2020-09-08 14:07:31Noticing the glances between the patriach and her first uncle and they're about to speak to control the situation, Xiuying cries more louder which makes Fang Fei grew more annoyed as she feel the uneasiness in her heart.
"Ying'er calm down you aren't a little child anymore and as a family we are here for you, am I right Uncle?" Qi Chen chided Xiuying though his voice sounded strict Xiuying can only feel warmth in her heart.
"Yes as a family we are here for you." Immediately seconded by the Patriach, Qi Bao. "Chen'er why you didn't tell us that Xiuying have recovered? We could have prepared more dishes earlier in the banquet to celebrate." He voiced out his grievances though it sounded stiff due to shock of Xiuying appearance. He look at his nephew trying to see through his intention by hiding the news but he can't as Qi Chen have long mastered in concealing his thoughts.
Qi Chen was about to speak but Xiuying interrupted him.
"Grandfather I asked Father to not inform you as I want to surprise you... I know you'll be happy with my recovery." she said while wiping her tears.
We are so surprise alright! You are clearly sabotaging our plans! Qi Chang and Fang Fei have the same thoughts as they watch though they love their Fan'er they admit to themselves that Xiuying became more beautiful in just span of a year.
"I'm glad that you've recovered Ying'er, come here let me take a look at you." Xiuying slowly approach the Patriach while still sobbing a little. She notice in the corner that her second uncle and his wife just quietly observes the drama.
Ahh they aren't simple and can see through my act maybe they already know our plan? Well at least they are smart unlike the rest, she thought.
"Grandfather!" Xiuying called louder as she hug the Patriach then lifted her head to look at the Patriach with her doe like black eyes.
"Aiyo! Now, now stop crying... Tell me why are you crying like this?" The Patriach as if hypnotized by her teary eyes blurted out but as soon as he finished the last word he knows that he made a mistake though he can't identify the problem.
"Grandfather! I thought everyone will be surprise and happy that I am well but cousin...!" Xiuying didn't continue and cried once more to show her sorrow.
Xue who just entered the main hall while holding the container full of desserts finally caught up with Xiuying. "Xue tell me what happened to my daughter why is she crying and look like this?!" Qi Chen immediately asks her to add more fire in the drama.
"Third Master, young miss..." Xue'er nervously said and glances at the crying Xiuying and since all eyes are at her they didn't notice Xiuying winking at her maidservant.
"Why did you stop, you don't want to tell us?! Do you want to be punish just to spill out what happened to my Ying'er?!" Xi Hui suddenly shouted at Xue.
Fang Fei don't know what happened but whatever the maidservant will say would not be good for them, she nervously glance at Qi Chang and her father in law.
Qi Bao was about to open his mouth to pacify Xi Hui and to interrupt the maidservant but he was too late.
"Young miss wants to surprise the elders so she prepare some desserts but when we are on our way here. She...she saw second young miss and Long clan's eldest master hugging each other in the garden's pavilion! Young miss and I even heard that Young Master Long is involved in young miss accident last year! Please forgive this servant for not protecting young miss enough!" the young maid immediately kowtow, her forehead hits the hard floor several times that it is already bleeding. Qi Chen immediately signals Xue to stop.
Fang Fei gasped while the First Elder and Patriach expressions turned ugly. They can't believe this happened when all they have to do is talk with Chen to give way to Qi Fan for her to be the one to marry in Long clan.
"Elder cousin, are you aware all along of what happened to my daughter?!" Qi Chen have a shock expression, he and Xi Hui's faces show sorrow for their daughter.
"Cousin we don't know if what they saw is what it seems we need to investigate this. You can't just point at us!" the First Elder answered back while holding Fang Fei, he had to speak first before his wife as he knows whatever she wanted to say will just make the problem worst.
Xiuying suddenly moved away from the Patriach and went to help Xue get up from kneeling, she noticed Xue's dress have blood on them as she wipes the blood and tears from the young maid's face. She is still crying while helping her maidservant.
"Xiuying's maidservant help your young miss to clean up." The patriach's head is starting to ache and thankfully his son quickly stopped his wife in making the situation worst.
Xi Hui immediately supported the two and glanced at her husband before guiding her daughter and Xue to the side room of the main hall.
Qi Chen nodded to his wife and daughter before facing back his elder cousin and his wife whose expression is so ugly that he wanted to laugh out loud but he controls her inner thoughts he can't miss out this opportunity.
