Chapter 14~ Inquisitive

Kelvin opened the door to his house, letting Isere in as he followed suit.

"My place is the closest that's why I brought you here considering I can't drive to your hostel in this weather," Kelvin explained to her.

Isere noded her head. She has spent three months here in Osun state, which meant that they were in November already.

Isere and Kelvin got closer, as they texted back and forth and called each other even if they couldn't see each other.

There was no doubt any longer in Isere mind as she knew she liked Kelvin and would want more than what they have now. Kelvin on the other hand were taking things slowly which in some ways had irritated Isere.

There were times where she had wished he'd kiss her but Kelvin never did that and the farthest they've gone was hug.

They were on their way back to Isere's hostel from Erin ijesha water fall when the rain began to fall. The rain poured down heavily as the thunder rumbled, it was too risky to drive to her hostel considering the weather so he stopped at his place which was the closest.

Isere stared at the house for it was the second time she had stepped her foot into the house. She admired the setting, the living room was big, with just three couch's. A three seater black couch, and a two seater couch opposite each other. The floor were tiled with brown and cream colour.

An LED plasma tv was placed on the wall, opposite the three seaters black couch. "Have a seat," Kelvin ushered her.

Kelvin walked into a room she remembered was the room was the room she found her self in Two months ago.

She sat down trying to feel comfortable as her eyes roamed around until she heard Kelvins footstep. He had changed into a basketball short and a grey tank top. Isere couldn't help but admire his muscles and well moulded body.

My man! She said within her.

"Are you cold? Should I turn off the AC?" Kelvin asks her seeing that she was rubbing her arms.

"It's fine," she told him. He walked closer to her, he dropped his phone on the table in the middle of the living room and sat down beside her.

He wrapped his arms around her pulling her close which shocked Isere. Her heart began to beat erractically as she loved his smell. "Do you want something to drink?" He asked her and she noded her head.

Kelvin unwrapped his arms around Isere and stood up, walking towards the kitchen. As soon as he left, his phone rang. Isere walked to where his phone was and saw the caller ID whose name was; Ewawunmi with two love emojis.

Isere felt a pinch in her heart, it was the same girl that she had seen Kelvin with the other day. She was in the same department as he was.

Isere didn't really know the girl but she hated her already, whenever she and Kelvin were in the middle of something, the girl always found a way to interrupt them as that moment she'd call Kelvin.

And whenever Kelvin was to pick her call, he'd walk away leaving her lost. That made Isere wonder what Kelvin had stored her name with.

She heard footsteps and ran off to the couch pretending to be doing something else. "My phone rang right?" Kelvin asked Isere.

"Uh...uh...yes," Isere stuttered. She wanted to know what was going on between Kelvin and that girl, because the first time she had seen the girl was when she decided to visit his department for the first time when they had announced to them that they had no lecture for that day.

Isere waited until she saw students coming out meaning that they were done with their lectures, she walked closer until she saw Kelvin with Ewawunmi and two other guys the same height as Kelvin.

The girl Ewawunmi had wrapped her arm wrapped around Kelvin's waist and they were talking and laughing too. They were all dressed in a black suit and looked professional unlike her.

She wanted to turn back seeing them and regretted ever coming. Her eyes were teary and she didn't know why she felt that way, why did she want to cry, she had asked herself.

She was about to leave when Kelvin spotted her and ran up to her. She suddenly wished the ground would swallow her as he had led her to where the two guys and Ewawunmi was and introduced her to them.

The two guys name turned out to be Banji and Jide who were his friends since childhood.

Isere stared at Kelvins retreating figure as he answered Ewawunmi's call. She knew they were not dating so she had not right to be jealous or to complain.

Isere turned on the TV and began to watch Telemundo, she kept waiting for Kelvin to come soon but his call took so long.

She was watching dangerous affairs, she had never watched it before neither does she know what it was about but she had heard about Telemundo from her friends back in secondary school.

She was so focused on the series that she didn't know when Kelvin sat down beside her.

After she was done watching the episode of dangerous affair, she waited for the next program to start when Kelvin grabbed the remote from her hands.

"Ladies and Romance, doesn't it bore you guys out?" He asked her showing his pearly white teeth and his dimple.

"Why would we get tired of it?" She retorted. She didn't feel like talking to him considering she was hurt. She grabbed the remote back from his hand.

"Really? So what do you guys learn from something you can do in reality than watch?" He asked her.

Isere acted numb to whatever he was saying. "Answer me."

Kelvin saw that Isere wasn't paying attention to him, so he grabbed the remote from her hand and changed the station. "I will give you back the remote if you answer me," he smirked.

Isere sighed, she stood up and frowned, "keep it...I wanna go back to my hostel," she told him.

Kelvin watched in in confusion, what was with her sudden mood swing? Did he did something wrong?

He chuckled, "I was just playing, and why are you suddenly so uptight?" He asked her standing up to his feet.

Isere suddenly felt stupid, why was she angry with him, not that they were dating or anything and she had no right to be mad!

"It's nothing," she grabbed the remote from his hand and ran away chuckling, "catch me if you can!" She yelled.

Kelvin chased after as she she turn round the chairs giggling. She didn't know how but the next thing she knew was that Kelvin had connered her and collected the remote making her chase after him now.

Kelvin stopped running and stretched his hands up, "let's see how tall you are?" He smirked.

Isere jumped and jumped but it was all in vain, she climbed on top of the couch and jumped on him, he caught her as she wrapped her legs around his waist.

Her hands held firmly unto his shoulder as Kelvin had held  unto her as she had jumped unto him unaware.

They both stared at each other, Isere gulped as she waited for what is to happen next, Kelvin stared at her, her mesmerizing eyes, to her pointed nose to her pink lips that he had wanted to devour so many times but had to stop himself.

He could still remember the first kiss he had with her back in the club, she was insanely addictive and it took his all his will power to not have taken advantage of her.

She was so volunerable at that time but he has to respect himself as a prince and not do what would Shame their family name.

He knew he liked her from the very first start and her attitude towards him showed she felt the same but he didn't want to rush or conclude things.

He knew if he kissed her now, she wouldn't stop him considering how she was waiting eagerly for it.

He leaned closer, Isere eyes closed involuntarily, they were so close that just one move from him, his lips would be touching hers.
