Synopsis

My name is Evelyn Lisa Giovanni. It has been a whole a week since I left the Orphanage. A lot has changed. I have been stuck here for four days. My food has run out, my last droplet of water has gone. My friends have betrayed me and left me all alone to defend for myself. I am writing this as I am not sure if I will make it out alive. My adoptive parents dropped me at the academy believing I would make it out. But I do not feel the same way. The headmaster has given us an utmost important task. To locate 10 items that have been scattered across the forest. There are 100 candidates competing with me and knowing the academy. Only the best survive. And to make the situation worse. One golden bell has been found and there are only 15 remaining. I don’t know if I have what it takes to find all these items. I am tired. I am scared. I am cold. And I am hungry.

Chapter 1 – Evelyn
t's Monday morning, the sun is shining bright. Today is going to be a special day. Why? Because it's adoption day. Chapter 2 – Adoption Day
 I walk out of my room and head towards my right. The floor is rough, hard and covered with small rocks that prickle my feet as I walk down the hallway. I have always walked barefooted, on a good day your feet will be intact. On a bad day, you might scrape it and it gets bloody. The passage is rather long and narrow, only wide enough to fit one person at a time. On either side of the passage are dormitories. Each room is crammed with six to ten kids. I love it! It makes it warm and fuzzy!At the end of the hallway are two white doors, that are always open and leads to the kitchen which is the biggest room in the whole building. Chapter 10 - The Great Hall
I had never seen anything like it, the room was so wide and spacious, it looked empty but at the same time, it felt rich and filled with wealth. The floor was padded with rich black and white porcelain, and dozens of children were skipping and running across its smooth surface. It reminded me of the orphanage so much. It felt as if I had not left at all. And at the centre of the hallway, stood a table with trays full of colourful fruits, pastries, and omelettes. There was even an enormous fountain of brown that was so tall it nearly touched the golden crystal-like ball that dangled on a thin long black metal rod, which stretched to the rooftops.As I raised my neck to follow it, I could see dozens of rooms, with black wooden frames, each level symmetric to the one below.
