That bitch recovered! No! This can't be happening! Qi Fan's mind is in turmoil. Both their families agreed to have her wedding set on eight day of following month and now her cousin, who is the original fiance, recovered. All her thoughts aren't shown on her face as Guanting, her second uncle and aunt are present.

"Really grandfather! Oh I'm so happy, thankfully Buddha have answered our prayers!" Fan exclaimed with a happy expression but turned worried as if she remembered something and look at Guanting.

"Don't worry everything is already set. The one I love is you and soon you are to be my wife, Fan'er." Guanting immediately answered as he saw the worried eyes of his beloved.

"I am glad that you didn't change your mind Young Master Long. My daughter is really lucky to have you." Fang Fei proudly commented while smirking at her second branch couple.

"No, I am the lucky one here as Fan'er have everything I have dreamed."

"Guanting..." Fan blushed as she shyly look in the eyes of her beloved and soon to be husband. Ah Xiuying though you've recovered you won't be the one to get married! A slut like you can only rot in your courtyard.

"Good! We will proceed as planned, as soon we get your token from Xuiying and you return hers." Patriach is indeed happy for her granddaughter, for him only their Fan'er can match Guanting who is the eldest young master of Long clan. Long clan is one of the four oldest and influential families in Great Yan. The old patriach of Long clan is the current Left Prime Minister and soon Guanting's father will take over. When he thought of their future as in-laws with the future Left Prime Minister, the smile of the patriach became wider.

"Yes, that is the reason why I am here as well to get my emblem." Guanting solemnly replied but his eyes gazes to Fan while holding her hand, though they know they aren't married yet the elders didn't say anything about their intimate contact as it is only a month before they are to be wed.

While the First Elder's family, Patriach and Guanting are talking about the wedding, the Second Elder didn't speak, his wife look at him but he just shake his head. They don't want to bare their fangs yet it isn't time besides he have long noticed that Qi Chen have returned and watching them while leaning at the pillar near the side room's door. His wife just nodded understanding him, they slowly got up and bid farewell. He would really like to watch the drama that will happen as soon they leave but for everything to be set in motion they had to leave.

Fan can't hold her curiosity anymore and asked "Grandfather how is cousin, I know I have wronged her but I can't dictate my heart. I love Guanting! I want to talk to her and apologize."

"I think this isn't the right time Fan'er. Young Master Long I apologize to say this but it is Fan'er and your fault that you have been seen by Xiuying in the garden. You two should have considered that your engagement with Xiuying isn't completely annulled yet." Patriach gently reprimanded his granddaughter and Guanting.

"I understand Patriach Qi and for that I apologize." Guanting got up from sitting and elegantly cupped his fists and bowed to the patriach.

"No need to apologize, this annulment have to happened sooner." The patriach smiled, he is happy with the manners of his soon to be grandson-in-law.

"If only that child didn't survive in the accident this wouldn't happened! What will happen to my daughter's reputation if this spreads out?!"

"No need to apologize? Patriach Qi indeed have opened my eyes! My Ying'er and Fan are both your granddaughters yet you are okay with Ying'er to be hurt by a scumbag." Qi Chen reveal himself from hiding, his face reddens in anger and clenching his fists, he didn't notice the blood slowly dropping from it.

"And you! You want my daughter to die?! How good of an aunt are you?! My daughter treated you as her second mother..." As he points to Fang Fei. "And yet for your daughter to be the one to marry in Long clan, you want your own niece's demise!"

Everyone are shocked to see Qi Chen's return in the main hall. Qi Chang can only grit his teeth in anger while glaring at his wife. Fang Fei can only step back, she didn't expect for Chen to be back so soon.

"Chen'er it isn't like that, forgive your sister-in-law's comment she doesn't mean it." Patriach Qi tries to calm Chen but there are no changes in his nephew's expression.

"Patriach Qi your family are indeed magnificient! Only your beloved second granddaughter can match to Young Master Long. A couple with dirty minds are indeed match made in heaven!" Chen sarcastically commented, Qi Fan's face paled hearing it.

"Third Master Qi you should not accuse people who are innocent!" Seeing Qi Fan's reaction Guanting fume in anger though he really did hired the assassins to kill Xiuying, her beloved Qi Fan is still innocent.

"Innocent?! Qi Fan, my daughter treated you as her own sister yet you betrayed her! And you, Young Master Long you had the option to say what you wanted but instead you stoop so low and hired people to kill her."

"Third Master Chen it is your daughter's fault on standing on our way..." Guanting immediately regrets what he just said, he was about to apologize to Qi Chen but the latter started punching him.

The young master was unable to fight back as he was shocked that the always calm Third Master of Qi clan have the strength to beat him up. They don't know that although Qi Chen is a well known merchant he practices martial arts as a way to protect himself and loved ones, his only regret is when he wasn't able to protect Xiuying on that day.

Qi Chen sees the jade emblem with Xiuying's name in Guanting's waist and snatched it. He throws the last punch to young master's face before getting up.

Qi Fan is scared as she watched her fiance getting beaten up, when Chen rushed to punch Guanting, he (Guanting) slightly pushed Qi Fan aside to protect her.

"Guanting! Third Uncle please forgive us we only love each other! I... I'll go to Xuiying to beg for her forgiveness and go to the Qian temple and serves as a nun! Please just forgive us!" Qi Fan starting crying as she embraces the unconcious Guanting as if protecting him from any harm. The first elder and Fang Fei rushes to their daughter's side and tries to calm her down. (A/N: uhh he already passed out so you failed to protech him Fan'er 🤭🙄)

"Cousin you shouldn't have done that you will be imprisoned!" Qi Chang exclaimed but deep inside he is already thinking that if Qi Chen indeed go to jail the third branch will be left unprotected and they can get his cousin's wealth.

"That's right Chen'er you shouldn't be impulsive! Servants help Fan'er and Young Master Long! Hurry up and call Physician Li!" Patriach sees that the situation is now out of control, instructed the servants.

"Impulsive?! How this one be calm when I just found out that your own family is involved to the assassination of your daughter?"

"Chen'er...you! Don't simply accuse us! We aren't in any way involved to Xiuying's accident!"

"Oh then why are you, Qi Chang is in communication with Young Master Long a month before Xiuying went to the temple to pray for her upcoming marriage?! Only us elders are aware of her going out that day!" Chen shouted while throwing few letters at the faces of Patriach and First Elder, Fang Fei slowly pick up one of the letters. That letter clearly states the 10 gold coins paid by Guanting to the assassins with the route that Xiuying's group will take, the date when the group will leave and estimate day she will arrive at the Qian Temple.

"Qi Chang, Patriach Qi let's see who will be imprisoned once these things gets out!" Chen confidently threatened while looking to their eyes as though he can see right what they are thinking.

Fang Fei hands are shaking as she reads the letter's content, her face becomes pale. "How...why do you have these?!" She realizes what she just blurt out and covers her mouth while the Patriach and First Elder can only watch in horror as Qi Chen's face darkened and became murderous as if ready to snap everyone's neck as he hears the confirmation he is waiting for.
