Chapter 48~ Worried

Isere came out of the shower wearing Kelvin's white button shirt which stopped on her mid thigh. She watched Kelvin who was busy typing on his phone with admiration.

When she recalled the fact she was pregnant, she became nervous, she thought of how to tell him and she imagined his reaction in a not so good way.

She heaved a sigh as she made advances towards him. "I have to go now, my parents would soon be worried," Isere said, her voice came out low and that bothered Kelvin.

"Are you okay? Is there something you are not telling me?" Kelvin asked. He was concerned and worried.

"Kate, you had something to tell me, what is it?" He asked her, looking deep into her eyes.

He couldn't understand her but he knew something bothered her and that bothered him too.

Isere wanted to tell him but she didn't know how or where to start from. She was worried because she didn't know what effect it'd have on them, especially him.

Kelvin pulled her closer to him as he wrapped him arms around her. "Is something wrong? You know you can tell me?" Kelvin whispered pecking her on the forehead.

"What do you think..." Isere trailed off. "I mean what would be of us together..." She trailed off again. She wasn't getting the perfect word she needed and it bothered her.

Kelvin looked deep into her eyes, he knew something was wrong and he wanted to know. "Go on, I'm listening," Kelvin spoke, his voice were soft and tender.

"Where do you see us in five years time?" Isere asked boring deep into his eyes.

Kelvin was taken aback by her question, he wondered why she asked that.

"In five years time, ask me that question again," He whispered.

Isere heart sank, she wasn't expecting such answer from him. "Do you think they will be," She swallowed the lump in her throat, "An us in five years time?" She asked.

"Where is all this coming from?" Kelvin asked, her sudden questions were confusing him and making him nervous at the same time too.

"Do you think, they would be an us in five years time? Do you think we would still be together as we are now?" Isere repeated her question.

Kelvin pulled her closer to him, he cupped her cheek then pecked the tip of her nose. "Leave the future to handle itself and let's handle the present," Kelvin replied.

"What if," Isere face palmed herself, she didn't know how to speak to get him to understand her and it baffled her. "What are the cases that you know could make us break up?, Or keep us apart?" Isere asked.

Kelvin scrutinized her, in as much as he wanted to understand her, he just couldn't, she was speaking in riddles and he didn't like it.

"Forget it!" Isere spat out when she saw he wasn't giving her an answer. She walked to where her dress was and picked it from the floor, getting rid of Kelvin's shirt from her body.

"Kate, what is wrong?" Kelvin asked her but she said nothing.

"Nothing is wrong and I'm fine, you just forget it!" She spoke, not wanting to hurt herself.

"If you don't tell me, I won't be able to sleep and I won't be able to live with myself knowing that something is bothering you." Kelvin said. He didn't like her attitude right now as it was scaring him.

"Did I do something wrong? You remember we promised to talk things out whenever we were bothered," Kelvin reminded her.

Isere bit her her bottom lips, she wanted to tell him, but she was scared. Scared that this could be an obstruction on his path and she wouldn't be able to live with herself. The pregnancy came unexpectedly and as much as she tried recalling a scene where they had raw sex and he didn't pull her, she couldn't remember any.

"I have to go," Isere said. Kelvin pulled her back, "You won't leave until I know what is wrong with you. Just now you were bubbly and now you are speaking in riddles and it's freaking me out!" Kelvin spat out.

"Does it have to do with your parents? Are you not staying with them? Do you have financial issues? Are you moving away? Like seriously what is wrong with you?!"

Isere was moved with the way Kelvin spoke to her, his voice held so much concern and it hurt her to see him this worried, she turned back to face him and wrapped her arms around him.

"I have no financial issue, my parents and I are fine and in fact, way better than before. But..." She trailed off, she knew she needed to tell him but she couldn't find the courage. She felt weak on her knees suddenly.

"I am happy and at the same time I am not, I have concerns and worries and I'm glad you care." Isere swallowed the lump in her throat.

She looked deep into Kelvin's eyes, entwining their fingers together. "I love you so much and I have never felt this way before, the fear of loosing you always bothers and motifies me."

"I discovered something big not too long, it's something that would change our lives entirely and in as much as I want to tell you, I get scared, I become worried." Isere sighed.

"I just wish as I tell you, you won't change towards me and your feelings would remain the same," Isere said.

Kelvin pulled her back a bit to look at her face, "My feelings changing towards you are impossible! I can't even eat without thinking of you first, it's like I am being charmed or something. I can't even be mad at you in as much as I want to because I won't feel alright, so the thought of my feelings changing towards you shouldn't bother you because I love you with all my heart."

"I'm pregnant Segun." 

"I'm pregnant for you!"
