Chapter 7

I got out of the hall and the cold breeze hit hard on my skin, which made me shivered. 

I really wanted to go back home now.

"Amanda! Amanda!! Where are you", I heard Drake calling..

I was already soaked in my own tears and almost choking.

" Amanda, what's wrong", I felt Drake hands on my shoulder.

I turned around only for me to hug him tightly.

" Take me home ", I sobbed.

"Okay, I will call the driver now", he said with concern in his eyes.

"It's gonna be okay",he assured me,as he planted a kiss on my forehead.

The driver got on time and he drove us back to Drake home.

I didn't even know what happened next,  as I drifted to sleep.

Drake POV

I saw Amanda running out from the hall. She looked terrified, like she was running away from something but it caught up with her .

I had to follow her immediately, to know what's going on.

"Amanda! Amanda!!, Where are you", I called out.

I saw her, was she crying, it broke my heart to see her this way, so emotional, so broken.

I moved closer to her and tap her shoulder, she turned round and her eyes were red but I was more moved as she pulled me for a hug as she kept on crying on my shirt.

"It's gonna be okay", I assured her, not knowing the fact if I was right.

She told me she wants to go home and I quickly called the driver to come get us back to my house.

I planted a kiss on her forehead.

Minutes later the driver came by and we got into the car.

Amanda was still sitting close to me, the entire drive was silent. I looked down at her she is already sleeping on my chest.

She really looked adorable, so innocent as she slightly parted her lips.

I really wanted to kiss her but not now.

We got home and I didn't wanted to wake her up so I carried her into my house.

"Oh! My!! My!!, you are back", Christopher squealed.

"Shhhh!!! Don't wake her up", I said as I headed upstairs to her room.

" Oops, sorry", Christopher said.

"Hope nothing is wrong sir", he asked.

"Not all", I said as I rolled my eyes.

I knew Christopher so well if you don't cut him off guard, he will like to know the details of all stories.

I got into Amanda's room and laid her carefully on her bed.

I gave her slight kiss on her full lips.

She looked just like a 2 year old adorable girl.

I was about to go out of the room, when she started talking, perhaps in dreams I think.

"No! No!! No!!!", she murmured.

"Please!!,am begging you ,don't do it!", She said again.

"Nooooo!!!", She screamed.

She woke up immediately and started shivering.

I ran over to her and cuddle her in my arms. She gripped me tightly.

"It's just a nightmare, okay" I said.

" I'm here with you" I said again, as she kept on sobbing.

"Water", she said.

I ran  downstairs to get her a cup of water. I went back into her room and found her pulling her legs close to herself as she wrapped herself in it.

I touched her slightly and she smiled at me as she collected the cup of water from me and drank.

"Thank you", she said.

I nodded at her and decided to take my leave.

"Drake", she called back.

I turned to look at her.

"Do you mind,if you can sleep here with me", she asked.

I was overwhelmed, unsure of what I will say.

"Yes I will", I told her.

"Give me some minutes, let me go change and you do the same also", I said and left the room.

Amanda POV

I screamed out from my dream, I was sweating and shivering at the same time.

I saw Drake at the door way, has he been in here since. He came over to me and embraced me.

I gripped him tightly, not wanting him to go.  He was my only chance to protect me now.

I asked him to get me water, which he did quickly. I never knew he was so caring, I also saw the concern and curiosity in his eyes, but he didn't ask me anything.

I wrapped myself around my leg. I need to get away from Austin or else he will come back looking for me. Now that he knows where I work and I'm pretty sure he knows am the assistant to Drake.

I was still in my thoughts, when Drake touched me, I smiled at him and collected the water from him.

I could see the worries written all over his face.

"Thank you",my voice a little shaky.

He nodded and turned to leave.

He can't just leave me, I was scared of sleeping alone, when the thoughts of Austin coming back to look for me got through me.

"Can you sleep here with me", I asked.

Feeling stupid of what I just said.

He looked at me , I think he was thinking of whether saying a yes or no.

"Yes I will", he said.

"Give me some minutes to change and do the same also",he said and left.

I quickly got up and changed into a big shirt and wore a pair of short.

I climbed back on bed, sitting with my eyes closed.

I heard the door opened and it was Drake, he just wore a black short and shirt that exposed off his chest a little bit.

I bit my lips and looked away.

This is not me, I thought within myself

You like him,a part of me said. But I shook it off out of me.

He climbed on the bed and looked at me.

"Are you okay now",he asked.

"Uh! Yeah!! I am", I said as I played with my fingers.

I do that when I don't know what to really say.

"Do you want to talk about it", he said, looking at me worriedly.

I closed my eyes, and let out a small breathe as the tears flowed down my eyes.

"It all started when I was in high school, I used to be everyone crush especially the guys".

"One of them asked me out, his name is Austin Donald. He was a bad spoilt ass guy, he always had his way through whatever things he wanted.

Austin and his gangs used to go partying, they smoke and all stuffs like that. I didn't want that kind of boyfriend.

He has asked me on several occasions to have sex with him but I refused.

I told him I wasn't ready. There were times he would drag me off to a party while we were in school and fuck some girls in my front .

He was really bad, I didn't like him anymore, I regretted giving in to him when he asked me out."

"So I summoned all courage I had to go and meet him and told him we were done, I told him blankly I don't want to be his girlfriend anymore but he refused.

I snubbed him for days."

"But this particular day, I was going back home , when a car pulled in front of me, I got a bit nervous and all of a sudden the guys came out and knocked me off."

"When I woke up I was being tied up on a chair, then I saw Austin. I become scared, I knew he was a bad guy and could do anything to have his way."

"You think you could just run away from me , without me having what I want from you ", he told me.

"I asked him what he meant, and he said what rightfully belongs to him, my virginity.

I told him no that he will not have a taste of it but I rather die"

" I got him angry and he told his boys to untie me , he pulled me up from the seat and gave me a dirty slap, then he told his gangs to leave the room."

"He started assaulting me , he said he will have it by force. I begged him ceaselessly to have mercy on me ,he fucking kiss me and I was shouting for help, he stopped and looked at me, I was still pleading. He stopped and call his gang back into the room."

"Get me the hot rod", he said.

"I looked at him frightening but he smiled wickedly at me and turned me to my back and unzipped my cloth, I started shouting, his gangs were holding me tightly and he put the hot rod at my back, I nearly died. But I was lucky the cops came by, I didn't know who called but I was saved that day".

I finished narrating my story to Drake and I could see the pains on his face.

"Am really sorry for all what you went through Amanda",he said and he pulled me into his embrace.

"You didn't deserve it",he murmured in my hair.

" Was he the one that I got you changed with on the dance floor", he asked.

I looked up at him and nodded, tears in my eyes. 

He used his thumb and wiped it off and he planted a kiss on my lips but I kissed him back the more

His tongue slided into mine and it was divine, he kissed back greatly.

I broke the kiss and we panted heavily.

"I think you should get some sleep Amanda",he said.

I nodded at him and he let me sleep on his chest .

That's why she's always cold towards men.

I think Amanda and Drake are getting along.
