Chapter 12: University Festival

Narrator’s POV

Today is the university festival. All the students are roaming around and buying foods.

Annalise, Selena, and James are in their room. They are in charge of their booth and are wearing a maid outfit, but James is wearing a butler outfit because he is a boy and is in charge of entertaining students. So far, they have lots of customers.

Selena approached James because she wanted to talk about something to him.

“Ah, James. What do you think about Anna and Ace?”

"I think they are a good match actually,"

"I think so too. How long will this fake relationship last because my instincts tell me that their fake relationship will somehow become real? I hope it would become reality because I ship them"

"Me too,"

"Oh, I have an idea. Let's register them in the wedding booth,"

“That’s a great idea, Sel. I’m in”

"Ok. I will get Anna, and you will get Ace. Let's drag them there,"

“Ok”

James left the classroom and went to Ace’s classroom. Selena on the other hand is going to drag Anna.

Annalise’s POV

I was busy serving orders when someone dragged me.

“Selena? Why are you dragging me?”

"It's a secret for now,"

Where is Selena taking me? We are running when Selena stopped.

"Ok. Let me get you ready,"

Selena and I entered a classroom, and it says wedding booth.

“What are you planning, Sel?”

“Uhm. Getting you married with Ace? Look over there, he is waiting for his bride,"

I look in front and see Ace.

"Here. Wear this, and I will escort you to Ace,"

Selena put a veil on my head. After that, she escorted me to where she is. When I am beside Ace, we locked eyes. Ace is so handsome and has beautiful eyes. I heard students cheering for us.

“Is this your plan?”

"No. James dragged me here,"

“Selena too. I think they planned this”

"I agree,"

Suddenly, a student dressed as a priest appeared.

“Good day. We are here to witness the wedding of Prince Ace Knight and Annalise Hart. Prince Ace. Will you take Annalise as your wife?”

"I do,"

“Annalise. Will you take Prince Ace as your husband?”

I don't have a choice but to answer. It's only a pretend wedding, after all.

"I do,"

"You may now kiss the bride,"

OMG! Kiss the bride? No way.

Ace and I looked into each other, and Ace is leaning. Is he going to kiss me for real? I'm going to close my eyes.

I can feel he breathe, and then I feel a warm feeling beside my lips. I opened my eyes, and Ace kissed the side of my lips. After that, all the students who witnessed the pretend wedding cheered for us.

"Hurray to the newlyweds," Selena and James said.

"You two,"

“Sorry”

"Let's go back to our classroom,"

"Ok. I have work to do when James dragged me here,"

The four of us went back to our classroom.

Hours had passed, and I am now in charge as a cashier. I was busy counting money when I saw someone approaching.

“Welcome to-“

I didn’t finish my greeting because it’s Ace.

“Ace”

“I wanted to give you these”

“Wow. Okonomiyaki. My favorite"

“Eat that before it gets cold,"

“Ok. Ah, wait. Here”

I gave Ace a pack of cookies.

"Thank you. I will eat this later too. I will be going now,"

“Ok”

Ace left. I eat okonomiyaki, and it tastes delicious.

After a few hours, our menu is all sold out, so our president said that we need to clean up, and we are free to go around. I didn't see Selena anywhere. Maybe she is roaming around.

The university is full of joy today. I went to the university garden because it’s peaceful here. I sat on the bench.

"I can't believe you're here too,"

“Ace. It’s peaceful here. Why are you here?”

"I was just roaming around when I saw you,"

“Ah”

Ace is sitting beside me. There's silence, but it's not awkward. I look at Ace, and he is looking at the sky. Is this the right time to confess? Good luck to me.

Prince Ace’s POV

I was busy helping my classmates to cook okonomiyaki when someone dragged me, and it is James. He dragged me to a room that says, wedding booth. James said to wait for my bride. And my bride is Anna, of course. Anna is wearing a maid outfit, and she looks cute and nice on that outfit.

After our pretend wedding, the pretended priest said to kiss the bride, and I kissed the side of Anna's lips. When I kissed Anna, I felt my heart skip a bit.

We went back to our classroom after that. I also went to Anna’s classroom to give her okonomiyaki. She also gave me a pack of cookies.

Right now, I am with Anna because I saw her sitting on a bench. I was watching the sky when Anna called me.

“Uhm, Ace?”

“What is it?”

"I like you,"

I was shocked when Anna said that, but I’m not interested in having a relationship. I like Anna but not in a romantic way.

"I'm sorry, Anna,"

"I know that you would say that. I broke the condition, and I'm through being your fake girlfriend. Bye"

Anna ran after saying that, but why do I feel kind of sad.

Narrator’s POV

When Anna said those to Ace, she ran to the classroom and get her bag.

“Are you going already, Anna?”

“I’m not feeling well, Sel,"

"Oh, ok. Be careful on your way,"

"I will,"

Anna went back to her apartment room. When she arrived, she locked herself in her room.

"I thought that I would be fine after he rejected me, but it hurts. My chest hurts. I didn't expect this to happen. Starting tomorrow, I will avoid him to forget this feeling that I'm feeling for him,"
