UNEXPECTED VISITOR

LIZZY’S POV

I was back at my house, after the talk about my parents and his, we had pizza since the delivery guy decided to arrive.

He was so easy to talk too like a longtime friend.

He told me all about his former school and I could see just how much he missed it in his eyes.

Once I entered inside, I walked into the kitchen straight away to finally take my cookies.

Just how much exercise will I do tomorrow to burn off all the calories and also lots of diet, but it would be worth it.

I brought out the bowl from the fridge and sat on a bar stool with it on the counter.

“you know, you will have to burn the calories, right?”

I looked at my mum who was standing by the doorway looking at me with a smile on her face. I took most of my beauty from my mum.

She was a real beauty herself with her still hourglass shape and she could easily pass for someone in her late twenties or early thirties.

Always putting a lot of effort to stay fit.

She was a little strong earlier so she could not attend the red-carpet show. If she had she would have made such a big entrance.

I was not upset with her for making me live with the paparazzi right from the start. I learnt to accept her and this lifestyle even though it was always choking and really stressful.

“I know mum, but it’s worth it.”

She chuckled and walked towards the fridge. She opened it and brought out a bottle of water.

“so how is our neighbor and do not argue. He is cute.”

She said like a teenager.

I chuckled,

“he’s friendly and we are friends now.”

“wow, so fast.”

“yep mum. Where is Maria?”

Maria is our house maid or nanny. She was like a second mum and she has been here with me in this house since I can remember.

“she took a leave. she will be back next week.”

I nodded and stood up from the bar stool with my now empty bowl of cookie.

“thanks for the cookies mum, goodnight.”

“goodnight sweetie.”

She walked closer and dropped a sloppy kiss on my cheek.

“mum!” I groaned with a smile still on my face.

I walked out of the kitchen rubbing my face clean.

   After taking the stairs, I got to my room. I took a shower in my En-suite bathroom and changed to my hello kitty pajamas. It was a very short shorts and a matching tank top.

I stood in front of my window staring at the dark room opposite me.

My house has three floors, first one for my mum. Filled with her workshop and room filled equipment.

Second was for me and third and final floor was for my dad.

My floor had a theatre, changing room, my bedroom, my walk-in closet, my guest bedroom which comes in handy during girl’s night, and also a personal sitting room which was a gist room during sleepovers.

My floor was really packed obviously.

I was not really sure if Noah was sleeping in the second floor of his house and that meant my privacy was still in check.

With that in my mind, I laid back on my queen-sized bed which was so soft like the cloud.

This is literally the best way to end a stressful, embarrassing and fun day.

I turned in my bed using my pillow to cover my face from the shining sun rays. Once I could not take it, I sat down straight in my bed glaring at the culprit, obviously my mum.

“mum.” I groaned out since she just ended a wonderful dream.

“what? Do you know the time?”

She asked with her hands on her tiny waist.

“No?”

I asked rubbing my face and praying for her to leave so I would sleep back.

“it is 11:30 and you are still sleeping your ass out.”

I was on my holiday for crying out loud, I have to sleep now to make up for the next couple of nights.

“mum, I want to rest before school resumes.”

“well is 11:30 not enough?”

I turned to my side and grabbed my phone from the bedside table.

“Why did you wake me up mum?”

“for breakfast, it will be cold if you do not eat it now.”

It’s not like I can’t always warm it and I cringed knowing it was probably some salad or other vegetables mixed together.

“okay.”

I muttered; it is not like I had any other choice.

“Do you need more uniforms?”

Did she just ask that question?

She literally made a full wardrobe filled with different set of my uniforms.

I did not need more.

“mum, you made a closet filled with my uniforms saying I should not repeat one. I do not need a new set.”

She pouted,

“honey, you just look too good in that uniform.”

“I know.”

“I have a meeting at 12:30, so let us go downstairs together. I do not want you missing another set of breakfast.”

I sighed, and finally stood up from the bed.

We walked downstairs together with her still asking if I needed more uniform or any other thing.

She seemed more excited than I. I know it was a new school year, the last one but it just seemed like a normal thing for me.

Once we got to the very big dining room which always feels empty mum made sure I ate at least two spoonsful of the salad before leaving for her meeting.

Once she was gone, I pinched the food further before dropping it.

Not even five minutes after the bell rang again.

Shit!

I stood up to open the door, what did she forget this time?

“what did you forget this time mum?”

Except this time, it was not my mum ringing the bell again or forgetting her important documents,

It was my handsome neighbor next door.
