Chapter 8

OLIVIA'S POV

I finally earned myself a permanent chair, at the senior's table, aka the golden dining table. 

The golden table was owned by Jayden and Mimi, it was customized for them, it was a really long table and it could contain just twenty students. Twenty special students.

It was occupied by every one that connected to the Cokers'. (Mimi, Jayden and their cousins) and few friends. I got a seat there because I was friends with Miranda. 

It was a very rare opportunity, not everybody could get a seat there, so those who sat there were like celebrities.

I was sitting beside Bamidele and opposite Jayden, we were engaging in a game of 'Would you rather', and I was having fun.

"Jayden, would you rather get back with your ex girlfriend or have a plane crash?" Natasha asked, giggling.

Seductively giving his lips a quick lick, "Which of them? Because I have a particular set that I still like." He asked, overflowing with pride.

"Your recent ex." Natasha responded. 

"In a case of imagination, I'll have a plane crash, but in a case of reality, I'll get back with her." He rolled his eyes.

We all laughed.

"Would you rather be gay or do porn?" Katie asked Jason.

"God forbid! It's not like any one is good oh! But I would rather do porn, afterall I'll be having free sex." Was Jason's reply. 

Jayden chuckled while the rest of us laughed, these guys were really fun to hang around with.

"Seniors, good afternoon." A boy in shorts, and short sleeves, probably from probably a junior grade, greeted.

"Good afternoon." We chorused 

"Mr Ajayi said I should call all the prefects."

"Tell him we're coming." Katie said whilst rolling her eyes.

Darnell, Jason, Jayden, Bamidele, and David (the decent one) were all prefects. 

Jayden was the head boy while Bamidele was the assistant. Darnell was the head girl while Karen (one of Jayden's ex) was the assistant head girl. Jason was the Health prefect while Mercy (one of Jayden's ex) was the assistant Health prefect. I really don't know the position that David occupies, he was just too quiet, compared to his cousins.

I thought only good students got to be prefect, I don't know if the teachers can't see how fucked up they all are. 

They are literally mad in this school .

We —SS2— students won't get our prefectship until next term, that'll be when the SS3 students would start preparing for their external exams.

All the prefects on our table left and that ended our game. My clique and I had finished eating, so we left the cafeteria right after they left.

"So what's between you and Dele?" Natasha suddenly asked as we were walking to our class.

"We are just friends." I nonchalantly answered. 

They all stopped, like what I said was a bomb to their brains. 

"Friends that want to fuck each other?" Katie asked in a 'duh' tone.

"I don't know what he thinks about me, but he's my friend." I said, not smiling.

Why do I sound stupid, right now? 

"You needed to have seen his eyes when you were grinding on him, when you were dancing with him and when you left to God knows where." Katie disclosed.

"I was only having fun and nothing else was attached." I replied.

"Fun? That was more than fun, I mean that guy wants you so bad." Katie stated, almost yelling.

"The way he looks at you when you're not looking." Natasha said in a dreamy voice.

"Your point?" I bluntly asked. 

"It's either he likes you or he wants to fuck you " Katie finally finished.

"All this ones that you guys are saying, I really didn't notice anything. She was just having casual fun." Natalie added, more like defended.

"What does this one know sef?" Natasha asked no one in particular.

"She even pecked him sef, before she left." Katie pointed out.

"What's wrong with you guys nau?" Mimi finally spoke. My saviour. "If he wants to have sex with her, how's that your business? That guy fūcks literally everything, he's full of tricks." She hissed and pulled me along, and Natalie followed immediately.

Katie and Natasha have their own problems, they aren't really my friends sha.

"Don't mind them, okay?" Mimi said, as soon as we were inches away from them.

"I really don't get it, what's their problem?" I asked rolling my eyes, "I don't mean to be offensive or anything but I don't like the way they think. " I avowed angrily.

"Yea, even me. Katie used to be Dele's girl, but they split when Dele cheated." Natalie revealed. 

"She really didn't want to break up, but her friends and Natasha pumped the break up idea in her head, so immediately they broke up, Natasha started being friends with him. The both of them are really weird human beings sha." Mimi added.

"So basically, Katie kinda wants her ex back while my sister wants him to date her. It's so stupid that they decided to choose Dele." She shook her head.

"Like, we have Kenneth, Tomisin, George, Afam, Toby, just name those hot guys in our class, it really doesn't have to be one guy in SS3." Mimi ranted in annoyance.

I chuckled.

When Miranda got mad I never took her serious, because she was much of a joker. 

We finally got to class and we settled down on our seats. I decided to open my locker and bring out the necessary items that I needed for the next class.

I got out my Math textbook, I opened it and flipped through the pages, when something catches my eyes. A peach coloured, fancy memo note laid right there in the middle of the book.

I quickly closed it so Mimi and Natalie wouldn't notice, and then quietly kept it in my bag. I made a decision to read it at home.

Ding ding ding. 

"Submit your assignment." Our maths teacher stormed into the class.

Did she just appear into the class?

"Mrs Robinson!" A voice shouted from the back row, I turned my head and I saw Izzy, raising her right hand.

"Izzy, what is it?" Mrs Robinson snapped at her.

"I did my assignment but I think I forgot it at home."

I rolled my eyes. Does that trick still work?  

"I want to see your assignment, first thing tomorrow!" She instructed, keeping up with her stern face.

"Okay ma."

"Miss Peters, come and distribute your last test paper." I stood up like a boss and walked to the front of the class.

Mrs Robinson was my favourite teacher and I was her favourite student. She was like my school mom. Duh.

I distributed the test results, and as usual, I got the highest point while my rival, Bella, got the lowest. 

"Bella, see me after this class." She ordered, as an embarrassed Bella murmured.

She wrote boldly on the board. "New topic--" 

I wasn't listening to her, my mind was on the memo in my text book, I just wanted read it badly, I wanted to know who sent it.
