2020-08-30 20:54:38In the evening I met Michele in a cocktail bar. While she was drinking three cocktails, I only drank one because it was way too strong for me. I didn't like drinks that tasted like alcohol, so I rarely drank. The first thing she wanted to know, of course, was if Nick would come with me. I told her that I wouldn't know until tomorrow whether he had time. Otherwise we only talked about her birthday.
At half past ten I made my way home. I was pretty tired already.
Fortunately no one was home. My aunt and uncle were gone until tomorrow afternoon. David was in the club with the others.
I unlocked the door of the house. My uncle had only had a new job for a year and was now making a very good income - as far as I had heard from my parents. That's why they lived in this big house.
I went into the open hallway. On the left it went to the dining room and through this into the kitchen. To my right was the bedroom. Straight ahead - next to the large staircase that led upwards - was the living room. The entire upper floor belonged to David. I went up the stairs. Right in front of me was another living room that only David and I used when I was here for the weekend. To the left was David's room. He could go to his bedroom from the hallway or the living room. To the right of the living room was a bathroom that only the two of us used. Next to it was the guest room, which had been my room for a few months. I had made it a little cozy. My aunt asked me to do it so that I could feel at home here. I had set it up in a similar way to my parents' house.
I opened the door of my room, went in and switched on the light - then the bedside lamp and the fairy lights on my bed. All the furniture was white. I hung the four-poster bed on the bedpost with colorful cloths, just like on the ceiling above the bed. My bed linen was dark purple and I had a few smaller pillows in brightly embroidered colors on the bed. A black seat cushion in the corner and a small desk with dark red vases on it. There were candles everywhere on the dessert and the windowsill.
When my uncle had seen the room like this, he said that was how he would imagine Jeannie's home in the magic lamp. David had laughingly agreed with him. But I felt so good.
I went to my dresser, which always had a few things of mine, as well as clothes, hair and make-up.
I got out some sleep, took off my shoes, and went to the bathroom to get ready for bed.
When I went back into the room, I turned off the light, took my cell phone out of my pocket, and put it on my dessert. Then I took a book from the desk.
It was called “The Family.” I had almost finished reading it.
Now I lay down in bed with it and read something in it until I got tired and went to sleep.
The hot water was really good for me. I hadn't been able to sleep that night because David was still coming here with his buddies and they weren't exactly quiet.
Suddenly I noticed that the bathroom door opened. I heard voices.
I quickly pulled the shower curtain to the side and craned my head forward so I could see who had just come into the bathroom. I was expecting David because he never knocked. He didn't care if he caught me in the toilet or just in my underwear, so for some time now I've only changed my clothes in my room. At least there was a knock. My aunt had such a stupid rule that no room in this house could be locked. I wouldn't really have cared about that, but when I saw that there wasn't even a key in the bathroom, I didn't care anymore.
I talked to my aunt about it and what was she doing?
