Chapter Four

Lydia 

  I was sitting in our usual table waiting for my friend, although I don't know if Nicole will talk to me after what happened. I  suddenly heard some noise giggling and whispering.

Lydia pull yourself together don't be curious. 

  the whispering keeps  increasing so I couldn't help it, so I  checked outside the window to my surprise I saw Zion taking selfie with some weird girl I rolled my eye

Jerk

I sat back on my chair continuing with what I was doing and nicole came.

"Hello lydi"

I was surprised because I thought she's not going to talk to me after what happened between us. I love Nicole she's such a nice friend 

"Hi Nicole where have you been"

"Just walking around  thinking of what to wear to the party"

"Oh Nicole you promised to never disturb me about parties right?"

"Please lydi for me" she pleaded. I like her smile with her cute face.

"Ok "

"Yes!"

" OK so what will you wear"

"Have no idea" I sigh.

"Ok! Have an idea" she claps

"Let go shopping " I rolled my eye 

"What Nicole are you crazy because of this so called party we are going to shopping"

"Come on lydi its just for one night we have to look our best do you want us to go to the party and feel embarrassed"

"Whatever"

We heed to an Inexpensive boutique I just sat on the cushion Nicole is the one choosing the clothe

"This?"

"No too short"

"What of this?" She brings out a purple short sleeveless gown with lace at the top

"Too netty and short" she stops for some  second

"OK I know the one that is going to be perfect for you" she went back and choose one red gown with pearl designed on it.

"Wow Nicole you're such a darling  I love this" Nicole choose same design with mine but different color we finished shopping and heed back to our homes.

The vest of the week go by In a rush and then it is time for the party. Throughout the week Nicole kept ranting and ranting about the party and now it is time for it and she is getting ready.

The party is taking place at his house which is not far from school. I wore  my red gown with my purse and red hills and Nicole wore her blue gown same with mine and she's now applying her makeup

"Lydi aren't you going to apply makeup"

"No I'll settle on just lip gloss"

"Yes you will, we can't go to the party with you looking like that"

"What wrong with me looking like this"

"Nothing you just look like....a sleepy monster"

"Gee..thanks"

"Ok come" she dragged me to the chair close to the mirror

"Just close your eyes and see the magic"

"OK but light makeup please"

"OK"

Fifteen minutes later, with me  complaining I look totally different,  I look like a better version of me.

"Wow Nicole thanks"

"You are welcome"

"So shall we let not be late"

"OK"

I got inside and Nicole drove us to his house.

"Do you know the place" I asked Nicole

"From all the description yes, I do"

After a while I started hearing the faint sound of music as Nicole parks and we got out. The parking space is almost filled up I found some girls dressing half naked entering the house.

We entered the building and the song playing was blasting through the huge house. Where are his parent, Does he live alone in this huge house. As I was exploring the house I found some weirdos  making out on the couch and turned to look at Nicole she eyed me and muttered quietly

"Let go"

I sat down quietly In one of the couch and listening to the beating of the music as I looked at the dance floor I saw Nicole dancing I dragged her to the empty nearby couch.

"Lydi, let go dance and loosen up a little"

"I don't really feel like dancing"

"OK then, I feel like dancing so you know where to find me and she left. I called the bartender serving drinks and took a glass a water, I won't eat anything  as I sip the water I spot king jerk looking as bad as possible I saw him heading toward me. I changed my expression to that of anger and wait for him. As he approach me he frowns with his usual smirk

"Hey cat Who invited you here"

"You know I have name and no one invites me,I just came"

He left and goes to the DJ and collects the microphone

"Hello everyone thank you all for coming I will like to make a piece of announcement"

I saw him looking at me straight in the eye with a smirk on his face, I felt nervous everybody is shouting his name Zion! Zion! Zion! 

I know he's up to something by the look on his face

I decided leave the party because I know he's gonna say something bad, as I took a step I suddenly heard him saying 

"Hey there where do you think you're going or are you afraid of what am going to say"

I stopped in my track I couldn't move I turned around and saw all eyes are on me

Shit I muttered.

I looked at him with fury in my eyes he held the speaker again

"Why are you quite or are you afraid I will tell everybody how you use to beg me for money" he said with a smirk on his face 

What did he mean I use to beg him for money? How dare him accuse me of such thing.

"Well you want to people to pity you with your fake tears"

I didn't even know there was tears in my eyes, until I touched my face and felt the tears  everybody started talking about me. I turned to leave as I felt embarrassed. 

How can he accused me of such thing 

I felt anger boil inside my vein just as I was about to give him a piece of my mind, I heard a mysterious voice.

"I don't think you're right"
