12 year old girl lived with her parents mr and mrs Franklin . The family has been one of the biggest and richest family in the whole country for a very long time now. A family of three living together, mrs franklin was expecting her second child. Silver and her family where heading to their home town to spend the holidays with silvers grand parents .

     

Dad why don’t we go to grands ma tomorrow

     

Dear we have to be there by today 

     

    

Can I stay back mum I don’t really feel too good .

       

   

Okay baby girl the driver would drop you at grand ma’s tomorrow, love you kiss the baby good bye and give your dad a big hug.

While on the way , 

Tom dear , How is the multi billion deal , has it been finalised 

   

Yes my love , but my brother has been on my mum neck to give the contract to him, and you know I can not do that. This is mainly for silver , all the documents have been finalised.

  

Okay honey just be careful, I don’t want this whole issue to cause a rift between you and your brother.

(Tom tried to step on the breaks but it failed, the breaks has been tampered with. They ran into a truck transporting petrol) .

  

Silver was still fast asleep the next morning when she heard the door bell rang. The butler attended to the person at the door but to his biggest surprise it was mr Tom’s brother and his family moving into the big mansion.

 

Butler- you’re welcome sir ,Mr Tom and his wife are not available at the moment sir, they went to visit your mother . 

 

Fred- Huh sorry to break the news to you but my brother and his wife and my niece had a fatal accident yesterday. They were burnt alive

  

Vanessa :(chuckles) Take this bags inside and get rid of their things , we are the new occupants of this house. From now on you work for us

  

Butler: but sir

  

Fred :do as you are told and get out of my face. 

   

Unknown to Fred 

silver was very much alive . Fred and his family were busy settling in when silver came out to greet them. There was suspense everywhere . 

   

Mona: Mom how the fuck is she alive I thought she’s dead. 

   

Vanessa : Honey what’s going on here

Silver : ( feeling surprised at their reactions ) uncle are you and aunt going to be living with us now. Am so excited mona come let me take you to see my room, I’d be going to visit grandma today wanna come. Mr butler get my things ready I’d be leaving the house in 

two hours time. 

   

Fred: No one is going any where, 

silver seat down I want to talk to you. 

    

 

Fred enquires why she didn’t travel with her parents , after ward informed her about the death of her family. Silver was heart broken , it felt like her world has come to an end. After two weeks of preparations Mr and mrs frankly was buried amicably. Silver lives had gradually begun to turn around for the worst. She was driven out of her room because her cousin mona wanted it for her self. It was the second largest room in the mansion. Filled with exquisite decorations. Mona could not wait to share the upgrade from her shabby room to a room in the mansion with her friends. Dave her younger brother was also given a large room also. 

 Silver was sent to stay at the workers quarter. Anytime they had a quest she would be brought back into the house to stay, to prevent people from saying bad things against mr Fred and his family.

   

Silver- Mr butler I don’t understand why my parents had to leave me. Or didn’t they love me ( started crying)

 

Mr butler: My little princess, you meant 

the world to them. Have you forgetter what your mum always told you , that you’re the best thing that ever happened to them.

  

Silver- then why did they have to go , why didn’t they take me to where ever they are , I feel so lonely. It’s been six months and uncle promised to take me back to school . Am still here

 

Mr butler: My dear you just have to be hopeful okay. We the workers would be praying and taking good care of you

  

Mona was was standing behind the door eavesdropping on their conversation, she went straight to her father to report to him. That afternoon the butler and the maids 

were all fired. Anyone that could comfort or save silver from what is to come. They employed new workers and instructed them to treat silver like she’s one of them,Because she’s nothing but a worker in the house. 

 

Gradually silver got used to the fact that she has Been reduced to nothing but a mere servant. She was stripped of all her belongings and wealth. 

 She washed the dishes and assist with the cooking. She sometimes go to the market to buy groceries.

  

  

On her way to the market one day she met with her old class mater. 

    

Philip : Excuse me , excuse me , please miss wait a minute let me talk to you

   

Silver : (turns to face him) please am not, wait Philip

     

Yeah 

it’s been a long time how have you been , wow you go shopping for groceries now, what about your maids

    

  

Eh I’ve got to go it was nice meeting 

 

Wait I didn’t mean to upset you, talk to me silver ever since you lost your parents I’ve not seen you around in school, 

you don’t come for major events anymore . Hope you know we are writing our final exams this year before we go to college . Silver it literally seemed like you don’t exist anymore . Please maybe I can help you out. You know my parents are lawyers.
