Chapter 5

Two weeks after silver resume school, she was already working 

hard and with the help of Simon she was already picking up on her studies .  

  

After today’s class she was working at the eatery when an unexpected visitor came in. 

 Boss j: silver there’s someone waiting for you in my office , she said she’s family.

 Silver: hmm I have no family apart from uncle Antony and nanny Louisa. Well thank you ( just the thought of her been found out scared the crap out of her. She didn’t know if she should run for the hills or stand her ground and face what ever comes her way, silver loves her life here and she’s getting used to everyone she wouldn’t want to trade this life for nothing . She came a solution, that if it’s her aunt she would tell her to forget that she exist and they can have everything. ) 

 Silver slowly walk towards the door , in opening the door she was really surprised by who she 

saw

 

Silver : Granny ( she ran and hugged her, she sat on her legs) granny how did you find me .

 Granny love : my dear how I’ve longed to see you face(she started crying). Why did you run away my beautiful grand child. 

 Silver: Granny please don’t cry am fine as you can see. 

 Granny love: I looked everywhere for you, the tension was too much that I had to be hospitalised. My butler had to hire good detectives to search for you. My dear all hope was lost. Even your uncle got tired

 

Silver: (becomes scared) Granny no , please no matter what he must not know where I am.

 Granny love: why , did they hurt you?

 Silver: he killed my parents Granny and they tried to kill me too.

 Granny love: Don’t say that dear your parents died in an accident remember.

 

Silver : Granny that’s right but it was all planned by them

 Granny love: How do you mean my dear

Silver: Nanny Louisa over heard them talking about it, they hired someone to tamper with the breaks of the car. She also over heard them planning to kill me . 

 Granny: ( surprised by the truth) no no my son ain’t capable of murder. God what have I done wrong. Fred has finally killed me. He and his good for nothing wife. He wants to reap where he did not sow. 

(Angry) come with me back home let’s get them arrested. Let’s put them to jail for what they did to you .

  

Silver: calm down granny and listen to me please, I am very happy and safe over here

  

Granny love: safe you say? If I can find you then anyone can.

  

Silver : Granny love you found me because you were looking. Am not sure uncle is searching for me .

 

Granny love: that’s true my love.

 

Silver : Granny you still haven’t told me how you found me .

 

Granny: oh that it was through your school my dear, when your present principal logged in to the education site to get your previous details I was alerted by your previous principal. 

  

Silver: That means anyone can find me granny, I want you to help me clean all traces that would lead them to me. 

  

Granny love:Does that mean you won’t be coming back home with me?

 

Silver : Yes grandma , I have to get stronger and finish my studies. I should be able to defend myself from their tricks and plots. 

  

Grandma love: Hmmm 

my child I understand. How do you plan on paying your university tuition fees 

because I can’t send money to you. They would be able to trace it. 

 

Silver: it’s fine grandma I can manage.

 Granny love: (held her hand) My child you’ve really grown,Your parents would be very proud of you. Still I can’t stay without 

doing anything to help out my baby. I would be sending the butler to you from time to time . He bring the cash 

to avoid any traces, you have to open an account okay. There we would be saving your tuition fees together. And I promise you my love on your 18th year birthday I would send you the car your dad promised you before he died. 

 

Silver: Thank you very much granny , you’re the best .

Granny love: it hurts me that I can’t take you along me with me. I have to go before they notice anything. For the main time I would stay at your fathers mansion so I’d be able to put a good eye on the finances. 

 

Silver: Grand ma we need someone that is well trusted on the inside to watch things keenly . 

 

Granny love: Don’t worry about that love, I have so many people already working for me on the inside. In time my love , just promise me that you’d be safe and also promise to work hard.

 

Silver : Okay Granny, take care. I would have love to walk you out but I don’t want anyone seeing us together.

 

Granny love: it’s fine my dear, I came with the butler any ways  

 (She gave her a hug and left) I am so happy, thank you lord for this you have done . 

Boss j: And who was that and what does she want. 

Silver: my neighbour at where I lived before, she just came to say hi .

Boss j: Okay but next time keep your family business out of here. Now go to work the customers are waiting.

After closing hours silver went to Simon’s place .

  

Knock knock . 

 Silver: 

Simon Simon where are you, am back from work

 

Sam: can you stop shouting 

this place ain’t no zoo .

 

Silver: I am sorry I didn’t know I was that loud .

 

Sam : Now you know, come in while I wake him up . 

  

Silver: Thank you. ( walks in to meet Simon already walking down the stairs ). hey I thought you were asleep. 

 

Simon : yes but the sound of your beautiful voice woke me up. 

 

Sam:(laugh) lion sound voice you mean. Don’t flatter yourself you sound like an hungry lion. 

 

Simon : (looks at him angrily) Thank you very much for your opinion no one asked for . Can you now leave us to study in peace

  

Sam: what ever , enjoy your time with this ugly duckling over here

 

Silver: 

( trying hard to hold her tongue) Simon it’s fine don’t bother yourself , we don’t have to get through his outdated drama all the time.( Simon burst into laughter). 

  

Sam: what did you say, so you think you can make 

gest of 

me and go free . Now watch me trample on you .

 

Simon : come off it bro she’s just playing around. Don’t take it serious perhaps you insult her all the time . 

 

Sam : Shut up Simon , watch your back young lady. ( walks out in anger) 

 

Silver: what the hell is wrong with your brother, he keeps picking on me. 

  

Simon: silver that’s just how he is , I’d advise you to stay clear of him.

 

Silver : I’m not scared of him, in-fact I hate him. 

 Simon: well what ever just be careful , you don’t want to be on his black list. I’d talk to him later okay.

 

Silver: okay , let’s not waste more time on him. What topic are we working on today.  

 

Simon: make a pick.
