Chapter 14: Avoiding Him at All Cost

It's been a week of avoiding Ace, and I think avoiding and distancing myself from him is not working because my feelings for him are getting stronger. I don't care. I will just keep on avoiding myself from him. Ace and I would cross paths and would bump into each other, but no interactions. It's like we are total strangers.

By the way, rumors spread that Ace and I had broken up because it’s been a week that we are not interacting and doing what couples do. It’s a rumor because we didn't confirm that we have broken up, but it's like that. We are not a couple, and a break-up is not the right term because we are in a fake relationship and a fake couple, to begin with. I will consider that we broke-up because they think that we are, and they don't know that we are fake dating.

I think it's back to normal. Ace's fangirls are bothering him again, and I'm back to my usual routine, which is to go to the university alone. After class is over, I sometimes go to the library, and sometimes I will just go back to my apartment room and study and read Wattpad.

The four of us are not like before because we would go out on weekends. Now, no one bothers to invite us to go out and eat, and I kind of miss that. I think Selena and James understood our situation.

"That's all for today, class. See you next week,"

Class is over, and I am now putting my things inside my bag.

“Are you going home, Anna?”

“Nope. I will go to the library for a while. You?”

"I will go home. I'm tired,"

“Don’t forget that we have an assignment,"

"Ok, I know that. I will take my leave,"

"Take care,"

"I will,"

After that, I went to the library. When I was on my way to the library, I saw Ace, and we cross paths again. I just keep my eyes straight and avoid looking at him. And I succeeded.

When I arrive at the library, I do my assignment. After 30 minutes, I'm done with my assignment, and it's time to head back to my apartment room. Before going back to the apartment, I will go to the restroom first. When I was washing my hands, a group of girls entered, and those girls are the fangirls that threatened me a long time ago.

“Oh, we meet again. Is it true that you and Ace had broken up?”

"I'm out of here. Think whatever you think,"

"I'm asking you, so you need to answer me honestly,"

"Yes, we broke-up. Happy now? I answered your question, so please leave me alone. I'm taking my leave,"

"We knew that you would break-up eventually,"

Those girls make my blood boil. If only they knew about us. I'm quite lucky because Ace picked me even though it's just a fake relationship. I knew that Ace would not choose those desperate girls because they are the reason why Ace wanted to have a girlfriend. To leave him alone.

When I was going outside the university building, I saw Ace and a girl handing him a love letter. I just went past them.

Prince Ace’s POV

It's been a week, and Anna is avoiding me. We would sometimes bump into each other, but Anna would just keep her eyes straight. We are like total strangers.

Rumors also spread that we have broken up because, as you can see about our situation, we are not interacting and the perfect couple like before. They don't know that we are just fake dating because of my fans, and I don't want to confirm our current situation. I will let them think about what they think about Anna and me. I don't care.

When rumors spread that Anna and I had broken up, it’s back to zero again. Girls would give me letters or confess to me again, but I reject it immediately.

When I was walking in the hallway, I saw Anna. I think she will go to the library. I wanted to say hello, but she is looking straight, and I know that she wouldn't say a word to me. And when I am going back to my condo unit, a girl called me.

“Prince Ace!”

“What?”

When I turned around, the girl hands me a letter, a love letter. But then Anna passed by us. I gazed at her, and her face looks like she is in a bad mood. I look back at the girl.

"I'm sorry,"

I left the girl and walked outside the university. I saw Anna ahead of me, and I am just a few feet behind her. Why is she in a bad mood? And why do you care, Ace?

Come to think of it, I miss those times when Anna and I would leave the university together, and I would accompany her to the apartment where she is living.
