Clement paced down his private office. He just couldn't believe that a mere female journalist had indeed manoeuvred his best secret agents. How did a mere journalist with no military expertise murder the most scary mountain on the police force. He knew one thing for certain. As long as she still lived, she was a national threat and something must be done to keep her silent. Something really drastic...
"Damn it!" He knocked over the glass table in front of him. Who the heck was this girl?
"Sir, can I come in?" interrupted Sam, the youngest cop on the uniform with the Lagos Police Force (LPF). Sam has been the bright star at the police academy and his main interest had been to work in the homicide division and unravel mysterious cases. He was an addict fan of CSI Miami, one of the major reasons he had joined the LPF. But this was no Miami apparently and he had to learn the systematic bureaucratic pattern of the police force. Infact, the first law which he had learned in the academy was outright allegiance and obedience to the "oga at the top". This was exactly why he was here at the moment.
Clement peered at him inquisitively while he continued "You sent for me, sir" young Sam got the courage to speak up.
"Oh yeah!" Clement was surprised.
Wait a minute. Was this person standing in front of him really the one he had sent for.
Clement took another look at his profile. It was only then, he saw the resemblance between the profile and young Sam.
"Oh my!" Clement feigned a smile "I did send for you".
Sam let out a deep silent breath in relief. He didn't want anything to get in his way of promotion. He was an ambitious young man who knew that walking the ladder up the police force had to do with "boot licking". He had no intention of messing up stuff with his superiors, especially not the IGP standing in front of him.
"Sit down, boy" Clement smiled. Sam took the seat beside him while the IGP continued to pace around slowly around his office. Once in a while, he stole a glance at Sam. It was a look which Sam had known very well. The same way that most people stared at him in utter disbelief that they couldn't trust him on a critical mission because he would surely fail. Sam cursed his face for looking so fragile and innocent. If only they could look into his heart and see how dark it was...see what he had done.
"Do you know why the leopard is one of the greatest hunters in the jungle?" Clement let out while staring outside the window. Sam had this thirst to impress his superior with his smart brains.
"Well, sir" he started "the leopard is swift and very fast..."
Clement laughed swiftly. It was a laugh that reminded young Sam of his own stupidity and drove him to silence. He was already ruining this opportunity by revealing his immaturity. Clement took slow steps close to Sam, then patted his shoulders softly "the leopard is always hungry, boy". Sam was astonished at the simple answer to such a complex question.
"Are you hungry, Sam?" Clement interrupted his thoughts. As surprised as he found himself, Sam couldn't help but nod. It was a hunger that roved his veins since he became a uniformed man in the LPF. Not just for food, but to unravel cases and take care of enemies of the state.
"Reports show you are the best shooter in the LPF"
"Sir..." he was clearly lost. Had he been here all along for his gun skills and not his detective wits.
"You aced the LPF test scores for two continuous sessions" Clement was staring at the file "Isn't that right?"
"Yes sir, I did" Sam replied, still confused at what target test scores had anything to do with why he had been sent here.
"We need you to be of service to your country" a pause "you have to take care of a national threat"
Sam nodded in affirmation. Clement dropped a file on his thighs puffing a cigarette in his office which had been lying on the table. "This is a very classified top secret mission" a pause "this is all you need to know" he pointed at the file lying on Sam's thigh and as if he knew what was on the young cops mind. He went closer to him then bent down and puffed the cigarette once more "No more questions" and he meant it...

If he had lasers in those eyes, he would shoot anyone standing in front of him.Was this a real situation of incompetency in the LPF?And even if it was as a result of unskilled manpower in the ranks of the police force. The Truth About Tuesday Episode 7. Judi Series Season 1The last Episode.@AlexanderwritesWhen Judi stood up, the clouds were covered by the dim stars. She made her way out of the church and trudged on to the street of Agor. She couldn’t go back home. They would probably be waiting for her... waiting to take her out and she was deeply hurt. Her wrist watch was already broken and the shards stuck on her hands. She took it out but she didn’t feel the pain. All she felt was the throbbing headache almost driving her crazy. She kept on going and dragging her feet towards the street of Agor. Many people stared at her as if she was probably another mad young lady that had been used up for ritual by her 419 boyfriend. When Judi got to the door, she didn’t know if she could trust this person. They were not really friends but
