The proposal

At silvers home

Mr ant : silver where are you off to this morning,it's a Sunday won't you rest and your senior year exams are fast approaching,remember you have to study in other to be the best.

silver: 

I know bro ,I would do some reading today I am not going just to have fun. we want to spend something swimming before we focus on what is important. he said reading all the time is not that good. that is why he is one of the best .

Mr Antony: if you say so just remember to keep your emotions in check alright. we do not want two brothers fighting because of you. 

silver: Simon is the one I love bro ,he has always been there he always calls me so we can do our night reading before I go to bed while he goes to school. I know it's quite stressful for him anyways.but we have to adjust to the time difference.

Mr Antony: have you accepted his proposal yet. 

silver: I am not ready for that bro. Maybe after I finish with my final exams I would give him a befitting reply 

Mr Antony: I trust you know what you're doing . 

(Sam is already in the car pressing the honk button)

silver: yes bro , he is waiting for me already. 

Mr Antony: alright take good care of yourself baby girl.

silver : bye (silver walks out and Sam came down from the car to help her with her bag.

 Sam: I hope you are ready to be defeated by me .

silver : keep dreaming

In no time they arrived at the school sport center. changed their wears and did a few swimming rounds before seating down to eat.

silver: it seems someone really came prepared today. 

Sam: yeah yeah laugh at me, I just really wanted today to be special for the both of us.

silver: what's the occasion

Sam: nothing,just wanted to have fun with someone I care about .

silver: okay, I never knew you were this bad at swimming I would have joined the swimming team and kicked your ass.

Sam: common you were just lucky today.

silver: oh really , I was one of the best in my previous school and believe me when I say we go for major competitions . I was young then when I started swimming, but after my parents death I had to drop everything I loved including my dreams.

Sam: it's fine dear you would be victorious very soon and I believe that.

silver: how far have you gone with your chemistry notes

Sam: not that far,what about you.

silver: I am done, I'd just do a few revisions before the exams, you know I have the best coach in the world.

Sam: Me?

silver: hell no ,simon.what else do you know apart from your calculations.

Sam: you know if I was an art student I would have crushed you. perhaps art are for dull kids like you and Simon.

silver: Get out of here loser.lets finish eating so we can start reading.

( after eating they studied for 3 hours)

Sam: silver

silver:yes what's up.

Sam: are you done reading I want to take you somewhere.

silver: yes I'm done just about closing my book, but where are you taking me to .

Sam: it's somewhere special to me.

silver: okay then let's go ,but you owe me lunch tomorrow hahahaha 

Sam : that is fine with me

silver: I need some chicken pepperoni pizza and ice cream .you'd also get me some chicken ramen noodles. damn I miss those .

Sam: done , just come with me okay.

silver: okay but this your serious face is getting me all worried. 

Sam: do not be, let us go

they both took a long drive out of town , he took her to a farm house.

silver: where is this Sam.

Sam: this is the property owned by my mum.

silver: oh it must really hold a special place in your heart.

Sam: yes, since my mum dad everything has been different,we normally come here to spend our week ends and holiday. then this place was booming with life.

silver: so you guys stopped coming here after her death I presume.

Sam: yes my dad could not stand it, it brought back lots of memories,I would not lie ,even I find it hard to come here most times but I have to come and watch over this place and clean it up some times . I spend most of my spare time here.

silver: what of Simon doesn't he pay visit to this place.

Sam: not really, he could not handle her death he still believed they were supposed to die together that day.

silver: why

Sam: well he was involved in the accident that took my mum's life. he survived but she died. 

silver: am really sorry about that. I too lost my parents in a car accident.

Sam: really, I am sorry about that dear, come let me take you to where she's buried .

silver: Okay

Sam took silver to the burial place they sat there for some minutes before they they decided to leave.

 Silver: I really loved what you did to this place, your mum would really be proud

Sam:silver be my girlfriend friend.

silver: hmmmm do not do that to me please, you know how important

before she could finish her statement Sam gave her a kiss.

silver: (angry because Sam just took her first kiss without her consent) why would you do that just go around kissing people without their permission.

Sam: Don't be angry with me silver I just could not handle my self anymore. you are the most beautiful girl I know. you are smart , strong willed I don't know if I can see any other one like you. 

silver: please stop all this you are doing ,you know that your brother already asked me out so why would you be doing this, or is it because he has travelled out you think I would just pick you over him. fine you've been very nice to me but I can not do that to your brother. perhaps I am not ready for all this drama. me and Simon have been friends for more than a year never had he taken advantage of me. he always respects me. please just take me home this moment. I don't think I have anything else to say to you.

Sam took silver home but through out the ride they didn't exchange words, all they exchanged was glances. 

Sam: silver wait.

silver stopped

Sam: please I am really sorry for crossing my boundaries I hope this does not change our relationship, I would be waiting for your reply. if you do not mind, I want you to be my date for the prom of next week.

silver:(didn't bother looking at his face) well I do not think there is any need need for me to think about it .I am not interested okay look for another date. have a good day and please stay away from me. this is the last time we would be seeing each other eye to eye. bye

  

silver walked out without even looking at him ones.
