Chapter 1: Be My Fake Girlfriend

Annalise’s POV

It's Monday. When I arrive at the university, lots of girls are piled up at the university gate. I know who they are waiting for.

“Ah, Prince Ace is approaching!”

“Prince Ace!”

And yeah, they all said his name already. Prince Ace Knight is his name. We are in the same batch and department, which is engineering. He is so popular, and girls would go gaga when they see him. Not to mention, he is smart and can do almost everything. Why did I know? I heard girls gossip about him everywhere. I am not one of those girls because I'm not interested in him. I admit that he is good looking and has lots of sex appeal, but I'm not interested in him, and I'm not one of his fangirls. Every morning, girls would wait at the gate for him. They are so desperate.

Anyway, my name is Annalise Hart. I am just an ordinary and simple girl. I am not that smart, but I somehow manage to have good grades, and that's a relief because I don't want to have low grades. After all, it's college we are talking about. It's hard if you have low grades. I am living on my own at an apartment near the university so that I don't have a hard time commuting. My parents that are far away from me would send money for my allowance. I am an only child, so I need to study hard to have a better future so that I can help my parents.

I am in the classroom and sitting at my seat when my best friend, named Selena, entered the classroom. Selena is a trusted friend, and she is not like those girls who would follow popular guys.

"Good morning, Anna," Selena said while panting.

“Good morning, Sel. Why are you panting? It’s like you’ve been chased by someone”

"Oh. Those girls at the gate are all piled up, and I can't enter, so I squeezed myself just to pass through them,"

"Oh, that's why. Waiting for Prince Ace every morning,"

“Yup. My beauty is ruined. I will retouch”

"You should be used to that every day,"

"Yup. He is like a celebrity,"

It's already 8 in the morning, so the class is about to start.

Fast forward, and it's the last subject in the morning, and the subject is calculus.

"Ok, class. I have an assignment to be posted online later,"

"Ok, professor,"

"Ok. I will take my leave. Enjoy your lunch,"

Thank God, it's already lunchtime. I'm starving.

"Let's go to the cafeteria, Anna,"

"Ok, let's go,"

Selena and I went to the cafeteria and ate our lunch. After eating our lunch, we went back to our classroom. Selena and I talked about random topics when the girls in the classroom go gaga.

“Is Annamise Hart here?”

It's Prince Ace, and did I hear it right? He is looking for me? One of the girls pointed her fingers to me, and Prince Ace is approaching towards me.

“Are you Annalise Hart?”

“Yes. What do you want?”

"Come with me,"

Prince Ace dragged m. I eyed Selena, and she has a shocked expression. Prince Ace dragged me to the rooftop. Lots of girls followed us, but Prince Ace locked the door so that they can't eavesdrop.

“Why did you dragged me here? And what do you want from me?”

"I have a favor to say to you,"

“And what is that?”

"Be my fake girlfriend,"

“What? Are you insane?”

"Please, I'm begging you,"

"Why me? There are lots of girls out there,"

Prince Ace wants me to be his fake girlfriend. Really? Me? But why me? Will I agree to be his fake girlfriend?
