Chapter XXVII: Gender Reveal

Narrator’s POV

One week later, Queen Beatrice's mother, Queen Eliza, arrived at the palace.

"Queen Beatrice, your mother, Queen Eliza is here,"

"Huh? Why is the mother here?"

Queen Beatrice approached her mother and hugged her.

“Mother, I miss you so much. Why are you here?”

"When I read the letter that you are pregnant, I planned on going here. You need me. I need to accompany you and Alaric and teach you how to take care of a baby,"

"Come to think of it. We need you  , mother. Thank you for coming and please teach us,"

"Sure, I will teach you,"

Fast forward.

For the past four months, Queen Beatrice's mother, Queen Eliza, taught them how to take care of a baby.

Queen Eliza taught them how to handle a new-born, bonding and soothing, diapering, bathing, feeding and burping the baby, and many more.

For the past four months, they already know how to take care of a baby, but they are nervous because they are only practicing a dummy and not a real baby.

"Glad to say that you are ready to be a parent,"

When Queen Eliza said that, King Alaric and Queen Beatrice is happy.

It’s already four months, so they can now know the gender of the baby. The people living in Utopia knows already about the pregnancy of their queen.

King Alaric’s POV

It's been four months, and Beatrice's mother, Queen Eliza, helped us with how to take care of a baby, and I'm thankful because she helped us. We need Queen Eliza because we did not know a few things about how to take care of a baby.

Queen Eliza, Beatrice, and I are going to the royal clinic to know what the gender of the baby is. When we arrive, I knocked on the door.

"Come in,"

"Good morning, doctor,"

"Good morning King Alaric, Queen Beatrice, and Queen Eliza,"

“We are here to know what the gender of the baby is”

"Ok, come with me, I will perform an ultrasound on Queen Beatrice's tummy so that we will know it's gender,"

We went to another room.

"Lie down on the bed, Queen Beatrice,"

“Ok”

When Beatrice lay down, the doctor put something like a gel on Beatrice's tummy. I hold Beatrice's hand.

“Are you taking your vitamins, Queen Beatrice?”

"Yes, doctor. I also eat lots of healthy and nutritious foods,"

"I see because your babies are looking healthy,"

“Babies? We all said.

"Yes. Congratulations, you are expecting twins, your highness,"

"What is its gender?" I said.

"You are lucky because it's a boy and a girl,"

I can't believe that we are expecting twins. I was shocked and happy to hear it.

"I've always wanted to give birth to twins," Beatrice said.

"I can't believe it. I'm going to be a grandma soon,"

"You should be careful. Having twins are hard. Please keep an eye on Queen Beatrice,"

"Ok, doctor," Queen Eliza and I said.

"Thank you, doctor. We will take our leave now,"

"Ok, take care,"

Queen Beatrice’s POV

It's been four months, and my mother taught Alaric and me how to take care of a baby, and I am happy because we are now ready to be a parent.

I was shocked when the doctor said that we are expecting twins and the gender is a boy and a girl. It’s the happiest moment of my life. That’s why my tummy got bigger for just four months. I’ve always wanted to give birth to twins.

Alaric and I are in our room. I am caressing my tummy. Suddenly, Alaric back hugged me.

"I can't believe that we are expecting twins,"

"Me too,"

"Thank you, Beatrice,"

“Uhum”

"Were going to be parents soon, but I am nervous,"

"I am too Alaric, but we can do this,"

“I know,"

Alaric turned me around, and he caressed and kissed my tummy, and I pat his head. Thinking about having a family with Alaric is the best thing. I imagined us going to the garden and having fun together. I can't wait for that time to come.

They are not expecting one, but two babies. Twins, to be exact.

It’s a boy and a girl.
