NINE

Charlotte's POV.

      Tired. I got to my room with Cilla and we talked about all the events today.

"I just don't like her." I said.

"Its clearly understandable!!" Cilla said and i nod.

"Oh...., Xavier asked me on a date tomorrow night!!" I told her.

"Awwn. That's so sweet. You know, when Xavier left for you. Marya looked like she wanted to cry!!" Cilla said.

"Well, duh!!"

"I pity her though!!" She said.

"Oh please!!" I said and sat up.

"She has to accept that I'm Xavier's fiancee and there is nothing she can do about it!!" I told her.

"Look at you..., claiming him, but when he  is around. You snub him!!" She said laughing.

"Yeah i know. Is it bad i want to kiss him so much. Gosh, he didn't even make it last!!" I said dreamingly.

"Well, dreamer. I have to sleep!!" She said and stood up.

"Alright Cilla. See you tomorrow." I said.

"Bye..."

"..., no i think it should be purple!!" Cilla said. I rolled my eyes.

"Don't you think blue is better?" I asked her.

"But purple means royalty!!" She purred.

"But blue stand for love!!" I said.

"I've heard enough of your bickering. We are using both and a touch of red so lets have a look at the balloons!!" Lacey said and i rolled my eyes as we followed her. But i took a look around at the streets. The spirit of the fest is still in the people and many people are going to the fair...., well, not some kids. They look tattered though. And they looked at the fair like it was some god. I walked to them.

"Hi kids!!" I said and they looked at me.

"You want to go to the festival?" I asked him. Why is the fest not free by the way? The elder one nodded. They were three, the eldest which is a  boy. Then the next which is a  girl. And the smallest. Which is a  boy.

"Awn. Why don't...."

"I buy you a ticket and also food!! Where do you stay?" I asked them.

"Under the bridge!!" The younger one replied. Geez.

"And your parents?" I asked.

"They died few months ago!! The loan sharks drove us out of our home." The eldest said.

"Oh my God...., I'm so sorry. Then.., why aren't you taking to the orphanage?" I asked.

"Its far from here. And we have no money!!" The eldest said. Oh my God!!

"Okay..., why don't, we have fun in the festival. We grab lunch and i take you to the palace. And tomorrow..., we go to the orphanage?" I asked them.

"The palace?" The younger one said smiling.

"So what do you say?" I asked. The younger one looked at the eldest. And the girl held her brothers hand.

"Yes!!"

"Great!!" I said.

So, let's just say..., after taking them to the festival and buying them lunch. I couldn't find Cilla and my mom and i tried to call her, but she is not picking. So..., in other words. I'm lost. With three kids!! So, i had to choice than to call Xavier....., urgh!!

"Hi Charlotte." His voice boomed.

"Xavier. I'm lost!!" I said.

"What? Where are you?" He asked.

"I don't know. Well, there is a big shop called Belle. I don't know...., and a bar." I said.

"Belle. I got it. I'll be there. Just stay there. And be careful!!" He said.

"Please hurry!!" I said and hang up. So, lets just say..., i suffered!! The sun was scorching and later, rain fell, i had to cover the kids. And i couldn't find Xavier!! I'm sure the kids would hate me now. This is so terrible!!

"Charlotte!!" I heard a yell. I looked up to see Xavier in brown khaki pants and white polo. And he held a coat. I smiled as he hugged  me.

"Geez. I'm so sorry!!" He said. Okay..., that was unexpected!! I hugged him back. He feels so warm.

"Okay..., why are few pairs of eyes looking at us?" He asked. Then i remembered....,

"The kids!!" I said. And pulled away from Xavier and the cold hit me. I shivered. He covered me with the coat.

"We need to take them to the palace!!" I told him.

"Wait...., what?" He asked.

"Please. I'll explain later. Just trust me!!"

"..., and please i want new clothes for them!!" I said as the maids nod.

"Yes ma'am!!" And left. I was dragged.

"Ow.., Xavier!!" I said.

"You can't just bring kids here!!" He said.

"I know. I'm sorry, but just look at them. They need help. And I'm sure the palace is big enough to accommodate them. Tomorrow,  I'm taking them to the orphanage. So just one night. Please!!" I begged holding his two hands. He sighed.

"Fine. But please can you tell me your plans before just doing them?" He asked. I smiled and hugged him.

"Thank you..., thank you. Oh and Xavier..., " i said and pulled away.

"What again?" He asked.

"I have  request. Can we..."

"Your highness. Sorry for interrupting. But her royal majesty seeks your attention!!" A maid said, her head hung low.

"Xavier...."

"I'll be there soon!!" He said. The maid nod and left. Xavier looked at me.

"I have to go. We'll talk later!!" He said. Rubbed his thumb on my fingers and gave a promising smile before leaving.

Oh well!!

Xavier's POV.

   Moms. They are the number one people im your life that is responsible for your life. They are sweet,  kind. Caring. Loving and sometimes...., annoying!! I love my mom. But with all due respects.....,

"Mom...., stop this." I said.

"Its for your own good!!" She said.

"It's fathers wish. And...., we are doing fine. We are working it out!!" I said.

"That girl is no good for you!!" She said.

"She is. Well, she might be overboard sometimes. But she's a good person. Why don't you at least try to get to know her!!" I said.

"I don't need to. I don't like her and there is nothing in this world that will make me like her!!" She retorted.

"Well, you have to. Because I'm marrying her!!" I said. She looked at me astonished and nod.

"Well, I'm telling you, you are making the biggest mistake in your life!!" She said and walked away. I sighed. God!!

I swear a month ago, i was just doing so fine. But all these is just driving me crazy!! I went to make preparations for dinner. Met with Gwynfor. The council. Meetings upon meetings. And I'm finally on my bed...., tired!! And i still have dinner with Charlotte. I groaned and went to the bathroom. I had shower. Shaved, opened my gigantic closet and picked black jeans and blue button up shirt. And a jacket. A black sneaker and i dragged myself out of my room.

"Where are the flowers i requested...?" I asked and they gave me red lilies.

"Thanks!!" I said.

"Your majesty.., you look tired!!" The maid said.

"I'm fine!!" I said and walked up to her room. I knocked.

She came out and my eyes lit up. In front of me, is a beautiful lady who looks simple breathtaking. Today was different...., white top that stops before her belly button. And a sky blue skirt that starts below her stomach with a white band and flows gently down to her knee, and white wedge. Her make up was nude and she tied her hair in a ponytail. And a flower band was on her right hand. I smiled.

"Turn around!!" I said and she smiled and  gladly turned around. The top was an open back. Gosh, she well knows how to take a mans breath away. I held her hands and kissed the back while closing my eyes.

"You look wonderful!!" I told her and she smiled.

"You stole the color again!!" She said and i smiled.

"Well..., i do have a nice taste!!" I said. She rolled her eyes smiling. I gave her the lilies.

"For you..."

"Thanks!!"

"Shall we milady?" I asked.

"Yes we shall your Highness!!" She said and bowed a little.

Charlotte's POV.

      Amazing. Xavier led me to an amazing view. After climbing a whole lot of stairs. We got to an open balcony. It had a four beautiful decorated pillars at the each side. And a table at the centre and a couch beside it. And i looked up at the open sky. Its so beautiful!!

"Gosh Xavier!!" I said.

"This is wonderful!!" I said and he  smiled.

"I'm happy you like it!!" He said. He led me to the couch. And we sat.

"Well, i wanted a dinner that is filled with thoughts, conversations and of course..., a good environment. So..., i decided...., a couch so it will be more comfortable." He said smiling. Yeah..., plus..., we can make out on a couch, so fine by me!!

"Its nice!!" I said and he smiled.

"But..., we have desserts so we can just hold and stare at the open sky!!" He said and i smiled nodding. I can't just  wait to kiss him!!

"Perfect!!" I said. He stood up and opened the cake.., chocolates and fruits..., and ice cream!!

"Jeez..., ice cream?" He asked.

"What's wrong with ice cream?" I asked him.

"Its gonna melt. They should've...."

"Well that's gives us the reason to start scooping." I said.

"I like the way you think..." He said and took a glass bowl. He put a large scoop of ice cream into it and gave it to me. I smiled and eagerly took a  spoon and started scooping. I closed my eyes as i savoured the taste.

"This is so good.....," I said and he sat beside me with his bowl of ice cream.

"You know..., i always loved ice cream since i was this tall!!" He said.

"Me too!! Mom used it to get me those days!!" I said and he  smiled.

"I can imagine!!" He said.

"What....?,  i wasn't that a troubled child. Well, maybe i was a little. But...., who cares. I am who they made me be!!" I said. He looked at me.

"And how is that?" He asked. I took a scoop out of my bowl and ate.

"I won't go into details...., but i wasn't a really happy child!!" I said silently. And he held my vacant hand squeezing it a little.

"I think everyone has a troubled past!!" He said and kissed my hands. I was blushing and hoped it didn't show.

"Well...., if you care! My childhood..." He laughed.

"Was full of drama and troubling sister. Oh, and royal prep!!" He said.

"Royal prep?" I asked.

"Its a school for royals. And that's where you are taught morals and how to rule better!!" He replied.

"Like barbie charm school...." I asked.

"I don't know what that is!!" He said and i smiled.

"You know what..., the next date..., we are having a movie marathon!!" I said and he smiled.

"Next date hnn?" He asked and i smiled.

"Of course!!" I said and we continued talking.

"You know...., I've always wanted to dance under the sky!!" I told him.

"Really....? Come on." He said and stood up.

"What...?" I asked as he pulled me up.

"Uhmm....," he said and called someone. He spent minutes pacing, his right hand in his pockets and his left hand was on the phone. He finished calling and came to me.

"Come on!!" He said and he held my hand.

"Where are we going?" I asked him and he just smiled.

"My favorite place in the palace!!" He said.

We finally got there.., it was a green house garden. It had lamps that made the flowers glitter. And it had a beautiful garden. And it has a bench. I smiled as he came in front of me.

"Can i have this dance?" He asked and he snapped his fingers. Slow music was heard and i gasped.

"Aw, Xavier..." I purred. He brought out his hands and i took it. He put his left hand on my waist and my heart had a rapid beat.., his right hand was with my left hand, my right hand on his neck as we danced slowly. Our eyes on each other. His eyes looked weary and tired.

"How was your day Xavier?" I asked as i removed my left from his and wrapped it around his neck.

"Well..., tiring. But i think it worth it!!" He said smiling.

"Kiss me!!" I said. He smiled and scratched his hair slightly.

"I might not be the best kisser ever..." He said and i shook my head.

"I don't care right now!!" I said. He smiled and leaned in. I leaned in and his lips touched mine. I responded quickly and his hands went round my waist and pulled me closer. His mouth was sweet with the sugary taste of chocolate. Uhmm..., i could die here. For a person who hasn't had a girlfriend before. He is really doing good. My hands went up and found their way to his hair. As i pulled slightly and he moaned silently. His right hand was on my neck and left was exploring my waist. We pulled away after some minutes. And our heads together, our nose touching.

"How was that?" I asked breathlessly.

"The best!!" He replied. I smiled. And he chuckled.

"Can we do it again?" He asked and i smiled.

"Okay lover boy..., but..., you have to catch me first!!" I said.

"What...?" I pecked him and held my skirt as i ran out of the garden.

"Wait..., Charlotte!!" He yelled after me as i just ran smiling. Into the open sky and cold. I ran up the stairs and my wedge were starting to hurt.

"Ow..."

"Charlotte..." He yelled and ran to me. His eyes filled with worry. I smiled and he sighed.

"You okay?" He asked and i nod.

"My feet hurts though!!" I replied. And he nod. He picked me up and carried me bride style. We got up and the cold rushed to me and he placed me on the couch. He removed my wedge and massaged it.

"Ow..., ow!!" I said.

"You shouldn't run away from me Charlotte!!" He said and sat beside me. His eyes looked at me and my body. Wow Xavier....,  way to get me turned on.

"You are having goosebumps!!" He said and innocently removed his jacket and wrapped it around me. I couldn't help but laugh.

"What?" He asked and smiled too.

"Nothing...., " i said and laughed. He scratched his neck nervously and i stopped laughing. I snuggled close to him and his hands were round my waist as we looked at the stars.

"They are really beautiful!!" I said and he nod.

Xavier's POV.

    Amazing. I felt just amazing right now. Her close to me, the breathtaking mind-blowing kiss we shared made me go nuts. And i can't think of anything than to do that again!?  Her hands played with the button of my shirt and God knows i feel so happy. Or do i say excited.

"Oh my God..., look!!" She said and i looked  up. Its a meteor shower. I looked at her and pulled her by the jacket and kissed her. She responded and i smiled giving her quick few kiss.

"I caught you..." I whispered to her ear as i feel her pull me closer. Guess who knows Charlotte Fayanna Gallagher's sensitive spot. Me!! I left kisses on her neck.., trailing them and she moaned which just turned me on. I lay her down on the couch as i went on top and kissed her, her hands doing a great job on my hair and meddling with my button. My right hand to hold my balance so my weight won't be on hers and my hands were on her naked stomach as my hand itched to go further up. But i didn't know if she will be  comfortable. I don't know if she's comfortable!! I pulled away.

"May i..., uhm?.."

"Yes Xavier..., gosh. Yes!!" She said and i smiled as i kissed her jaw and my hands slipped under her top and i feel so greedy so now!!

"Please tell me if you are not..."

"Xavier..., Xavier..., we are making out!! You don't have to ask for my permission!!" She said. I nod.

"I'm sorry.., I'm sorry. I just want to know if i am going over board and...."

"Fuck Xavier. Just kiss me!!" She said. I nod and kissed her. She unbuttoned my shirt swiftly. She's good!! And pushed me up a bit go remove my shirt. And i smiled as i looked at her lustfully. I started with her neck, kissing..., biting. Anything that felt so good. She held my right hand and guided it to her uhm..., boobs. I will never touch a ladys boobs. I removed my hands from there.

"Xavier...., there is nothing wrong in that!!" She said as if reading my hand.

"But my dad told me....."

"Geez..., don't talk about the king when we are making out!!" She said.

"I'm sorry. I'm sorry...." I said and i reluctantly...., forgive me, my hands reached up and i didn't know what to do.

"Uhmm..., what do i do now?" I asked her.

"Actually...., why don't we do this another time?" She asked.

"Wait..., I'm sorry. I didn't...,  i just!!"

"I'm not mad..., but its really getting cold!!" She said and i nod.

"You're right!!"

"There!!" I said and put her on her bed. I smiled and turned.

"Xavier....," she said. I turned back.

"Yeah..?" I asked.

"No goodbye kiss?" She asked. I smiled nervously and kissed her and she pulled me. I pulled away. I don't want to lead her on.  And I'm not sure i will pull away if i continue.

"Goodnight!!" I said and gave her a kiss on her forehead. Then walked out of her room. I danced happily to my room. I got in and sat on my bed. I reminisced everything that happened and i just blushed. Oh my God!! So..., we are okay now..? Are we dating? Wait...., she's your fiancee🙄. I had a shower. And put on my pyjamas. And slept with a smile plastered on my face.

I know, i know. The moment was amazing. Yeah, I'm just talking with my interview with the latter. Gosh, I'm an idiot😅😅. Oh well.

Charlotte and Xavier had their second kiss. Who else thinks Xav is too innocent for his own good!! And who else thinks Charlotte has a heart of gold behind that fierce crazy heart? I do!!
