Chapter XV: Leaving Terabithia and Back to Utopia

King Alaric’s POV

When I woke up, I saw Beatrice beside me, still sleeping. I kissed her forehead and observed her sleeping peacefully. She is beautiful. I will never get tired, looking at her face. Last night was the most unforgettable moment of my life because Beatrice also loves me and not to mention the kiss we shared under the moonlight.

Suddenly, I felt Beatrice moving and opened her eyes, but she closed them when she saw me looking at her. I know she is awake.

"Beatrice, I know you're awake,"

"Good morning, Alaric,"

"Good morning to Beatrice. Why are you not opening your eyes?"

"I will not open them. I want you to do something about it,"

“And what is that?”

"What did the prince do to Aurora when she was pricked by a spindle and fall in deep sleep?"

"Ah, I know what you mean,"

She wanted a kiss from the lips to wake her up. I also want to kiss her, too, so I kissed her lips. And she opened her eyes.

"I was awakened by a true loves kiss,"

"Sleeping beauty,"

"I love you, Alaric,"

“I love you too, Beatrice. Why don’t we go to your grandpa and tell him about us?”

"That's a good idea because we need to go back to Utopia today,"

“Ok”

We took a bath (we didn’t take a bath together). After getting ready, I called Livie, to ready the ship. Beatrice and I went to grandpa's room.

“Grandpa? Are you awake?”

"Beatrice and Alaric, good morning,"

"Good morning too," Beatrice and I said.

“What brings you here?”

Beatrice and I held hands, and grandpa noticed it.

"I get it already. What did I say, I was right,"

"Thank you for rooting for me grandpa,"

"It's nothing. I gave you my blessings after all,"

“Grandpa, we are going back to Utopia today. Take care always,"

"I will. Come back here soon,"

"We will. See you soon,"

Narrator’s POV

Butler Livie went to King Alaric and said that the ship is ready. They went to the docks. They were joined by Queen Beatrice’s sisters and parents.

"Take care, Beatrice and King Alaric,"

“We will. You too”

"Take care of the young king,"

"I may be a kid and younger than Beatrice, but I can manage by myself. I will take care of Beatrice,"

"Come back and visit here again soon,"

"Ok. We will come back soon,"

Queen Beatrice, King Alaric, and Butler Livie got on the ship, and they set sail. It will take them at least five days to be back at Utopia.

When they arrived at Utopia, they were welcomed by the town's people. When Queen Beatrice is getting off the ship, she heard someone calling her. Queen Beatrice saw who is calling her, and she felt happy seeing them again. Queen Beatrice went to them and hugged them both.

“Queen Beatrice”

“Maria and May. It’s nice to see you two again. How are you two?”

“We are good, Queen Beatrice. Did you know that father displayed the plate that you have eaten?”

“He did?”

“Beatrice?” King Alaric said.

"Your highness," Maria and May bowed to King Alaric.

"Who are they, Beatrice?"

"She is Maria, and this is her younger sister, May. They helped me when I was robbed by a burglar when I arrive here,"

"Thank you for saving and taking care of her,"

"You're welcome King Alaric,"

"Here, take these with you," King Alaric gave them lots of bread.

"Wow. Thank you, King Alaric,"

“We will be heading back to the palace now. Take care you two,"

"We will. See you soon and thank you,"

After they talked, they rode a carriage and head to the palace.

“You were robbed by a burglar when you arrive here?”

"I did not tell you that. Yes, I was robbed. I was alone. I send my people back to Terabithia because I want to be independent. I was about to show those burglars a lesson by using my martial arts skills, but I collapsed because of hunger. Maria and May's father helped me,"

"You should be careful. Glad that someone rescued you,"

"They are kind and hospitable people,"

They arrived at the palace at almost night time. King Alaric and Queen Beatrice felt tired and sleepy, so they went to their room and fall asleep immediately.
