After making sure that Xiuying, Xue and Xi Hui went to the side hall, Qi Chen finally look at his uncle. The Patriach was about to speak but Qi Chen beat him to it.
"Uncle I know that you favor first cousin's daughter the most and I fully understand that however if such favor would result to this I need you to turn them to the authorities for them to be punished. If you just want to replace my Ying'er with Qi Fan you could have told us and we would gave way but instead you let Young Master Long and Fan'er to have an affair and hurt my daughter!"
"Chen'er I know you are angry however you didn't inform me that Ying'er have recovered I could have hold on the original arrangement for the alliance but I already talk to everyone and we've concluded that we can't further delay this alliance. And about Guanting being involved to what happened last year we aren't aware of it." The patriach firmly said he can only swallow his anger at the stupidity of his favorite granddaughter. How can they act as if no one can see them hugging in the garden when what they have planned haven't finalized yet! Now he have to deal with his nephew to avoid any losses, he still need to snatch his businesses!
"I see and you let this be a secret for a while now when Ying'er is also your granddaughter and she got hurt because of your secrecy." Chen gritted his teeth trying to hold his anger from exploiding.
"This... Chen you were busy these past months and I spoke with Guanting's parents about this and we can't change it anymore I was about to inform you about this matter today but we were interrupted."
"I see... It seems it was finalized like we aren't part of 'this family', I agree on the changes you want in the marriage alliance but I won't let off Long clan's eldest son for hurting my daughter."

Qi Chen didn't answer causing for Qi Chang and Fang Fei to get more nervous.
"Chen..." Qi Bao was about to get up and approach Qi Chen but the latter suddenly gets up from sitting.
"This nephew will go first to my family, my daugther needs me."
Chen left the main hall without giving proper farewell. As soon as he is out of sight, the patriach throws the cup he was holding to his first son hitting Qi Chang's head, blood slowly flow from his wound.
"What a good daughter you have! Can't she wait for everything to be settled before revealing her relationship with Young Master Long?!" The patriach's face reddens due to anger as he points at his eldest son and his wife.
"Father we don't know that Xiuying recovered!" Qi Chang immediately reasoned out. He can't lose his father's favor to him and his family.
"Do you have to wait for them to tell you brother? Don't you have spies in their courtyards? It only shows how you have been too lax these past months." Qi Bai suddenly spoke, he doesn't have anything against Qi Chen and since the result of his brother's problem will be beneficial to him he didn't say anything earlier to defend the first branch. He is the son of the Patriach with his once favored concubine thus making him always the second best in his father's eyes. Making his brother loss their father's favor is the best outcome he can get today.
"Shut up!" Qi Chang shouted. "You only know how to make things worst for me!"
"Eh, brother-in-law it isn't our fault that your daughter is already counting the chicks when the eggs haven't hatched." Ji Huan said calmly and covers her mouth with a fan painted with red peonies but both Fang Fei and Qi Chang can see the hidden smirk playing on her lips.
"You...you!!!!" Fang Fei can't take situation anymore and started running towards the Second Elder's wife.
"Stop all of you!" Patriach shouted his voice rang in all corners of the main hall that even the servants outside heard it clearly. Fang Fei stopped and faces the Patriach, she was about to speak when his husband grabs her wrists forcefully she can only glare at the second branch and her husband.
"You two know that what your younger brother said is true. You have been too relax!" Angrily said while slamming his fist against the chair's armrest.
"Bai'er what do you think we should do?" He faces his second son and tries to calm down. This action made the Chang's expression ugly while Fang Fei openly glared at Ji Huan.
"We can only have Young Master Long and Fan'er apologize to Xiuying to appease Chen and Xi Hui and resume the original plan for Xiuying be the one to marry in Long clan." Bai calmly state what he have in mind while trying to see what his father is thinking.
"You know that the one Young Master Long love is my Fan'er! Why should they apologize?! Aiyo! If I didn't know you only want to ruin my daughter's future!" Fang Fei rebuke despite her wrist is starting to hurt more in her husband grip.
"What's happening mother?" a lovely yet seductive voice was heard in the main hall's door. Everyone in the main hall saw Qi Fan slowly approach her mother while Young Master Long, Long Guanting supporting her. Her white skin is emphasize by her light pink hanfu and with long eye lashes, phoenix like eyes and heart shape palm size face she gives off an innocent appearance contrasting her voice.
"Xiuying have recovered." Patriach calmly said despite the storm going on his mind but after a while his mind cleared up as he saw Long Guanting as long as the young master declare his love to his beloved granddaughter they don't have to stop their plan. Though he still have doubts due to Xiuying's appearance and recovery he dismisses it as he sees how the newly arrived couple look at each other.
