WELCOME TO THE ROYALS

LIZZY’S POV

I groaned again silently begging the annoying alarm to stop its work.

But it seemed so determined to work, to carry out its activities for the day and that led me to grab a pillow and place them over me ears.

But the alarm got louder if that was even possible.

Annoyed,

I sat straight and turned off the alarm in annoyance.

I was not always a morning person, and right now the alarm made me more pissed off.

I turned on my side and grabbed my phone from my bedside table.

After checking the time and my new messages, I finally got up from the bed.

I stretched and did my work out plan for the morning as instructed by my fitness instructor.

Once I was done with that, I entered my bathroom and took a long and relaxing shower. I made sure my strawberry flavored shampoo got through to my long blonde hair.

After thirty minutes of bathing, I stepped out of the bathroom and into my changing room.

I opened the closet that was specially made and filled with my uniforms in courtesy of my lovely mum.

I brought out one of my Monday’s uniform, we had different dress code and color for each day.

I sat on my pink feathery, over comfortable chair in front of my vanity table.

I straightened my long hair making it longer. I should probably trim it soon. it was slowly becoming a headache being so long like this.

I added a little bit of mascara and a little lip gloss while listening to my playlist and singing along.

Once I was done with the simple makeup, I put on my uniform.

It was a deep red short flare skirt which reached my thigh leaving my long legs on show. I added my white fitted shorthand shirt to it.

When I was done with that,

I wore my white heel sneaker, grabbed my bag and phone before leaving my room.

Once I got down,

“Sweetie!”

Mum called from the kitchen.

Time to eat salad again.

I walked towards the kitchen expecting to find only mum only to see Maria there too. I hugged her tight immediately making her chuckle.

“easy there, kid.”

She said in her tiny voice.

“Lizzy don’t fall poor Maria down.”

Mum said making me pull out from the hug. I could never fall Maria down with her being close to five times bigger than me. I always loved lying on her when I was young cause her body always felt so soft.

“I am just so happy to see her.”

I said with a pout making my mum drag my cheeks.

“how have you been Lizzy? I saw your new movie.”

“really?”

I asked with my mouth full.

Thankfully I was not having any salad for breakfast today but instead a simple sandwich. Maria’s special one.

“won’t you be late for school. You woke up late.”

Mum said looking at the clock.

I followed her gaze and realized that she was right. Any more delay and I would be late.

I stood up from the bar stool, gave mum and Maria a hug before walking out with my pink bag on my back.

I drove out of the compound in my pink Ferrari, my lovely baby only to see Noah standing beside his black Bugatti waving his hands at me.

I parked my car and stepped out to meet him in front of his.

His car looked so hot, and manly well like him.

Lizzy shut up!

I took a good look at him.

He was wearing a deep red fitted trousers, it looked like they made it specially for him. He added his white long hand shirt with a black leather jacket on top.

Does he not feel any heat with that jacket?

And well to finish of his looks he wore a black Nike sneaker.

He looked good to sum it up. Too good.

I saw his mouths move but I could not hear anything.

I shook my head and faced his back, my face red with embarrassment when he seemed to have caught up with what happened.

And if has not, the smirk on his face which was not there before was enough evidence.

“are you done checking me out?”

I rolled my eyes, praying that my cheeks do not give anything up.

“good morning to you too.”

I said in a sarcastic tone making him chuckle. His eyes unnecessary got fixed down, I followed his gaze and it was on my exposed legs.

Who is checking who now?

“who is checking out who now?”

I asked with a smirk similar to his earlier.

He raised his hands in mock surrender.

“I am a guy too, you know? And your legs are just too sexy.”

Why does he have to be so blunt?

I avoided his gaze looking around,

“thanks.”

I felt like I was missing something important right now.

The time, I am going to be late! And who wants to be late on their first day back to school? Definitely not me.

“why did you wave me over?”

I asked with a raised eyebrow and my hands on my waist.

“I was wondering if we could go to school together.”

“in your car or mine?”

I asked confused,

“no, not like that. I meant if you could show me the way. As you can see, I am new, and I do not really know my way around. And we wouldn’t want me to get lost.”

How cocky. How will he get lost when there is google map?

“fine whatever, just follow me.”

“thanks.”

He said with a grin,

“no need to mention that, what are friends for?”

“so, we are friends?”

He asked smirking, I shook my head and turned towards my car leaving him behind. Well you can’t blame me. Time does not wait for no one and definitely not two people talking about if they were friends or not.

It has been three months away from school, I drove inside the compound with lots of expensive cars at my front and back.

The buildings and everywhere looked the same.

The massive center building at the center of the campus, different other buildings surrounding it.

A statue at the center of the right-hand garden and a fountain at the left-hand garden.

A small lake at the back with fishes inside. That is one of my favorite spots in the school. I had lots of favorite spots since the whole school was just too beautiful and elegant.

The library was also one of the best parts of this school. The library is really big with lots of books arranged round the walls even so high close to the high roofed ceilings.

Even though I love it, my busy schedule and classes does not give me enough time to stay there a loot. But anytime I have a free period I am either there or at the lake.

I parked my car at my usual spot. I looked at my right to see Liv’s black BMW already parked there.

I stepped out of my car with my legs out first, I was just so used to doing that because of different and los of red carpet shows and galas.

I looked at her car, Liv was resting on it at the front and was already looking at me.

Just as usual all her outfit had a touch of black.

As you can see, our best colors were polar opposites.

“hey babes.”

She called out walking closer to hug me. It really felt good seeing her after three months.

I hugged her tighter making her tap my back.

I hear I was a really bad hugger, but I loved hugging.

I chuckled shifting back and releasing my hand making her glare at me.

“I missed you.”

I said pouting.

She looked around leaving me confused before she turned back again,

“where is the new guy?”

Can someone tell me why she is my friend again?

“so that is the what you will ask me first thing in the morning?”

I said with an unbelievable reaction.

She shrugged her hands,

“oh, shut up. Where is he?”

See my friend!

“well he is over there.”

I said pointing at Noah who was walking graciously down to where I stood.

I could see different girls ogling at him as he walked and for some unknown reasons, I wanted to say stop staring.

I turned to my best friend only to see her staring mouth opened. I chuckled and pushed her jaw up to prevent a fly entering it.

Immediately I did that she turned to me with a sheepish grin.

“wow, I do not know why I said that boy is all yours, honestly I am regretting my decision.”

I rolled my eyes at her,

“the reason is because you have a freaking boyfriend.”

Yeah, she is not single.

Once I said that she pouted and looked at the direction every girl was looking at only one change, he was already close to us now.

“you left me alone.”

He argued once he got close enough.

“I got you to school.”

I argued back. He rolled his eyes and turned to see my best friend still standing, staring awestruck at him. That was when he noticed I was not enough.

“hey babe, Lizzy.”

Pete said linking his arms round her neck.

She turned to him with a lovestruck face once he placed a kiss on her cheeks.

Someone see my best friend! I am sure she has forgotten Noah was here. She is such a two-faced girl, but the truth is that it was only Pete that was in her heart.

He has been her crush since middle school, and they have been dating since high school. They were on the celebrity couple magazine and articles for close to four years now.

Pete is a musician; he is part of a teen band which could not believe they would actually get really popular this day. They started slowly and before you knew it, they were already one of the top American bands and musicians.

He is also a senator’s son. So being a musician was the plus for him here.

I looked at him, he was wearing a deep red jean and a white V-neck top with a shirt wrapped round his waist and a white sneaker. He gave off the cool boy vibe.

“Noah, meet my best friend, Olivia and her boyfriend, Pete. Pete, Olivia meet Noah the new guy.”

“Hey Noah.”

Olivia said in a sweet voice. Don’t get me wrong, her voice has been always sweet that you could fall in love with it in seconds but this time it was sweeter. I do not know if I make sense.

“hey.”

He said back with a smile,

“Hey Noah.”

Pete said before stretching his hands toward him. they shook hands giving each other that bro handshake.

“I really need to take Liv somewhere with me. We will meet during break?”

“yeah sure.”

“make sure he seats at our table.”

Olivia said before they all walked away. Probably to the studio or recording room.

“let’s get on with the tour.”

I said. I walked into the massive building with him by my side looking at everywhere surprised.

“do you know anyone here aside from me?”

“yeah, I actually know someone. Shawn King.”

I stopped on my track and turned to him.

He was watching the various pictures on the walls until he noticed I was not moving.

“what?”

He asked confused.

“you know the school’s bad boy?”

I asked incredulously.

“Shawn is the school’s bad boy?”

He asked back chuckling. Okay that showed that he knew him.

“yeah.”

“well he should get ready for me.”

“why?”

“to out throne him.”

What?

“so, you are a more bad boy than him.”

“something like that.”

“welcome to ‘the royals’ then.”

I said pointing at the big logo on the wall.

He is a bad boy.

I like bad boys, but they do no good to me.
