" I stopped him with my question.

"This place is not safe, and Jacob is not a normal person either." he turned his head slowly to me and informed me firmly. As if he knows something.

"What do you mean?" I stepped closer and narrowed my eyes.

"Um, nothing. I will be waiting for you downstairs."He trembled and cleared his throat then he dashed off the room.

I don't know about Franco, but the way he trembled with his angelic confused look and curiosity drew on his face when I said I will meet Jacob was so weird. As if he wanted to tell me something as if he knows Jacob very well.

But even so, I do insist on going. This might be my only opportunity. I am desperately in need of money, so I will grab the money ASAP.

I wore a black long dress, sleeveless showing all my back and almost half of my breasts.

I raised my hair up to show all of my necks. I put the last sexy touch of mine by wearing sparkling black high heels that could make anyone kneel down my feet. I splashed my body with bronze oil.

I checked myself for the last time in the mirror. 'This is undeniably the best look I've ever been.'

I stepped down the stairs, and I didn't find Franco. I thought he was waiting for me in the car.

I hastened to the car; I waved to him, but he was doing something. He didn't even notice me while I was getting inside. As if he was spacing out with his mind.

But once I coughed to bring in his attention, he trembled and a picture slipped from his hands.

I'm not such a nosy person but the way he acted pushed me to snatch the picture from his hand.

"Give me this," Franco yelled like crazy.

I raised my hand to take a look before handing him the picture.

"What the hell?! You and Jacob!" I winded my eyes.

He sighed a long and deep one and some tears rolled down his cheeks "Yeah."

"Are you Gay?!" I raised my eyebrows, curiosity wasn't the main reason now for this question, but I wanted to find out why I'm invited to a dinner with Jacob.

"Yes, and I used to be in a relationship with Jacob but we broke up a month ago." He blurted out angrily.

"Why?" I rubbed my chin gazing at him; his body language was so stressed, it was apparent that he was still deeply in love with him.

"He said that he can't give me a reason," Franco smirked, curbing his anger.

"That's it! So harsh and selfish!"I roared annoyingly.

"No! He is not like this."Franco bawled breathing highly with unfocused eyes. As if he remembered their old days together.

"Then why? How could he do this to you?"I furrowed my brows.

"I don't know." He shrugged his shoulders and smiled.

I snapped my fingers to his face "Then, let's go together."

"What? I can't."He gasped flabbergasted.

"No, you can. Go wear your best suit and we will pretend that we are in love."I mumbled gazing at him explaining my plan. I want Franco to be there to pull the truth from Jacob about that dinner by stressing on his nerves.

"What?! This is crazy."He shook his head disapproving.

I pulled his hand and rubbed it gently "Trust me, you helped me once and I will pay you back Now."
