CHAPTER 21 "Meeting Suspects"

Meetings with the four suspects finally arrived. Briana still hasn't returned from her investigation. We were forced to hold a meeting without Briana. I hope it doesn't end badly. 

Heolstor and Cecilia entered the room. The nobles paid their respects. The four suspects sat in the middle of the meeting room. The situation became very bad, because they defended each other.

The first suspect is a noble woman. She is the baronnes of the Sunya family. The second suspect is viscount of the Gabron family. The third suspect is marquess of the Grissham family. Then the last suspect is marquees of the Goldwin family. 

The situation was getting out of hand. Heolstor tried to calm them down. Finally they stopped and finally Heolstor asked one by one what they were doing at the banquet.

Baroness Sunya said that she only passed the balcony area but did not come to the balcony, After that she returned to the hall until Cecilia came back injured. The same was said to the three previous suspects, eyewitnesses like servants also said that the four suspects only passed through the balcony area. 

Briana must have had reasons for choosing them as suspects. What is the reason?, I hope Briana is here. we can hear her explanation as well. 

After the meeting had been carried out for a very long time. They still did not find the culprit and would continue the next day. Heolstor and Cecilia head to the emperor's office, they want to discuss about today's meeting. At the same time, Arthur entered the room together with someone wearing a robe. Heolstor finally asked Arthur. 

"Who is the person beside you?" 

He opened his robe that covered his face. At that time, a woman with long hair tied with brown hair. None other than that woman is Briana. Briana has returned from her investigation and will start a report to them. 

Briana apologizes for being late to come back. After hearing everything from Arthur about the dead people found behind the palace gates and the scars in the victims. He took a few more checks slowly and found something. 

She provided us with information about the four suspects. Baronnes Sunya was suspected by Briana because she had strong ties to the northern powers. Heolstor took her territory because of the corruption of the area. It is said that she has a grudge against Heolstor, therefore it is possible that she will get her revenge by killing me. 

Secondly there was Viscount Baron, Briana chose him because he was the one who refused Heolstor's appointment as emperor. He didn't accept it and didn't like Heolstor as emperor. The same thing was done by marquess Grissham and Goldwin like viscount Baron, they didn't like Heolstor for being emperor. 

All of this has to do with Heolstor. What is this?. Why do they take it out on me?. 

Cecilia kept thinking carefully, until she finally saw the file given by Briana. In each file there is information about the four suspects, in the left corner of the paper. There are family symbols of each of the four suspects. He realized something and looked at it carefully again. 

I tries to remember the person who pushed me on balcony, symbols and suspects.

"Briana this symbol?"

"Yes, did you realize that too?"

The meeting was held again as promised. This time Briana joined the meeting. They started to defend themselves like before. Briana ordered them to be quiet and the situation in the meeting turned very quiet.

"Marquess Grissham, is it true you just passed through the balcony area? "

"Of course, I have a witness if I just pass through the balcony area."

"You don't lie, marquez Grissham. you don't have a witness."

Marquess Grissham looks very angry and defends herself. He has an eye witness and very strong evidence. The eyewitnesses were silent and did not respond to any of the meetings. 

"I have a proof, marquess Grissham."

Cecilia went to the eyewitness and took her clothes off her shoulders. Cecilia smiled and showed everyone. Eyewitnesses have the same scars as those who attacked Cecilia. Arthur spoke that a few days ago, they found an assassin who attacked Cecilia at a banquet. They have the same scars as an eye witness. 

"Not only that, I also found strong evidence that you are the culprit."

Cecilia provides a symbol of his family. If seen, they are just ordinary symbols. But if you pay close attention, it is a symbol with an eagle. Cecilia pointed to the eagle's eye, there was a scars on the eagle's eye and was exactly the same as assassin and witness. 

"How could it be that with the same wound as the symbol of my family, make me the real culprit?. Maybe the eyewitness was an assassin who wanted to frame me." 

Briana started talking. They are indeed assassins. But what's interesting about them, they are secret assassins from the Grissham family. 

Everyone started whispering about the Marquees Grissham. 

"How can I be a culprit?. whereas I just passed through the front balcony area. There's no way I can walk to the end of the balcony to push Empress Cecilia away?"

Things got so tense, until finally Heolstor asked how Marquess Grissham knew that Cecilia was being pushed on the end of the balcony. Marquess said he heard of the incident to several guards. 

Heolstor just stared at Marquess Grissham, until finally Arthur explained that where Cecilia's balcony area. It hasn't been said by everyone, only certain people know about it. Heolstor asked once again with his sharp gaze, Marquess Grissham's face looking very pale. Heolstor without hearing Marquess Grissham's reply, asked the guards to arrest him and take him to dungeon. 

Finally, the meeting ended after the culprit were arrested. I was shocked at all the facts. Briana gives me a drink, we thank each other. Briana, thank you for your hard work. I am very happy to meet you.

"Briana?, will you be my friends?"

With her warm smile, "Of course, Cecilia."

She called me without a formality. Her beautiful and handsome face, I was blushing away by her. Can I be someone like Briana?. Briana is indeed a great person.
