Chapter 11: Preparing for the University Festival

Annalise’s POV

It's been a month, and for the past month, nothing has changed. I'm still a student at the university.

When I passed the midterm exam, I called mom and dad, and they are so happy for me. They said to keep up doing that, and they also said things that can inspire me to study hard. I miss them so much. I want to visit them, but I don't have the time because of my studies. I think when I have time during the summer, I will go back to our hometown and maybe spend a week there or longer.

About the squad, we would bond after class or go out on the weekend. Bonding with them is so fun.

Ace and I? We are still acting as a fake couple in a fake relationship. You know, I realized something, and I can't ignore this anymore. Something did change. I realized that I like Ace. I mean, it just happened. My heartbeat just keeps on beating fast when I'm with him. I broke the promise not to fall in love with each other because here I am, falling for him. I cannot say that I love him, but I know that I like him, and it's going there if this keeps up.

I am planning to confess to him this coming university festival. Ace needs to know my feelings, you know, but if he would reject my confession, then I would accept it. I'm not desperate and pushy. I'm a hundred percent sure that he would reject my confession because, as you can remember, he is not interested in love. But it's worth the try. If he would reject me, I am through being his fake girlfriend, and I would distance myself from him because I don't want to fall hard for him.

I am not ready for love, but here I am falling in love with someone who can't love me back.

Enough with the drama. Right now, we are preparing for the upcoming university festival, which is next week, so we have a week to prepare. Each program has an assigned booth, and our program, which is industrial engineering is in charge of the maid café. We are going to wear a maid outfit. I remember the maid sama anime. 

It's the end of the class already, so it's time to get busy preparing for the festival.

“Annalise. Can you help them paint?”

“Sure”

I helped my classmates paint the designs of the café, and some are making the decoration.

"Let's continue these tomorrow guys because it's getting late,"

“Ok”

I put all my things in my bag.

“Anna”

Ace is calling me, so I grab my bag and went to him.

"You have paint on your face,"

I was shocked when Ace rubbed his thumb on my cheeks.

"Ah, I will wash my face at the restroom. Wait for me here,"

“Ok”

I feel like my face is as red as a tomato, and my heartbeat is beating fast.

When I arrive at the restroom, I washed my face.

Prince Ace’s POV

It's been a month, and as you can see, Anna and I are still in a fake relationship.

The University festival is fast approaching, and all of the students are busy preparing for it.

Right now, I am waiting for Anna because she is in the restroom washing her face that has paint on it.

“Let’s go, Ace?”

“Ok”

Anna and I went out of the university building.

“How was your preparation for the upcoming university festival?”

“Were making progress. What is your assigned activity?”

“Maid café. How about you?”

“Okonomiyaki restaurant”

"Wow, my favorite. I love okonomiyaki,"

“You need to go to our classroom f you want to buy,"

“Can you treat me instead?”

"Ok, ok,"

“Yehey!”

Anna is like a child when she gets too excited.

We talked while walking on our way to where we are staying.
