DATE WITH COUSIN

LIZZY’S POV

I looked at the hot guy in front of me.

His gaze was taking my body all in, before looking me dead in the eye.

“good morning, I came to tell your mum I enjoyed her cookies but looks like I found another thing.”

He said with a big smirk plastered on his face.

I looked down following his gaze to my body to see that I was still in my hello kitty pajamas.

Double shit!

“you perv.”

I said running up the stairs not wanting to stress myself with thoughts about how my butt must be while running.

Once I got upstairs, I took a quick shower and grabbed a simple gown to wear.

I went downstairs since I did not want to delay my guest.

Once I got down, I saw he was already seated watching a show on my TV.

“I see you are already making yourself feel at home.”

I dropped on the chair beside him.

I could feel his eyes on me,

“I kinda liked the other one better.”

He said in a teasing voice making me chuckle.

“oh, shut up.”

We both laughed at that, how I wish I could hear him laugh every time for me.

I should probably stop these bad thoughts.

I asked since he had trouble recognizing me. Maybe he has not seen any of my movies yet.

“yeah sure.”

I broke into a smile and took him to my theatre which was upstairs.

I prepared two bowls of popcorn for both of us and handed one to him before playing one of my favorite movies of myself.

“I have seen this movie before. And I loved it.”

I blushed,

So, he has watched one of my movies and loved it!

“thanks.”

I said with a smile which he returned  with another one of his.

Wait, so he knows me too,

“you knew me when you saw me, you recognized me right?”

I gasped in surprise.

“what, no. I did not, I later did when I entered inside.”

“you made me embarrass myself.”

I exclaimed.

“what? You came to me first.”

I scoffed at that,

“wow, just wow.”

He chuckled and faced the large screen back before deciding to break the silence again.

“you look more beautiful up close than in the movies.”

Was his mission here to flutter me? If it was it was already working because I was sure I was already looking like a tomato.

“thanks. So where did you watch it?”

“on one of my dates with……”

I cut him off,

“oh.”

I did not know why I felt angry or jealous about someone I just met just yesterday.

“Are you? Never mind anyway I meant date with my younger cousin.”

And here am I thinking it was with his girlfriend or someone he was intimidate with.

“wow, that’s nice.”

“yeah and she really likes you, you are like her role model or something.”

I can not believe a little girl thinks of me as her role model. I felt so happy at that moment. I had people looking up to me, even though I knew that before, hearing it like this feels more surreal.

“Really? That’s great, can I meet her?”

“you will have to wait for the winter holiday, she is spending it with me since I am her favorite cousin.”

He said it like it was a very big title.

I was not really close with my cousins, considering that they were older and were busy with their own lives. So, hearing him talk like this made me felt like I was missing in a way.

“that is cute, and that seems like you, finding way to being everyone’s favorite.”

“you think so?”

He asked with a smirk which I copied,

“I know so. Since you have watched this movie before would you like to play chess?”

“that game always gets me thinking hard and I am not in the mood for that, what about monopoly?”

I love monopoly.

“sure, get ready to be beaten.”

“Really? I know you don’t know so I will tell you now that you are talking the master.”

I chuckled,

“then I am the grand master!”

I exclaimed before bringing out the box out from the game’s drawer.

“Don’t tell me you did it?”

I gasped.

Fifteen minutes into the game with me winning of course got us talking about bad experiences we had during truth or dare.

That game never ends well.

“I did.”

He said sheepishly with a grin, nodding his head to confirm it.

“Oh My God! Someone shut the front door.”

He laughed at my response,

But seriously how could he have stripped even without under wears at a party.

“were you drunk?”

“something like that and I don’t back down on a dare.”

He added a wink making me chuckle.

“that was crazy.”

“I know right. Every once in a while, everyone does crazy things.”

“Not me.”

I argued which he just scoffed too.

“Come on don’t lie.”

He teased,

“oh, shut up.”

He did not stop giving me that knowing look making me groan before finally admitting.

I finally admitted and he gave me a I told you so.

“Do you want to know why I am comfortable with you?”

I looked at him for a moment,

“sure.”

“you are not bothered by my looks, you don’t gawk at me or touch me, you know things like that, and I really like that.”

He ended with a grin.

Only if he knew all the bad thoughts in my mind right now. And I have lots of self- restraint and control right now.

But he does not need to know that.

“well, you too. You don’t necessarily flirt with me or try to get in my pants or whatever else bad boy do.”

He smirked, does his mouth not ache with that smirk?

“why do you think I am a bad boy?”

He asked,

Really, did he have to ask that. His whole look made him look like one before we add personality.

“your different leather jacket, your motorbike, your smirk, your whole dressing style. Let’s not go to personality.”

“okay, okay. I am a bad boy, but I am really smart too.”

“really? Bad boy is a nerd.”

“shut up.”

I laughed more making him roll his eyes.

“are you a player too?”

He looked at me, looking away from the board.

“I do not know, why do you ask?”

“nothing, I can just find out when we resume so just tell me.”

His bluish-gray eyes studied me maybe trying to weigh the options.

I avoided his gaze; I did not want to get caught staring or more like drowning his eyes that looked like a deep sea again.

“I am not a player; I do not do that. Like play girls or so we just enjoy each other’s companies like after a party and before that I always tell them that it is a one-night thing.”

He said winking and that made my heart flutter for reasons not known to me.

“so, you have a boyfriend?”

He asked with a raised eyebrow.

“no, I only had one before, he was a player and I thought, I thought I could change him, you know? But he still cheated on me because in his words, I did not give him what he wanted.”

“oh.”

“yeah, so since then I have a hard time trusting someone.”

I said truthfully. I still remember walking up to that cheating bastard in bed with another person and it really broke me.

“he does not deserve you and he is a fool for letting you go.”

He said and this time I did not avoid that eyes, I looked at it or more like stared at it wondering how his eyes could be in that color.

“hey.”

He called bringing me out of my thoughts. He caught me again. I cleared my throats to clear my embarrassment.

“yeah, so do you have a girlfriend.”

“No but I am single and searching.”

He smirked with a wink.

“that makes the both of us then.”

single and searching, huh?
