Chapter 11

"hmmm!!", Annie said as she rolled on me.

"Annie!!", I groaned as I woke up.

I pushed her away slightly and she giggled.

"Good morning", she said as she jumped up from the bed.

"Morning", I said still feeling sleepy as I rubbed my eyes.

" Get up, lazy cat", she said as she threw the pillow at me.

"Hey!!", I said as I grabbed the pillow.

I sat on my bed and stretched lazily. I stood up and went into the bathroom and brushed my teeth.

Annie was already preparing breakfast.

I found my way to the kitchen and drank a cup of water.

"I will be leaving this morning", Annie said facing me.

"Oh! Okay", I said not wanting her to go.

We ate some bacons and fried eggs.

We talked and joked about some funny stuffs.

It was now time for her to leave.

"Good bye, Ammy", she said as she embraced me.

"Good bye and make sure you call me when you get home", I said.

" Sure and take good care of yourself"I told her.

I went back into my apartment and sat on the sofa chair.

It was a Sunday and am going to be at home throughout.

I took the book have been reading awhile ago titled,"THE MOON GODDESS MISTAKE".

It was really interesting about werewolves and the love thing with a girl.

I cuddled myself with the sofa pillow. I read for hours until a message popped in on my phone.

Annie: I just got home.

Me: okay, sweetie.

It's been a while have since talked with my mum. So I decided to call her.

"Hey!! Sweetie, how are you doing?", She asked.

"Fine mum, how is Dad and my brother", I asked her.

"We all doing fine, sweetie", she said as she giggled. I knew Dad will be there with her, they would never stop acting like two teenagers who just fell in love with each other.

"That's good", I said, smiling.

"So tell me how is your job going, and oh!! My God I forgot to say. I saw you on the tab with your boss, you were so cute and lovely honey", she said with a tinge of pride in her voice.

I chuckled. " Thanks mum", I said.

"Hope you and that hot looking Boss of yours is getting along", she asked.

I rolled my eyes, I don't know how many ceaseless times have done that .

"Not really", I said.

"Oh!! My God, Amanda when will you ever change towards men", she asked disappointedly.

" I don't know mum", I shrugged.

" Okay sweetie, just be a good girl and take good care of yourself and make sure you come home for Christmas", she said.

" Ok mum", I said.

" And remember that mama loves you, your dad sends his regards" ,she chuckled.

" I love you too mum" I said and hanged up.

Now that mum made mention of me coming home for Christmas, I have to work on that.

I sighed and stood up and made my way to the kitchen, I looked at my store and saw that I had run out of food.

It's already  some minutes past five and if I don't go to grocery shop on time, I will have no option than to fast.

I went into my bedroom and changed into jeans and tank top, I tied my hair up into a ponytail.

I grabbed my purse and keys and made my way out of the apartment and locked my door.

I walked down the street, the grocery shop was just five blocks away.

I got to the shop and started buying all the necessary food stuff that will be okay for me before the week runs out.

I bought cabbage, pastas, tomatoes paste, cereals, milk and lot of other things.

I was moving trolley slowly when someone shoulder bumped me.

"Hey!!!", I said immediately turning to look at who the person might be.

But he has already moved so far away from me and was wearing a black hoodie.

I felt nervous and scared, someone might be keeping an eye on me.

I don't know who, but I don't want to think about the person I dreaded the most.

I made my purchases immediately and paid to the cashier and headed home immediately .

I got home and unlocked my door and went into the kitchen to keep the food stuffs in my store.

I went into my room and had a quick shower in the bathroom.

I took a big shirt in my wardrobe and wore it and tied my hair into a messy bun.

I didn't feel like cooking, so I ordered pizza.

It wasn't long when the man brought my pizzas.

"Thank you", I said as I collected the pizza and paid him.

"At your service miss", he said smiling.

I locked the door and put my pizza on the table and went into the kitchen to grab a juice drink.

I went into the sitting room and played a movie," TURKEY DROP", I settled on the seat as I pulled the pizza to myself and started eating.

This was the only way I could stop thinking of unnecessary things and stuffs that bothers me.

Have finished eating my pizza and the movie hasn't finished yet. I picked up my phone and saw a message from Drake.

Drake: hey!! Baby

Me: hi

Immediately he replied back as if he was waiting to catch its prey.

Drake: how are you doing

Me: pretty good and you

Drake: yeah!! Have missed you.

I blinked at my phone not knowing what to reply him.

Me: that's good.

Immediately I  felt part of me giving myself a blow.

For heaven's sake!! You can't say you missed him too.

I ignored it and smiled.

Then he sent me a message again.

Drake: please! tell me what you are wearing now and please snap them to me.

I rolled my eyes and hissed!!!

Me: NO!! and stop forcing me to do it, I won't no matter how much you plead.

Feeling a bit satisfied with myself.

His message came in immediately again.

Drake: ok fine, there's is an important meeting tomorrow be at work by 7:00 A.M sharp.

My eyes popped out from my socket.

What the heck!!! I thought within myself .

Me: ok sir.

I typed annoyingly.

Drake: Good night

Me: good night.

I sighed and went into my bedroom as I get prepared for tomorrow's work. 

I brought out my clothes.

I decided to wear a red turtle neck sleeveless top with black fitted straight skirt and a matching black blazer.

I ironed them and carefully put them back in the wardrobe.

I jumped on my bed and silently said my prayers. I know am not a big fan of going to church but I pray God always have his mercies on me.
