That will be more interesting than expected ..." he muttered and suddenly became serious.

"May! Kev! "

The twins suddenly appeared before him and bowed.

"You called?" They muttered in unison, looking up. Lucifer nodded, now with a blank face.

"Yes. Prepare a room. We have visitors."

Kev, a skinny fellow with a stern face screwed up his brown eyes.

"May I take the liberty of asking who it is?"

Again the devil's lips twitched.

"It is the descendant of an archangel."

I couldn't suppress a growl. Of course I didn't like showing myself to the devil like that, but worrying about Nyria put everything else in the shade. Thank the Lord that Lucifer had made a room available. I don't know what else I would have done. My own life seemed worthless in contrast to Nyrias. What would happen if her powers fell into the wrong hands? I didn't even dare to think about it. When I got back into the bedroom, the girl was pacing up and down. She was apparently just as excited as I was.

“Do you have everything?” I said, tearing her out of her thoughts. She winced.

"Y-yes, I think so," she mumbled and looked at me uncertainly.

"Good, come on then," I replied, reaching out to her. She grabbed my hand with a smile, but the smile seemed forced, so I didn't return it. Her gaze was also worried, probably just like mine.

"Where are we going?" She asked softly. But shortly after she asked this question we found ourselves in the underworld. She correctly interpreted the surroundings and looked up at me again.

"You asked Lucifer for help again?" She breathed worriedly. I nodded silently, which raised her eyebrows.

"Do you really think that was a good idea?" She whispered.

"We have no other option.", I replied, then we were already facing the devil. Nyria immediately put her blank mask back on. Lucifer paid no attention to me, but instead turned his attention directly to the woman next to me.

"So Ezekiel has made himself known to you?" He broke the silence after a few moments. Nyria nodded.

"An explanation would be nice," the powerful man growled.

Nyria hesitated a moment, then shook her head in confusion.

“He ... he didn't look like an enemy at first. He even pretended to be a friend. I got louder, only then did he reveal himself. ", She explained shortly and flatly. Lucifer and I exchanged a look.

"Looks like he wants to win you over," the devil stated and averted his gaze from me.

"So you think he doesn't like the fact that she is with me all the time?" I interfered. His black eyes narrowed.

“I can't say that exactly. He's probably divided about it. Maybe he suspects that you are promoting their skills and regards this as positive. Or he knows what danger you really pose and will try to incite the little one against you. ", He spoke patiently. I glanced at the girl. She grimaced and now spoke up again.

"He wouldn't be able to do that," she hissed. It didn't escape my eyes that Lucifer tried to hide a smile.

“I knew you would say that, little one. But do not think that Ezekiel would not be a reasonable opponent! "

Nyria rolled her eyes and sighed theatrically.

"So you want me to be scared of him, just like you?" She hissed. I gritted my teeth. That Lucifer let go of this disrespect surprised me, and tremendously. A snort could be heard from the devil.

"I can see you're keeping your fear to yourself," he muttered and then got louder again.

“All right, I allow you to stay here. However, you will have to expect to meet me several times, so you better pay attention to your choice of words, Nyria! "

The young woman snorted disparagingly. She didn't take the threat seriously, but I knew she would keep those words in mind. The corners of my mouth twitched, but I looked down so no one could see it.

"May! Kev! ”Lucifer shouted.

Amazingly, Nyria didn't flinch this time. I wondered why that was. Maybe she really wasn't afraid of the devil = Even if this could prove to be a mistake again ... Now I couldn't help but smile. How proud I was of her! And what respect I had for her! Did she know that? Probably not. Two young looking demons appeared in the hall. Judging by their appearance, apparently twins, a girl and a boy. With lowered eyes, the two now stood before the devil.

“Escorted the young woman to her room. Zayn, you stay with me. “, Lucifer said and looked at us one after the other. Nyria fixed her gaze on me and suddenly it was as if a tender hand was touching my heart. My eyes narrowed. Was she just trying to "decipher" my feelings? Not that I managed to prevent it, but I let her have it. Amazingly, through this connection, I was also able to recognize their feelings. This realization came over me after a split second. She was completely insecure, was afraid of what was to come and didn’t want to be left alone at this moment. Something in me became cloudy, but then I took a deep breath and let it be known a little more what I was feeling. In my mind I assured her that everything would be fine. I had deep faith in her and would not let her down in the future either. And maybe those things made you smile at that moment?

I was scared when I thought about what was still to come, but the deep trust that Zayn had in me made me forget this fear. Everything I had just read inside made me smile! The faint breath of his thoughts reached me. He would have loved to pull me into his arms and comfort me, but that would have to wait until we were among us. There was no way he would be such a sight for Lucifer! A small part of me was hurt, but the rest could understand. Zayn would thus offer a target and he did not want to risk that. My smile faded.

"See you later." I mouthed silently and let the twins lead me out of the room. When I turned away from Zayn, I inconspicuously brushed his hand with my fingers. Just this little touch gave me comfort. I wasn't alone and I never would be! After a few minutes the girl, May, the boy, Kev, and I were walking down a long hallway. Neither of us had said a word so far, but now the boy with the red-blonde hair broke the silence.

"What's your name, woman?" He growled annoyed.

“Don't call me woman. My name is Nyria. ”I replied coldly. I couldn't hide the fact that the two of them shivered in front of me.

"A name as extraordinary as your eyes.", The boy replied, not quite so annoyed.

"I cant hear it anymore. But thanks. ”I mumbled. Now I was annoyed. There hasn't been a single person who hasn't found the color of my eyes incredible. I didn't even know how to react to all the comments, if not annoyed.

"Are you the descendant of an archangel?"

I listened up. These words came from May. I had barely understood them, apparently she was afraid. Or she was just shy, who knows.

"Yes, unfortunately." I answered quietly, yet friendly. For a short time I would be able to take off fragments of my mask. At least I hoped. The girl looked over her shoulder in amazement.

"Why unfortunately? I don't know what skills you are granted, but not having them would be a shame, wouldn't it? "

There was disbelief in her voice. Somehow I felt sympathy for the girl, which is why I sighed softly.

  • Meeting A Stranger (Complete✔)   Epilogue

Laughing, she gouged out his eyes, cut off his ears and nose, drilled holes in his skull and then peeled off his skin. Everything alive. Both the ground and herself were marked with blood in the end."I hope I never have to kill anyone again," she said to her husband one evening in the shower."Because it was so horrible for you?" He replied. She had shaken her head and rested her head on his chest."No. Because it was so much fun. "Sighing, I looked over the land, which shone in a rich green. Spring had come. The fifth that I have already seen here. And even though I've been here for so long, I still couldn't get enough of the beauty of heaven. Yes, I lived here now. This was my new home. I still couldn't believe what had happened after the fight with Nereus. Zayn had actually been out to start another fight, the archangels had realized that too. You were understanding. And now? Today there were no more archangels. No, they had

  • Meeting A Stranger (Complete✔)   Not over yet

With rattling breath, I tried to calm myself down. We'd already done almost all of them and that in less than a quarter of an hour. Most of them were dead and you could see that from me and the others. We were covered in blood and wounds, but everyone had already healed. So while we were standing here suddenly there was a high and high-pitched scream. It was only then that I realized that Nyria was not near me. And although this was the first time I heard this kind of scream, I knew immediately who it was from. Only a few minutes passed before she stood in the middle of the hall. Her top was torn, there was a long and incredibly deep cut in her abdominal wall and she was just soaked with all the blood. With her eyes she looked for me. She was trembling, could barely stand on her feet. The faster I had to react. I ran to her, pulled her into my arms and brushed the sweat-sticky hair from her forehead. She almost lost her balance. She allowed herself to be in my arms for

  • Meeting A Stranger (Complete✔)   Blood

Ten minutes had passed, but in those ten minutes the Archangels' Hall had become a battlefield. Blood was spreading on the floor and I, too, had suffered quite a bit. I did not feel well. All attacks were aimed at me, and although this seemed like my fight, everyone else was fighting. They all defended me, did not let anyone approach me, but I was full of blood. It wasn't my own. I was not disgusted, but I felt sorry for the fallen. What had Nereus told the fallen that made them just throw themselves into danger? Nereus wanted me dead, so what use was it all? What would their reward have been? I looked around in the fray, avoiding a severed hand. I actually felt sorry for the fallen. I mean, I wouldn't be keen on a missing hand. Even Zayn was engrossed in a fight with them. He was hurt. A laceration was clearly visible on his temple. I almost smiled. It reminded me of how I found him. Injured in an alley. Ingrateful and naughty. Arrogant and without scruples. Nobody paid any attenti

Say, are you going to interfere?" She asked softly. He almost got the impression that she was the most vulnerable woman in the universe. Why hadn't he noticed earlier how pretty she really was? Lucifer studied her closely. In these long, blonde curls that shimmered like gold, he would have loved to dig with his hands. Her big blue eyes looked at him almost fearfully. She didn't look like an angel, no, nowhere near. She could have been a fairy. Petite, fragile and beautiful. But behind this beautiful mask sat an archangel. So she too could become something that was anything but beautiful. Still ... he recognized the true essence in her. The helpless woman who just wanted to be protected. He blinked. It's been silent for far too long.“If Nereus gets into debt within the two days, then I definitely won't sit still. If nothing happens, you will not see me again. "Chest rose and stretched.“I'm sorry, but that's all too much for me. Maybe a

I didn't like these pejorative looks at all."Just imagine before you talk to me like that," I said now. Suddenly the one with the unusual eyes smiled.“Little one, I like you. I bet you belong to Zayn. "I liked his tone of voice. I dropped my mask and smiled."Right. I am Nyria. ", I replied and held out my hand to him.Contrary to my expectations, his handshake was gentle and it seemed to me that he could understand why I was so dismissive in the first place.“I'm Trae, I'm happy. Behind me are Gaven, Jaze, and Kuja. We are ghouls. "I almost grimaced at his words. Ghouls? Wasn't that body eater? Kind of disgusting ... I felt a gentle breath inside. It was Zayn who wanted to find out how I was feeling. A soft laugh reached my ears. Apparently he found my reaction funny."So you are the little Nephilim that everyone is after.", The ghoul with the black eyes spoke up. It was Jaze."Everyone is af

“Little one, you are incorrigible. Be that as it may, I would advise against just marching in there. Give them five days. If they haven't stopped Nereus by then, you can act. Find some reliable people. They should be good fighters because no one can say how the guardian angels will react when they see you. It is quite possible that they believe that you would want to snatch the kingdom of heaven. "I only understood the station and cocked my head."What are Guardian Angels, please?" I asked and looked at Zayn expectantly. His hand poked my side briefly.“Guardian angels are not far below the archangels. They are the protectors, make sure that everyone obeys the law and nobody causes trouble. They protect the archangels and should they notice an uninvited guest in heaven, he can be prepared for something. Either the intruder is tortured and thrown into the dungeon, or he ends up right at Lucifer's feet. "Amused by the choice of words, th
