"Hey," he replied, sat down next to me and put his arm around my shoulder.
“Sven and I know each other from school. He was in my class and used to live around the corner from me, ”I said, so that Nick looked at Sven, who nodded with a smile.
Sven and I talked for a long time about the class - whether newcomers had come or left and whether everyone was still the same as before, then who I was still friends with and who he was still in contact with.
At some point Nick got bored with our conversation and sat down on the armchair he actually always sat on when we were here. Meanwhile he was chatting with his buddies and getting drunk again.

I took the train the next weekend because Nick had to work late at noon. I had just got out and ran down the stairs to the parking lot to wait for Nick. He had told me that he would pick me up here after work. Of course, he was almost twenty minutes late again.
I was sitting on the curb and was playing around with my cell phone when I suddenly heard screeching tires and a loud roaring engine. I stopped immediately and looked up. Then he came rushing around the corner, braked and stopped just a few meters in front of me so that the people who were also standing in the parking lot looked at him and shook their heads.
I got up slowly, took my bag and went to the car. When I opened the passenger door I heard loud music. I got in quickly, slammed the door loudly, threw my bag on the back seat and turned the music down first.
I looked at him so he was looking at me too.
“You don't have to stare at me like that! I know that I'm late I was stressed at work, ”he growled angrily at me.
I buckled up and he drove off.
"What do you mean: you had stress?" Hopefully not with his boss, because he could be glad that he had someone like that. He always supported Nick and, as far as I knew, was always on his side, even when he was late or not at work. Anyone else would have kicked him out long ago, Nick knew that too!
“Billy was stressed with a customer because he couldn't get a car ready. I took it on because Billy wasn't doing well for the past few days. And the fucking customer made me a mess. ”He sighed. His boss was not doing well and he took everything on himself? I wouldn't have thought that of him.
“What is your boss doing and why did you take it upon yourself? Didn't he say anything about it? ”He didn't answer me at first, but when I wanted to ask again, he said:“ Billy has stress at home with his family. And yes, he said something. He snapped at me because I said in front of the customer that it was my fault and it wasn't right. "I then yelled at him that the next time I would just stand by and say nothing more and he could take care of his shit himself." I stared at him with wide eyes. He hadn't said that to his boss, did he ?!

"Nothing. I took my things and said that I have to take care of my shit and left without him saying anything and now I don't feel like talking about it anymore. ”I nodded, but still had to say something . “Nick, you have to be careful! Billy is your boss! You can't just yell at him, even if you've done it right. ”Of course he didn't answer me.
After what seemed like an eternity of silence, I noticed that we were turning a street too early and I looked around, confused.
"Where are we going?" I looked at him questioningly.
"Don't worry, I'm not going to kidnap you," he grinned.
"Very funny! Where are we going? ”I asked angrily.
“I have to go to my house for a moment. Then we go to David. Don't worry. “What else did he have to get?
Just as I was about to inquire, he stopped in front of an old house.
"Wait here." I looked over at him as he opened the car door.
“You live here?” I asked. He had never taken me home with him since we met. Now that I thought about it, it was funny that he'd never taken me home with him. And that's exactly what surprised me now.
"Can't I come with you?" He turned to me and looked at me indecisively.
