Chapter 26

Just seeing Lucifer infuriated me. I knew he had his eye on Rosemary, my mate! I didn’t buy all that made from him bullshit. She was perfect and though he held the look the world desired I could see through him. He was evil and greedy. Always out for himself. He didn’t deserve her. I did and though I came on business, I was determined to find out if he knew where she was. I have to admit, when I inherited the thrown after my father was killed by one of his many enemies, I looked forward to the perks of being king and using any means necessary to find Rosemary. 

“As you know, some humans in connection with the Vatican were murdered. Their throats were torn out and bodies torn to shreds.” I could see a smirk on Lucifer’s face. I didn’t care otherwise but jumped at the opportunity to be a messenger boy for them to meet with Lucifer.

“As you know, if you have any ties to this crime, you would be breaking the treaty when you agreed not to be involved with their affairs.” Lucifer seemed to be preoccupied as there was a long silence.

“Hmmm., well it wasn’t me.” He brushed back his hair and held a wicked smile. “So you can inform them.” He stood to leave. 

“Well that’s if I believe you and I don’t.” The air felt thick as I could see Lucifer’s annoyance. One of his demons chimed in and broke the ice suggesting we have a drink in the ballroom. “Fair enough” maybe a little alcohol could get Lucifer to tell me what I needed to know about Rosemary. We stood and entered a ball room with tons of demon and vampires, even some rouge wolves along with a few dark angels. Beautiful Naked women were giving lap dances. Drinks everywhere with music playing and dancing. 

With a snap of his fingers we had drinks and women in our laps. 

I began to make small talk before I’d gather my information. I was trying not to notice the beautiful blonde grinding in my lap. Lucifer had a fiery red head putting her ass in his face. He looked a bit annoyed. We were taking shots and he was lighting his cigarette when his eyes blackened with a look of shock and extreme anger on his face. I traced his eyes and my jaw dropped. There was the most beautiful woman in the room. Completely naked giving some lucky asshole the dance of a lifetime. Every man in the room couldn’t keep their eyes off of her. Rosemary.
