Xavier's POV.

     Tiring. We never  had one conversation without arguing.  And after  the tour we were on the swing. I smiled remembering the memories on the swing. And i looked at her,  she was staring at her boots.

"I knew it!! I had a feeling i was missing something!!" She said and looked at me.

"I always wanted  to have a cute puppy in my castle!!" She said.

"What?"

"You know.......,  well i watched Barbie charm princess and i do think princesses would always have a  pet!!" She said and i laughed.

"Pet? Is it necessary!!" I asked her.

"Yes!! And it should be a puppy. A very cute retriever!!" She said as she smiled. I nod.

"You'll be a princess soon. You can do whatever you want!!" I said.

"I know. But uhmm,  i want to ask you a  question."

"Ask away!!"

"Why do you need a wife?" She asked. I sighed and ruffled my hair.

"My dad is sick." I said and she looked at me.

"And soon I'll be crowned King. Needless to say,  i need a Queen!!" I added and she nod.

"We're on the same boat then!!" She said. I looked at her.

"Your Dad is sick?" I asked.

"No! My Mom. Its the reason I'm here in the first place. Or else I'm sure I'll be  living my life back at LA or Miami. This year my work is based in New York so....., " She trailed off. I grinned.

"You didn't want to marry me?" I asked. It was surprising. Every single girl in the kingdom wanted me. It was  like,  every store,  every where i go,  they will flock around me. And Marya was different. Maybe that's why i like her so much.

"Cause....., its not like i didn't want to marry you. I didn't want to marry anyone." She replied.

"Why?" I asked. Why would a woman, especially a very very pretty woman just make up her  mind not to marry?

"Why don't you tell me  what happened yesterday?" She asked.  I smiled and nod, she didn't want to talk about it and that was okay.

"Alright."

Charlotte's POV.

     Understanding. That was what i felt when he didn't pressure me. I smiled and took the breath of fresh air. It was sweet and pleasant. I never had  this kind of air. Where i had no worries,  no work and no anxiety!! I smiled and felt free.

"Are you even listening?" He asked.

"Sorry....,  i was just,  the air,  the scenery,  the view. The sky,  it feels so nice!!" I said.

"I never  took you as the nature lover!!" He said and i rolled my eyes.

"Right,  because i am a crazy drunk right?" I asked him. Note the sarcasm.

"No, no....., i just....."

"Yeah whatever. So,  since we are done with the tour which is super amazing!! But I'm still gonna lose my way as around here so.....,"

"Don't worry,  baby steps!!" He said.

"Oh......kay,  but i don't like people cutting my words so.....,  I'm going out!!" I said and he nod.

"I also don't like when people snap at me!!" He said.

"Oh i am sorry,  your majesty!!" I said bowing my head and stood up.

"You're still on house arrest!!" He said and stood up.

"I'm not a prisoner,  and who made that rule anyway?" I asked him.

"The royal family. My mother wanted to do worse but i pleaded on your behalf!!" He replied. That Queen hnn!

"So i can't go out. That's preposterous!!" I said.

"Well,  i don't know how you live in America,  but in Gardenia,  you have respect and obey instructions, especially when you're dealing the royal family!!" He said and i sighed and looked away.

"Plus you should be involved in something other than going out and all. You'll be a princess  soon and you will need to handle responsibilities, so i suggest you to start taking some!!" He told me and i shrug. He was  right but i didn't want to accept it. I'm Charlotte Gallagher!! I can do anything i want!! He pocketed his hands and sighed. The wind making his hair wave and it really made him look very hot.

"Besides,  you played the violin,  educated people on how to strut and failed woefully by stumbling while you walked and you also wanted  to loose your hair and i went up and carried you to your room and you puked in my tuxedo. I had to change and the ball stopped earlier than expected. And here you are!!" He  said.

"Oh!!"

"Yes. And you should apologize to the family by dinner." He said. Urgh!!!

"Yes your highness!!" I said slyly.

"Oh and my Mom doesn't like you that much..."

"I figured and i actually don't ca...."

"Do me a favour and at least act like a good Lady!!" He said.

"I don't care about your Mom." I said.

"You should!!"

"Why? Cause I'm marrying you?" I asked him.

"Maybe...."

"Maybe? Excuse me, i was forced here to marry you. At least, i should be given some space!!" I said.

"Well maybe you would and  respected yourself and not get drunk at a party!!" He said.

"I do think me getting drunk was practically your fault!! So, what happened? Did you fuck Marya that night?" I asked him.

"Don't talk about Marya that way!!" He said.

"Exactly!! So it is okay for you to like..., no, sorry,  i meant Love another girl and still act like a boss around me when you are not even my husband already!! But i can't make a mistake of just getting drunk?" I asked him.

"Charlotte..., it was also a mistake!!" He said.

"Just shut the fuck up. I'm sorry, shut up!! I am not a  fool so stop saying it like liking her is a mistake. Oh i will behave like a proper lady. If that is what you want. But i bet it with you. This marriage is going to be hell!!" I said.

"Your majesty!!" I added and turned to walk away. I huffed angrily. I will show him. I will show him that i..., Charlotte Fayanna Gallagher is not a quitter.

Xavier's POV.

    Hot. I knew i should be thinking about how my Marriage will be hell as promised. But man, her walking steps. I pocketed my hands. Why wouldn't she just stop and calm down for a bit? I know i wronged her  for staring at Marya that way, that was shameful!! But she didn't even let me say sorry. I really need to work on this with her. If we want to make it work. We need to work together. But the question is..., does she even wants the marriage  to work?

I clapped and a maid came in. I turned to her.

"Guide her. She doesn't know where she is going!!" I told her and she nod and scurried away.

"Hey man!!" Derek said and i nod and sat on the chair.

"Marya will be here shortly!!" He said and my heart skipped a beat. I don't know if i will ever stop liking her but..., man. I like her. I really do.

"Good!!" I said and he chuckled.

"So, how is her gorgeousness?" He asked. I smiled.

"Amusing as usual. But, she is still angry at me with the fact that i stared at Marya, and can you believe she asked if i had sex with her after she passed  out?" I replied and he laughed.

"Is it funny?" I asked him.

"Sorry, its just...., you guys are so opposites!!" He said.

"Yeah. And i feel like she is going to make me pay. She did say she will make the marriage hell for me!!" I said. And he laughed.

"Well, i think the only thing you should do is make her like you!!" He said.

"How will i make her like me? I didn't even make Marya like me. And she is, very warm hearted and calm. Not to talk of Charlotte. Derek..., Charlotte!!" I said and he laughed.

"Well, i know but you have  to work hard. Take her on a date or something!!" He said. Date?

"I don't know how to....."

"God Xavier!! Buy her a rose or something and take her to a dinner." He said.

"But...., what if she says no?" I asked.

"Then ask until she says yes!!" He said.

"But....."

"Hey guys!!" I heard a chirpy voice. I smiled and looked up.

"Hi Marya!!" I said and she smiled before sitting. She was wearing a black short skirt and blue top under a grey cardigan.

"Sup?" Derek asked her.

"I'm good Derek. What are you guys talking about?" She asked bringing out her glasses and novel from her bag.

"Xavier's fiancee!!" He said.

"Oh..., " she said adjusting her glasses.

"I think she is funny!!" She said.

"Funny? She is scary!!" I said. She turned to look to me.

"Scary? Does she look like a monster?" She asked me.

"No Mar. She's not an antagonist from a novel or kid story!!" Derek replied her.

"She's more of a  hot  crazy protagonist!!" I said and Derek gave  me an high five which i took.

"H-hot?" Marya asked.

"Yup!! I'm gonna bring our food!!" He said and left. I smiled and turned to Marya who was staring at me like i was a stranger.

"Hey, what did i do?" I asked her.

"Nothing!!" She replied and turned to her book.

"Uhmm, nice skirt by the way!!" I told her and i saw a shade of pink on her cheeks and she nod.

"Thanks Xav!!" She said and i folded my hands.

"What is the name of your novel?" I asked her.

"Its not that interesting!!" She replied.

"I don't think that's true!!" I said chuckling. She looked at me.

"Is that funny?" She asked.

"No, no Marya....., I'm sorry!!" I said.

"Are we still on with the fair?" She asked me.

"The fair!!" I said.

"I'm back!!" Derek said with a waiter. I was giving a special treatment which made me uncomfortable and with the bowing.

"Thank you, thank you!!" I said and they left.

"So the fair Xav!!" Marya said.

"Right...."

"Why don't you take her  to the fair?" Derek asked me.

"You are right!! I think she  loves having fun!!" I replied munching on my chips.

"The fair? Take? What are you talking about?" She asked.

"I'm asking Charlotte on a date!!" I replied her and her  face fell.

"What? The fair is ours. Its our tradition!!" She said.

"Well, why can't she be  part of the tradition?" I asked her. She sighed.

"We are best friends!!" She replied.

"I know that!! Though i have a soft spot for you!!" I said and Derek chuckled. And i did to.

"Why are you laughing? I need to go!!" She said.

"Wait Marya!!" I said.

"I need to go!!" She said and stood up carrying her bag.

"Chase her!!" Derek said and i followed her as she went.

"Wait..., Marya!!" I said and she kept walking. She went out of the restaurant and i followed her, i ran and caught her hand.

"Why are you mad?" I asked her. Her eyes puffy.

"Marya!!" I said stroking her cheek.

"Talk to me!!" I said. She hugged me and i was surprised before i hugged her back.

"Xavier!!" She said and i stroked her hair.

"Yeah?" I asked her.

"Come home with me!!" She said and she pulled away.

"Uhmm, sure. I need to tell Derek!!" I said and she nod. I called him.

"Uhmm, Derek, I'm...."

"Taking Marya home. I know what she wants." He said.

"Yeah. So we will talk later!!" I said.

"Yeah. And Xavier...."

"Yeah..."

"You have a  fiancee!!" He said.

"I know!!" I said.

"Just reminding you!!" He said.

"Bye!!" I said and i hang up. I smiled and looked at Marya.

"Lets go!!" I said.

Charlotte's POV.

      Tired. If the maid hasn't come to my aid, i will have really missed my way. I called Cilla and she was coming early. Friday. Yay. My dad left early this morning. And mom....., i don't even know. I went to my room and i searched online. How to be a lady...., God. Am i watching Barbie? And that made me squeal. Barbie!!

"Yeah, and ice cream!!" I said and sat on the sofa. I can't go out but at least i am having so much fun. My phone rang and i picked it.

"Hey Char!!"

"Dylan. Been expecting your call!!" I said.

"I'm sorry. Been so busy. I heard you are getting married. Its trending on social media now!!" He said.

"Really?" I asked.

"Uhmm, yeah. When are you getting a PA?" He asked.

"I don't know. I will." I reply.

"Yeah whatever. So....., why didn't you tell me?" He asked

"I'm sorry. I...., it was impromptu!!" I said.

"Really? I mean..., you are marrying  a fucking prince. You call that impromptu?" He asked.

"Believe me it is. Trust my crazy mom!!" I said.

"Hey, when are you coming to Miami? There is a red...."

"Carpet. I know..., i will try to come. But, with the wedding preparations and all this....."

"Why don't you come with your fiance?" He asked.

"What? No!!" I said.

"Consider it has a....., means to show people your husband-to-be!!" He said.

"I will think about it!!" I said. Like i would ever take that prince.

"Cool. So, are you gonna invite me to your ball?" He asked.

"Ball?" I asked him.

"Jesus Charlotte. Get a PA like..., right now!!" He said.

"Fine i will." I said.

"Besides, aren't you supposed to know what is going on?"

"In your Kingdom?" He asked.

"I don't care!!" I said.

"Classic Char. Classic. But you are getting married now. Be sure to have responsibilities!! Plus, the prince is a wow!!" He said.

"I know right, he's just a jerk sometimes!!" I said.

"Tell me about him!!" He said.

"He is hot. And princely. He goes by rules rules and he is hopelessly in love with some girl who is his best friend!!" I said.

"Whoa. That's bad!! I understand though. I mean, its not easy to stop liking someone to marry. Okay, I'm lying. I don't!!" He said.

"I know. Its not easy for him as it is for me. But at least he should be decent about it. He also as a responsibility!!" I said.

"And that is to make you happy? Give him a break!! You are a piece of work!!" He said.

"Shut up!!" I said and he laughed.

"Just give him a chance. And be responsible. You don't want Courtney talking about you right?" He said.

"She doesn't dare!! If she does anything that involves me. I will effin pull her  hair out and scratch her face with my nails!!" I said.

"Temper woman. Temper!! Just be careful and like that prince c'mon. He's so hands!!" He said.

"God are you gay or something?" I asked him.

"I'm straight. But i know someone nice when i see one!!" He said.

"Yeah yeah, whatever. I wonder what he is doing right now." I said.

"Something princely?" He asked.

"My instincts is telling me that he is up to no good and my instincts are always right!!" I said.

"They are 95% right. Sometimes, they disappoint!!" He said.

"It was not my fault the plan i made to spoil your arranged date with the girl backfired!!" I said.

"Yeah yeah. Later crazy!!" He said.

"Yeah. Bye Dy." I said.

"Bye Char."

I hanged up and i sighed. What the heck is he doing right now?

Xavier's POV.

    Tension. I was sitting on the couch, and Marya went to make Coffee. Marya and i have never been alone except movie nights which consisted of her mom in the next room. And she has changed to very short shorts. Which is turning me on!!

"Have you been online?" She asked.

"Nope!!" I replied.

"Your 'fiancee' is trending!!" She said and i sighed.

"It was expected!!" I said and she came in. Those shorts!! She gave me my coffee and sat beside me.

"She is weird!!" She said.

"I know right!!" I said and forced myself not to stare at her.

"We should talk about it though. How are your wedding preparations coming up?" She asked me.

"Uhmm, my mom is  handling it. There is a  ball before it which is in two weeks. And then wedding pics. And the royal wedding!!" I said.

"Oh-kay....., do you like her?" She asked, anxiety in her voice.

"I don't know. I could!!" I said looking at her. She gave me a weak smile.

"Will we still be the same?" She asked.

"Of course. You're my girl remember!!" I replied and she smiled before stroking my hair. Jeez.

"Will i still be  your number one?" She asked me. And i grinned.

"No one can take your place Marya!!" I said. And she wrapped her hands round my waist snuggling to me.

"She must not break us okay?" She said. I pulled away to look at her eyes.

"She won't Marya. You shouldn't be asking these. You know i won't allow it!" I said trying to read her eyes. They showed nothing and she blinked.

"Sorry. I was...." She said and went to the far end of the couch.

"I was just scared!!" She said.

"Scared of what? Marya..., no one  will break us. Who will i go to when I'm feeling down?" I asked moving close to her in every word.

"Who will i run to when I'm frustrated or troubled? Who will always have my back and read me stories which are childish but if that makes you happy, yeah!!" I said and we both laughed.

"My stories are nice. I'm writing one though!!" She said.

"Really? What's the title?" I asked her.

"Impossible!!" She replied and i nod.

"What is  it about?" I asked her.

"When i publish it. You will know." She said. I stood up.

"That's if you catch me snooping!!" I said and ran up to her room.

"Xav!!" She  yelled and i chuckled. I opened her room and i smiled. Her room hasn't changed. There is still stuffed animals, quote. Ghandhi, and her  pictures. I saw her reading table and i saw her journal, i took it.

"Xavier. Please.....,  don't!!" She said and tried to take the journal from me but i raised it up. Marya is a shorty.

"I'm just curious!!" I said and she jumped but didn't reach.

"Urgh!! Xavier!!" She purred and i used my right hand to caress her face. So soft!! I licked my lips and i feel her tense. I put a  strand of her  hair behind her ear. Gosh Xavier what are you doing? Kiss her!! You've always wanted to know how kissing her will feel. I followed my heart and  leaned in, and leaned. She...., she is not stopping me. She isn't. Just a little bit more. And i leaned. God!! I pulled away. I can't kiss her!! That will complicate matters.

"You....., you don't want to kiss me?" She asked. Damn!!

"I want to. I really do!! But..., i can't!!" I said.

"Why?" She asked.

"Do i look bad? I know I'm not as pretty as your fiancee but i..."

"No Marya. You are beautiful. And i like you. But..., i can't complicate things!!" I said and she closed her eyes, she opened it, her eyes watery and she nod.

"You are right!!" She said and she  sat on the bed.

"Its impossible!!" She said.

"I'm sorry i led you on!!" I said and she nod.

"Just leave!!" She said and laid on the bed. I went and  knelt beside her.

"Marya. Please don't cry!!" I said.

"I don't like it when you do!!" I told her stroking her hair and she sat up.

"Xavier..., leave!!" She said.

"Marya...."

"I'm not mad at you!!" She said.

"Yes you are." I said.

"You are right Xavier. I missed my chance and now i have to pay for it. Because I'm an idiot!!" She said.

"What do you mean?" I asked her.

"The answer has always been there Xav. You've never seen it!!" She replied.

"Seen what?" I asked her. She sighed and leaned in. Is she gonna kiss me? Should i stop her? She looked at my eyes and pecked me.

"Just go!!" She said and collected her journal before leaving for her bathroom. Ouch!! Now this is a  problem.

So, this is so epic. Charlotte is mad at Xavier. Marya is mad at Xavier. Xavier is caught up in between and confused. Our dear innocent Xavier!!

Expect so much drama in the  next chapter, I'm afraid of what Charlotte might do again!! Marya..., is confusing!! Xavier...., i pity that lot😂😂.
