Chapter 6: Looming threat Pt. 1

In a dark cave lit with flames a monster stood over dozens of dead bodies.. it let out a deafening screech while destroying the pillars of rocks that held that structure.. it soon killed it's final victim then a purple beam of light shot of into the sky.. in the small town where oza was staying everyone was enjoying their nightly routine some drinking and some just casually strolling around.. there in the outskirts of town a portal flickered on and off but disappeared as soon as the townsfolk went to check on it.. in the inn where oza was staying at he felt a great sense of magical pressure

"Ali did you also sense that?" blue pixels appeared beside oza and ali appeared..

"Yes it was a strange feeling of unusual magic similar to that of an event dungeon.. Oza why is the story key glowing?"

oza looked to his side and yes the key was glowing a bright red but soon faded back to it's normal color..

"Okay.. we better deal with the story key first..I have a bad feeling if we delay it anymore some weird chaos would be the result."

"Yes, We should also talk with sir daniel.. or more like you talk and tell him you'd be going away for about a week to finish this quest."

"Great idea.. well then let's rest and wake me up bright and early."

ali nodded and soon turned into blue pixels and oza then went to sleep.. the next day oza was with sir daniel..

"So you have to go a trip for now oza?"

"yeah it may seem weird."

"Oh no worries me and the townsfolk will miss ya for sure."

"It's not like i'm going away forever sir."

"Well then i wish you safe travels oza."

"Thank you very much sir."

Oza left and bid everyone he came across good bye but a little boy ran up to him and hugged his leg...

"Oza don't go!" oza smiled and patted the little boy on the head..

"Hey tim it's not like i'll be gone forever.."

"No! You have to stay!" then an older woman came running after tim..

"Timothy! Mr. Oza needs to leave let go of him this instance!" she said but tim was being stubborn so oza did what he needed to do..

"It's okay Mrs. Watson... Hey tim when i get back i'll make sure to play with you and i'll bring a souvenir deal?"

"You promise?" He held out his pinky and oza smiled..

"I promise." He locked his pinky with tim's and soon left with tim waving him goodbye

"You look much.. happier. you don't have that grumpy brow on your face.."

"I guess.. the town and the people in it are all friendly.. makes me feel at home.. Well then how do i use this thing."

before ali could answer just outside the town a portal appeared right in front of oza who just turned the key like inserting it in a door lock.. the key was absorbed and a pop up appeared..

Oza checked his armor and weapons and then nodded..

"Well then let's get going."

Ali nodded and they both entered the portal a flash of blue light was seen but soon faded and they were now in a different place than before.. oza looked around and saw he was in a city of some sorts..

"It looks like their's a festival going on.. and it looks like one of those old time fantasy settings." a quest pop up then appeared..

"Which girl.. I hate how vague some quest are."

"Oza look."

Oza directed his attention to the gathering of people which looked like the plaza.. oza and ali made their way there and saw a man standing on the stage and with him a beautiful red haired girl and they both stood in front of a sword in a stone..

"Seems like one of those quest.. he who is worthy shall take this quest and yadda yadda" ali chuckled and soon the man introduced what the whole commotion was about

"those of you who are confident in their physical strength please come forward! Come! Who is the hero among us who can pull the mighty sword from it's resting place!"

"Sounds kinda fishy."

"Well what else can we do? This is the best lead we have."

"Only the chosen one can pull the legendary sword from this stone the prophecy declares the divine healer beside me will bless the one worthy of claiming it additionally! We are inviting the winner on an all expenses paid trip around the world!"

"Okay this seems pretty interesting."

"Now who ever may want to give this a try please step forward."

No one was raising there hand so oza did.. he was called up on the stage but before that he was getting stairs from men and women alike..

"Now sir what is your name?"

"Oza shizaki."

"It's nice to meet you oza my name is Ori and this beauty beside me is gabriela.. Now if you may go and try your luck."

"Alright then.."

He walked up to the sword and he felt the immense magic coming off it but then in a bright gold flash of light the stone holding the sword was destroyed and oza had gotten the sword.. everyone who was watching cheered him on then a pop up appeared..

he dismissed the pop up and turned towards ori and gabriela but the what caught him off guard was being tackled into a hug by gabriela...

"You.. i knew you'd come back.. my arthur.."

"Uhhhh.."

"I knew you'd find your way back.." oza uncomfortable and slight felt embarrassed lightly pushed gabriela away

"Listen i appreciate the affection but.. i'm oza." gabriela shook her head but stayed silent.. ori then went to the front..

"And that concludes our little event! Our winner is oza shizaki! let's give him another round of applause!"

Everyone clapped and soon the crowd dispersed and enjoyed the whole festival.. but then ori pulled oza aside along with gabriela and ali soon followed.. they arrived to an abandoned church just outside the city..

"Listen oza.. We need you." oza sighed and replied..

"I knew this was to good to be true.. so what do you two need me for?" gabriela then answered..

"I need your help going back to the castle ruins.. and you who wields the divine invader sword.. please help me avenge my loved ones."

Oza stunned just looked at the two shaking his head and looking down with a small smile..

"No rest for the wicked.. so now.. explain everything"
