Chapter 8: Treat

Prince Ace’s POV

Today is Sunday, and I'm planning to treat Anna to a café nearby because I owe her for taking care of me when I have a fever. She took care of me for two straight days, and I thought of paying her back, and that is to treat her.

I called Anna, and seconds later, she picks up the phone.

“Hello, Ace?”

“Ah, Anna. Are you free today?”

“Yeah, I am. Why?”

"Let's go to a café nearby at 3 in the afternoon. My treat because you took care of me this past two days,"

“Ok”

"I will wait for you outside the apartment,"

“Ok”

It’s still morning, so I busied myself. I play video games. And when it’s already afternoon, I ate lunch.

When it’s already 2 in the afternoon, I got ready.

Annalise’s POV

It's Sunday, so I need to clean up my apartment and go to a laundry shop to wash my clothes.

When I was cleaning, my phone suddenly rang. I pick my phone and see who is calling me, and it is Ace. I answered it, and he says that we will go to a café at three in the afternoon and it will be his treat to thank me for taking care of him when he got a fever.

Thinking about Ace treating me to a café. It’s like a date because it’s only us two. Why am I fantasizing about it? It's not a date. It's just a thank you treat, Annalise.

I continued doing my chores for today. When I’m done doing my chores, I checked the time, and it's already 1:30 in the afternoon. I went to my closet and pick what clothes to wear later. I will wear high waist pants and a shirt, paired with sneakers. That's my kind of fashion. After that, I got ready.

When I’m done taking a bath, I get dressed and put face powder and lip tint. And I’m ready to go. It’s almost 3 in the afternoon, so I need to go outside now. Maybe Ace is waiting for me outside the building already.

When I got down, Ace is waiting for me.

“Ace”

"Oh, you look nice, Anna,"

“Thanks”

“Let’s go?”

“Uhum”

Ace said that I looked nice. It’s the first time that a guy said that to me.

Ace and I went to the café. When we arrive, we search for a seat.

“What do you want?”

“Uhm. I want a crepe, spaghetti, and ice cream shake,"

"Ok. I will be back,"

Ace ordered our dessert. After a few minutes, he came back with a tray of food.

"Here is your order, and this is mine,"

“Thanks”

Ace ordered baked macaroni, chocolate cake, and oreo shake.

We started eating.

"Anna, you have pasta sauce beside your lips,"

I wipe the sauce with a tissue.

"Not there. Let me wipe it,"

I was shocked because Ace wiped it.

"Thank you,"

"You're like a child eating the spaghetti,"

We continued eating, and now we are eating our dessert.

"This crepe is so delicious,"

“Really? Can I have a taste?”

“Sure”

"You're right. It's delicious,"

Ace and I talked about random topics.

"Let's have a picture together, Anna. I will upload it later, and I will tag you so that the students will not suspect about us not going out,"

"Sure. Let me just fix my hair for a bit,"

Narrator’s POV

Annalise didn’t know that Ace is taking a picture of her while fixing her hair. Annalise doesn’t know that he is taking her picture because she is facing the window, so her side profile is visible. When Annalise is done fixing her hair, they took pictures together. Overall, they had fun at the café. They both got even closer, and they are confident to joke around.

The next day when Annalise arrived at the university, she observed that most of the girls are gossiping and looking at their phones. Annalise just ignored them.

Prince Ace and Annalise didn’t go to the university together because Prince Ace texted her that he would go to school early, so that's why Annalise went to the university without him.

When Annalise arrived in the classroom, she asked Selena what the girls are gossiping about.

"This is what they are gossiping about,"

Annalise saw her and Prince Ace on the screen.

"Ah, that,"

“You two went to have a date?”

"No. That's a thank you treat because I took care of Ace when he is sick,"

“Ah, I didn’t know that”

Annalise told Selena what happened, starting that day when Prince Ace got sick for two days until the picture at the café.

"Oh, ok. I get it now,"

"I'm sorry that I didn't tell it to you. So, are we ok now?"

“Yup”

“Good”

After talking, their professor entered the classroom, and classes start.
