Chapter 16: The Varsity Player

Annalise’s POV

That night, I almost forgot that I would go to the grocery store to buy foods and other things that I need because I'm almost out of stock. Glad that my mom sends me money.

I got ready and went to the grocery store. When I arrive, I bought what I need. After buying it, I went outside. I was on my way back to the apartment when someone bumped into me because he is running.

“I’m sorry. Are you ok?”

"It's ok. I'm ok,"

"Are you sure,"

“Yup”

"Ok. I got to go. I'm in a hurry,"

The guy left, and I went back to my apartment room.

The next day when I was walking through the hallway, my P.E teacher called me.

“What is it, sir?”

“Can you get my class record at my office?”

"Ok, sir,"

I went to the P.E department, which is located in the gymnasium.

When I arrive at the gym, there are volleyball varsity players that are practicing. I went inside the P.E department and get the class record. After getting the class record, I went outside. When I was about to exit the gymnasium…

“Watch out!”

I look at the back of me, and a volleyball ball is going to hit me, so I block it with my arms ad it hurts so much.

“Ouch!”

My arms are so red ad it hurts so much.

“Are you ok?”

"I'm ok,"

I look up, and he is the guy from last night.

“Oh?”

"Oh. You are the one that I bumped last night. I'm sorry again,"

"It's ok,"

"Oh, your arms are turning red. Wait here. I will get a first aid kit,"

I waited for him just as he said. After a few minutes, he went to me and treated my arms.

“What’s your name?”

“My name is Annalise Hart. You?”

“Mine is Harry Cruz”

"You're a varsity player. Nice to meet you,"

“Yup”

We shake hands.

"I will use my handkerchief to hide that swollen arms of yours because I didn't see a triangular bandage at the office,"

"Ok. I will return this to you tomorrow,"

“Ok”

“I will return this to you after classes are over. Outside the university building,"

“Ok”

“I will take my leave. Thank you”

"No problem,"

I went outside the gymnasium and hands the class record to the P.E teacher. After that, I am on my way back to the classroom.

Prince Ace’s POV

I was walking down the hallway when I saw Anna. I look at her arm because there is a handkerchief tied in a knot. What happened to her?

When Anna is near me, I asked her.

“What happened to your arms?”

"Oh, it's nothing. I got hit by a volleyball ball earlier,"

“Is it that bad?”

“It hurts a bit, but a guy who unintentionally hit me with a ball treated it right away,"

“Ok”

Anna left.

When she mentions a guy, I felt this weird feeling. Why am I feeling like this?

Narrator’s POV

In Annalise’s mind:

“Why is Ace acting like he is concerned? Nevermind”

When Annalise arrived at the classroom, Selena approached her.

“When did you go, Annalise?”

"I was walking down the hallway when our P.E teacher told me to get his class record,"

"Oh, and what happened to your arms?"

"Ah, this. I got hit by a volleyball ball,"

“That hurts. Did you treat it?”

"Yup. A varsity player who unintentionally hit me treated me,"

"That's good. You should put ice pack also when you got home,"

“Ok”

After that, Selena and I took our sit and wait for the professor to enter the classroom.
