Chapter 9: Preparing for the Midterm Exam

Annalise’s POV

"Next week is going to be your midterm exam, so you need to start studying. I know that you can all pass the exam. Fighting. I'm taking my leave now,"

You heard that right. That was our professor for the last subject for this day.

I will study for a week again. Maybe I will go to the library today and study there.

“Sel, I'm going to the library and probably start studying for the midterm exam,"

“Ok”

“How about you?”

"I will study at home. I'm going now. See you tomorrow,"

“Ok”

Selena left the classroom and went home. I texted Ace that I would be at the library to study for the midterm exam.

I get my bag and went to the library. When I arrive at the library, I search for the best spot to study. I sat near the window because it’s peaceful here.

I am now studying and making review notes when a hand covered my eyes.

“Guess who am I?”

“Ace”

“Why did you know?”

"By your voice,"

“Is it obvious?”

"So obvious,"

Ace sat beside me and put his notebooks on the desk. He said that he is going to study too.

I was so focused on studying and making review notes. Suddenly I had this urge to look at Ace. When I look at Ace, he is so focused on studying. My eyes is glued to him.

“Uhm, Anna?”

"Ah, sorry,"

“Something the matter?”

Oh no, I need to make an excuse. Oh, I know, I'm now studying calculus. Even though I know how to solve this, it would be a great excuse.

"Ah, I need your help actually with solving this thing. I don't know how to solve it,"

"Oh, that's easy. Let me teach you,"

Ace taught me how to solve it, and when he is explaining, I once again look at his face and not listening to what he is explaining.

Prince Ace’s POV

Anna and I are at the library studying for the midterm exam.

"Wow, the view outside is mesmerizing,"

I looked at Anna, and she got that mesmerizing look on her face with sparkling eyes. I looked outside, and the view is stunning. I get my phone and take a picture of Anna's side profile with the view outside.

“Are you taking a picture of me?”

“No”

"I know you are. Let me see,"

“Ok. You got me. Here”

"Oh. Not bad. I kind of like it. The lighting is great,"

"Let's take a picture,"

“Ok”

Anna and I took a picture together. I’m going to upload it on my Facebook later with the caption, studying together.

Narrator’s POV

For a week, Annalise and Prince Ace studied at the library. Selena and James also tagged along with them.

One day when they are studying at the library, they took selfies together and upload it on their Facebook accounts with the caption, squad goals.

Even when Annalise and Prince Ace went back to their condo and apartment room, they continued to study.

Sunday came, and Prince Ace texted Annalise to study together at his condo unit. Annalise went to Prince Ace's condo unit, and they studied together. They studied and talked. Annalise took a selfie with Prince Ace, and she uploaded it on her Facebook account.

Tomorrow is the start of the midterm exam, and it will last for a week. Good luck to the four of them.
